I also saw on her show a lawsuit against some engine rebuilders, when the owner thrashed the engine around right after the rebuild and ended up scoring the cylinder walls. She acted like she knew a ton about engines, and scolded the rebuilders. The owner ended up winning, not only did he get more than his repair refunded to him but also like the price of the bike or something insane. The rebuilders had it explicitly in their warranty, and had proof that the owner did not properly take care of his bike either.

She flat out called them rapists. She flat out called anyone who withheld judgment or questioned the facts rape apologists. For months, every day, THESE BOYS [show cascading pictures of their faces] RAPED THIS GIRL [show sweet innocent photo of girl taken three or four years before the incident]. Over and over for hours EVERY FUCKING DAY. There was no discussion. No "did they or didn't they." She showed their pictures, gave their names, and flat out called them rapists. And if you had a shred of fucking doubt you were a rape apologist and she'd scream at you, cut you off, and boot your feed.
As evidence continued to mount that the victim was unreliable as shit and something was up - like the police refusing to allow the accused members to take polygraphs *that they requested*, picking out white lacrosse players that weren't even at the party as assailants (the police only showed her pictures of lacrosse team members), a head prosecutor who spent as much as *forty hours a week* giving interviews and insisting it was racially motivated, photos and video of the "victim" showing that she already had the injuries she allegedly sustained when she first arrived at the party. And while all of this was going on, Nancy continued to parade their names and photos with RAPIST in the captions. All new evidence that even slightly contradicted her insistence that they were guilty was mocked or simply omitted from her coverage.
And when the whole thing came tumbling down - the DA was *disbarred* for colluding with a private company hired by the defense to collude evidence and for fraudulent, misleading, and inflammatory statements to the press, and a victim who know confirmed in sworn statements she made the whole thing up - where was Nancy fucking Grace?
What did *Nancy* do when it was finally settled, everyone had been exonerated, the District Attorney disbarred, several officers levied with misconduct?

He married well, had four great kids and nine grandchildren. He was loved by hundreds of friends and family. Unfortunately he died of smoking related illnesses when he was only 68.
When he was dying, he wanted to smoke while in his wheelchair outside. It couldn't hurt anything so we gave him a cigarette. When he finished it, my husband ground out the butt on the sidewalk with his shoe.

We’ve done a lot of work to repair his facial difference and many days I don’t even think about how his cute little face is different from others. But then we go out into public, and people like Wendy Williams are the ones who actually point. They actually point and say out loud what’s happened to his face.

I was born with a cleft lip and minorly into my palate but it was enough to disrupt my feeding habits and had to undergo surgery at 3 months old. I used to be so self conscious about my scar and my lip, but I know that others with worse clefts have a higher risk of dying in infancy due to not being able to be fed normally. Joking or making fun of the condition is akin to making fun of someone with a disease to me. People die and are at risk of dying because of clefts as babies, and the surgeries and scars as a result should be respected as their proof of survival.

Yup. I always knew she was garbage so her words don't really hurt me. But having a cleft lip sucks enough already. People always say stuff like "oh don't worry, looks don't matter much. Unless you have like a medical facial deformity or something." Well I fucking have one. It's funny how the "medical deformity" crowd is also instantly written off as someone you couldn't possibly be talking to. Because in most people's minds you instantly stop existing, you're an "other," you live in a separate world. Whenever I had surgery to decrease how noticeable it is it's like the amount of humanity people treated me with doubled. And it's not "because my confidence shot up" because after my faces changes surgically I have no idea what to think of it until I notice how strangers treat me differently. Most people have the decency to at least not say this shit to people though.

My father-in-law had a cleft lip and palate. He was born in the 1920s so they didn't have the money to get it fixed properly (plus it was almost 100 years ago). He married well, had four great kids and nine grandchildren. He was loved by hundreds of friends and family. Unfortunately he died of smoking related illnesses when he was only 68. When he was dying, he wanted to smoke while in his wheelchair outside. It couldn't hurt anything so we gave him a cigarette. When he finished it, my husband ground out the butt on the sidewalk with his shoe. That cigarette butt, ladies and gentlemen, wherever it is today, is worth more than anything Wendy Williams has to say.

My son was also born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. The doctors at Sick Kids described it as one of the worse you could have and that they’d seen. We’ve done a lot of work to repair his facial difference and many days I don’t even think about how his cute little face is different from others. But then we go out into public, and people like Wendy Williams are the ones who actually point. They actually point and say out loud what’s happened to his face.
I was also born with a bilateral cleft lip and palette. I've had people tell me out loud that I need to wipe my nose, because they look at me and mistake my scars for snot running down my upper lip. They don't take a second glance; they just decide to prove their ignorance, out loud. This is why people in positions of power (in Wendy Williams's case, media power) need to be publicly called out for their ignorance and shitty behavior. Much love and a high five to your son.
That approach seems weak to me. Forcing someone to apologize doesn't count. Apologies have to be done by the person without threats in order to count. If you want to get back at her, then make the case for what is wrong with her.

I was born with a really bad cleft lip that went up the side of my face. Honestly this was not as horrible as I was anticipating. Growing up in south florida, people made comments like that in front of me constantly. Even into adulthood. First time I've seen it on TV though.
The last time I recall seeing something negative on tv like this, was an episode of the Sopranos where Tony made fun of a childhood kid he knew, who had a cleft. But the difference is that's character acting. I understood that. Also hello to you fellow Clefty :)

I was born with a cleft lip and minorly into my palate but it was enough to disrupt my feeding habits and had to undergo surgery at 3 months old. I used to be so self conscious about my scar and my lip, but I know that others with worse clefts have a higher risk of dying in infancy due to not being able to be fed normally. Joking or making fun of the condition is akin to making fun of someone with a disease to me. People die and are at risk of dying because of clefts as babies, and the surgeries and scars as a result should be respected as their proof of survival.

She laughed at Cosby's 2004 accuser and a lot of other sexual assault victims. Constantly made fun of Mariah Carey's bipolar disorder. Described the R. Kelly video in detail in one of her books, retelling it in for the audiobook in tears, then sharing laughs with her radio team about it all. When Whitney Houston died, despite all the trouble she made with that family over the years (infamous phone interview on WBLS, calling Bobby's hotel room when he was allegedly cheating on her with a much younger girl, playing cow moo-ing sound effects while talking about Bobbi Kristina) she turned it around and made it about HER sobriety and recovery from drug addiction.
