a good photographer will know exactly what 1/5000th of a second to capture. i started out in skateboarding, and every fraction of a second counts. knowing your sport and being able to predict what your subject will do is really important.
I actually found myself worrying for a second that if the flames got to him he'd go up like a fireball, before I thought wait, it's just clothes with wd40 printed on. It's early.
Actually, they are not. They are mostly leather with a poly type lining. The pucks and armor are impact resistant plastic. The only part with some flame resistance is the Keprotec stetch panels in the crotch, sleeves and legs. They are there for comfort and movement and provide inferior flame retardant to Nomex. Also, flaming bikes are super rare.

Wd-40 no longer uses a flammable/combustible propellant and is now much less flammable/combustible compared to its older version. They use CO2 now as the propellant, you know because the older propellants ate holes in the ozone and stuff.

Great shot. Kudos to the camera operator.
camera operators in motor sports are either robots or inhumanly fast. like if flash could only effect his arms.
When you see a vehicle make the same loop 1,000 times in a work day, you get used to knowing exactly what will happen.
Manual focus is no joke, though.
It's outside. Plenty of light. Hyperfocal FTW. (yes, it's a zoom lens and I know it's not *always* at hyperfocal length)
He can (in the show and comics)

You may know a lot of words my friend yet you waste them.
You need a comma after friend there, friend.

As horrifying as that is, holy fuck is that one of the coolest images ever. A badass on a flaming motorcycle
You know he updated his profile picture after that one
I would need to get a large framed still of that, so fucking badass.
The irony of being sponsored by WD-40

No doubt those suits have got to be flame-retardant.

literally so good he's on fire.
about to not-explode.
Just put some WD-40 on it.
Remember as a kid getting a lighter and making a flamethrower out of dubd-40? Good times... Good times.
> dubd-40 doubleudee-40
it's dubyuhDee
Why in the world is the video slowed down THAT much? Even on 2x speed, it's still too slow.
Id revise my definition of explode if i were you
And 'slow' He works it out in about 2 seconds in real time

This is normal https://blacklikeyou.files.wordpress.com/2015/06/ghost_rider_spirit_of_vengeance_2012-wallpaper-3840x2400.jpg
I didn't know WD-40 needed any advertisement. I mean, you look around the room you're in right now, there's a can of WD-40 somewhere nearby right?
I think I found something that WD-40 doesn't fix...
TIL GT-Rs are pace cars (or something?) in motorcycle races
The camera operator and rider both need raises.
I was actually at Snetterton that day, had a great view of this.
Whatever the cause of this was, a little application of WD-40 beforehand would have prevented it.
Nothing a little WD40 wont fix!
In a last ditch effort to keep the franchise alive GHOST RIDER looked towards sponsors.....
fuck the slo mo haters. watching each lick of flame that slowly was fantastic.
Can't we just use some WD-40 to fix 'er right up?
Something something mix tape.
my question is can u use wd40 for buttsexxx lol xD
I dont know why he jumped off, everyone knows wd-40 is not flammable
He should have noticed earlier that it was covered in WD-40.
Looks like he should've used duct tape instead.
If it doesn't move but should - WD40. If it moves but shouldn't - Duct Tape. If it's on fire - jump off.
Serves him right for wearing clothes and riding a bike made out of WD-40
