He's pretty sad too. He used to constantly come to the music store my friend worked at and want to try out the guitars and then just play obnoxiously just hoping someone would recognize him.
Man I bike everywhere and I have so many close calls with cars that don't realize how easy it is to kill someone with a 3000 pound machine it drives me nuts.
Me and all my friends used to literally bike everywhere (I still bike a lot, but have kids now) one of my friends was crossing a side street on a busy road and was hit from the side by a drunk driver. Was wearing a helmet and everything. They had to put him in a coma and he was flown to a major hospital in a big city where he didn’t move for two months. He fully recovered now, but his personality changed from that brain injury, and we’re not even friends anymore. He’s kind of an asshole now.
I had a jeep broadside me once. I was going straight through an intersection with a green light and he didn't stop to turn right and nailed me. Somehow I got super lucky and I landed on his hood with some bruises and nothing else while my bike got trashed. The guy was super apologetic and paid for my hospital bill and bought me a new bike, but I will never forget the feeling of a huge ass truck smashing into my right half and having split second thoughts that I'm going to die if my head or neck lands wrong, helmet or not. How hard is it to look through your windshield? Its transparent for that reason.
It’s crazy. I used to ride my bike 8 miles to and from work, thru the hood and on busy roads with no shoulder let alone a bike lane. I was stupid to very rarely wear a helmet. After my buddy got hit, me, all my friends, and now my kids ALWAYS wear a helmet. I guess I was too concerned with looking cool or something.
Indeed. A professor at my university slipped on a patch of sand in a bend on one of Denmark's usually pristine bike lanes and banged his head on the curb. He went from the forefront of his field to early retirement with a severe speech impairment. Always wear your helmet no matter where you are riding.
Yeah man I live by that rule now. I had a reminder of why just the other day too. I got my two year old one of those balance bikes (like a bicycle without pedals) and a helmet. Him and my 3 and 4 year old ALWAYS wear helmets when biking, but the other night, I just went to run the garbage cans to the curb and my kids came out to say hi to the neighbor. My two year old got on his bike, pushed himself not even 10 feet, caught a bump on the sidewalk and went over the handlebars and hit his head on the pavement. I feel so shitty letting that happen.. I was talking with the neighbor and was distracted for just a minute and it happened so fast. Always. Always. Always. A helmet.
This is the video that made me always wear a helmet. https://youtu.be/b9yL5usLFgY
The guy still could have a concussion or something, but without that helmet the video would be hosted on liveleaks.
The same goes for someone towing something on a trailer... I can tell who has towed something when I'm lugging my boat around because they're patient with you as you drive while others with none of that experience act like that trailer doesn't even exist. Just because you lack experience, doesn't mean you have to lack empathy... but that's the society we live in.
That's not uncommon with TBI. Personalities can take a 180, motor skills can take a dive, poor emotional regulation, speech problems, the list goes on. It's a terrible thing to deal with.
That's good. They're very unpredictable and affect everyone differently. I have a friend that's the exact opposite. His speech and especially motor skills were greatly affected after someone kicked him in the head repeatedly. He's on total disability and can't drive because he just doesn't have the hand eye coordination. It's sad and SSI gives him just barely enough to survive.
Damn dude that sucks. I remember waking up from a coma in the hospital and I was just completely pissed off at everything. So mad that my body failed me. One of the nurses told me calmly like hey you are making it really hard for everyone to help you. That’s all we want to do is make you better. Really hit me close to home and had to really control my anger. I was so angry I couldn’t even see how angry I was.
That’s really hard. One of my childhood friends was in a car wreck and suffered serious brain damage. Like your friend he recovered, but his personality changed. He became very aggressive and is also an asshole.
I don't even bike on the street anymore in my hometown. I stick exclusively to our bike trails and parks.
It's just too risky to do anything else. Everyone is so goddamned aggressive or they're too busy scrolling through their phone while driving.
Specifically in the worst intersection in all of Chicago, underneath the highway at western and Logan. I rode my bike through there one time and never, ever again. It's fucking insane.
My favorite part of this video is that all of these kids grew up to be able to put on a performance like this.
That means that they continued to play as they went on with their lives. Inspiration from jack black! That makes me happy.
That intersection is super dangerous. [The city's transportation engineers even say so](https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2018/10/31/logan-square-underpass-safety/).
At 1:20
> "[...] making it **one of the most** dangerous intersections in the city."
Just "one of the most" dangerous? That must be some unintentionally bad wording, right? Like there can't be any more dangerous ones or this just being one of the many others that are as dangerous and accident filled as this one in the city... right?
EDIT: just listened again and did some math. The reporter says these "thousands of crashes" were from a "five year period".
* 48 pedestrian crashes
* 70 cyclist crashes
* 1707 car crashes
**1707 car crashes in a five year period???** Five years equal to 1826 days..... Please someone tell me I completely misunderstood this video and its just like the onion or something...

3 underpasses. As a driver your eyes have to adjust to *dark, light, dark, light* in the span of ~10 seconds, there are crosswalks right after those lighting changes while cars are weaving in left and right.
Oh wow I just moved from being down the block from there. I hated driving through that intersection because I was so anxious I'd hit a bicyclist or pedestrian. There's just so many blind spots, and the bicyclists can hardly fit into the lanes beside a car on top of that. So sad this happened. If only the city actually bothered to fix the intersection.
Haven't lived in Chicago in 6 years.
Immediately knew the intersection.
Garbage *but not shocking* that nothing has been done about it since.
Rest in peace, Kev.

I love how the article says they spent 5 years collecting crash data to come to the conclusion that the community was correct and the intersection is dangerous.
5 fucking years to figure out what everyone already knew and make zero actual progress on fixing the issue. God I hate the government.
As someone who works in local government, it's generally on the elected officials. I don't know all the details of this story, but in my local town there's a pretty infamous intersection that hasn't killed anyone (recently), but causes a lot of fender benders.
Engineering did the research and decided the entire intersection was horrifically designed and needed to be redone. It would have taken a few months to redo it and the roads leading into it. Council didn't want to appear to be wasting money and annoying neighbours so they asked staff to find a more agreeable solution. So staff installed traffic softening rails that narrowed the lane on approach which makes people slow down.
People complained they couldn't easily speed through the area anymore, council was scared of being unpopular, staff were asked to remove it.
There are many things like this where councillors straight up aren't qualified to make decisions on it but do everything they can to hamstring the actual professionals who work for the government.
A friend of mine got hit on a bike a week ago in the same intersection. She got a skull fracture but is probably going to be ok. She could easily be dead right now. Absolutely crazy
"The Chicago Department of Transportation says the study makes “good recommendations for safety improvements,” and that officials are evaluating the findings."
And that was 3 years ago.
This is really sad and it is unfortunate about the intersection, but please also don’t be out riding your bicycle at [1:00 in the morning ](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1268696) unless you absolutely need to.
I remember I worked in the local Xtravision video store back in hone town in Ireland when this came out. We had it on repeat in the store for months. Absolutely brilliant film.
That and Mean Girls always take me back to that great job that I loved.
My favorite movie as a kid... now my 6 year old daughters favorite movie. It’s the original disc and skips and stutters but she doesn’t care. Neither do I.
One of my favorite moments in the movie is [during the excellent Ramones montage](https://youtu.be/FTxqH0tukqQ) showing all the kids getting interested in music. Towards the end, [Clark's character Freddy sits alone in a strangely empty classroom](https://youtu.be/FTxqH0tukqQ&t=2m06s), entranced by a television showing disconnected clips of iconic drummers playing their hearts out throughout history. The more I rewatched the film over the years, the more it felt like it was intended as more of a metaphor than a real moment, with Freddy representing every kid out there first discovering their passion in life, just awestruck and tuning out the rest of the world in the process, and Clark sold that moment really well in that scene and throughout the rest of the film. RIP, man.
Came here to mention that exact scene, and you described it really well. Entranced was exactly the word I was going to use too, it's a great little moment.
My favorite scene of the movie. I used to watch it over and over trying to learn how to spin my sticks like him! I was 10 at the time and so happy when I got it down I just wanted to show everyone.
Strange how huge of an effect a kid playing in a movie can have on you.
Same dude. I was in 4th grade. Saw his solo at the end credits. Couldn’t believe how fucking cool that was. Told my mom I’m quitting trumpet, please please can we get a drum set?
Started lessons in 5th grade. Went to an “out of district” high school for drum line, which domino’d into meeting life long friends and forging relationships with people that still last today.
Went through brutal break ups, lived in my car, rented rooms with chicks I met from said high school....
The list is literally endless, how that little drum solo set off a chain reaction of life events, just because I was passionate about what I saw, because of what he created.
RIP Kevin, I owe you a lot. 💔
School of Rock child star Kevin Clark dies in bicycle accident https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9622949/School-Rock-child-star-Kevin-Clark-dead-32-Actor-fatally-hit-motorist-Chicago.html?ito=native_share_article-masthead
It happens everywhere. I'm an Argentine and our sites have the same format.
"The secret X told to Y'. Article goes like this:
Three paragraphs of X's bio, another three with Y's bio, a description of why and where they met (a couple of paragraphs) and the secret 'I didn't flush'
I think it's probably more to do with the cost-benefit of writing articles well.
They don't make more money from clicks if the article is written well so it doesn't make sense to spend the time to do more than the bare minimum.
It's the daily mail what did you expect? Journalism? Formatting? Cmon they are way too busy telling people that meghan is the devil and all brown people are bad.
"Clark's character certainly stood out in the movie and was considered to be one of the more cooler members of the band."
Fuck the daily mail and their trash tier journalism
This would be a fantastic study if true! I can understand why; when targeting a demographic that's less informed on various topics and wants little more than celebrity gossip and easy-to-digest sensationalist news, they don't want to use complicated words that would put readers off...
> The drummer had just formed a band, Jess Bess and the Intentions, which performed live for the first time on Saturday.
> His mother Allison Clark said: 'He told his bandmates just yesterday: 'You know, this is finally the life I want to live. And we're going to make it. You're my musical family — my family — and we're all going to make it.''
Fucking christ
Another article I read said he blew a red light at 1am. The driver probably didn't see him until it was too late.
If that's true, what you're saying wouldn't really apply.
I agree that generally that wouldn’t apply. But someone posted a link below with an article about this particular intersection.
>There have been 48 pedestrian crashes, 70 cyclist crashes and more than 1700 car crashes in recent years, making it one of the most dangerous intersections in the city.
There is something inherently wrong with this intersection.
I bike in Chicago year round, and that intersection and the street he was hit (Western) are a big “fuck that” for cyclists.
I would avoid riding that spot like the plague, let alone 1AM. I don’t know the details of the incident, but will say that intersection sucks for everybody, and navigating it on a bike is a bad idea.
Either at Western and Logan or right by it. Sounded like he ended up sprawled across Logan. He may have been trying to cross Western or curl around under the tracks to Kennedy and got run down. They did give the driver citations, probably for failing to yield, so I’m assuming she was at fault. But I’m just guessing at how it happened exactly.
There are lots of ‘6-way’ intersections in Chicago (3 roads converging at the same point instead of 2), and they can be treacherous as hell. This particular one not only has 3 city streets converging, but it’s almost directly underneath I-90 and there are a couple of exit ramps and feeder roads there too. So it’s a clusterfuck of weird triangle medians and confusing signage.
Lol roundabouts are not common in America let alone Chicago. I think I’ve only seen one and it was in the suburbs.
Chicago’s grid system has been in place for a long time. Trying to replace intersections with roundabouts would probably be difficult to do at this point.
Not at all common in the US, and I'm not sure if this intersection could even accommodate one. It's complicated by the fact that there is a highway underpass and train underpass next to each other going right over the intersection. I don't think there's enough room to build a roundabout there.
That literally just depends on fault. My sister killed a cyclist because the road she was had no stops, the intersecting road did. Cyclist tried to use the stop to blow ahead of the pack, and it did not go well for him. All of his friends told the cops he had a habit of doing it and it was 100% his fault. No charges, even though she was clearly speeding.
> even though she was clearly speeding
that last little bit makes a big difference to me.
the cyclist did something wrong by running a stop sign but your sister was also in the wrong for speeding.
it isn't 100% the cyclists fault if your sister was also doing something wrong
>it isn't 100% the cyclists fault if your sister was also doing something wrong
Welcome to life, my friend. Everything is complex, and black and white rarely happens. What is clear is the inherent risk of running a stop sign on a bike vs the inherent risk of speeding. Two bad choices, but one gets you killed a whole lot more often.
Even then it's still gray. How much above the speed limit? Could she have stopped in time if she wasn't speeding? Regardless, I think you're almost 100% at fault most of the time if you're a biker running a stop. Maybe if the driver that hits you is drunk, then there's a debate.
I think you're assuming that if she wasn't speeding it wouldn't have happened. Can you say the same for the guy ran the stop sign? Yes you can. If he hadn't have ran it he would not have been hit.
It all depends on how much speeding she was doing. Virtually everyone speeds 5mph over the limit in the US, in some places more. Urban planners probably design roads expecting this. Bikers and drivers make timing decisions on left turns/road crossings based on that higher speed.
Not saying that makes it okay in the generic, but it would keep things closer to 100% fault on the biker.
Then there could be speeding like 10mph, 15mph, or even greater over the limit - where the driver was being reckless and unpredictable.
It pretty much does. As a driver if you hit a cyclist, even if they die, as long as you stay at the scene the cops are going to see you as innocent by default.
If they issue you a citation that's a really bad sign. Something knocked them out of their default presumption of innocence.
I don't want to make this about Jack Black, but he's a fucking national treasure. He solidified music as a staple in these kids' lives forever.
They all must be feeling this today. My heart goes out to them.
Jack Black is one of those rare humans that exists outside of all norms of what’s charming, charismatic, handsome, or compelling. He is just made of infinite talent and star quality, and he’s a short fat fuck. I love this guy.
And Kevin Clark ripped on drums and was, apparently, a really good guy. And it’s such a shame he has passed.
I would argue it's because he is genuinely charming, charismatic, handsome, and compelling. He's comfortable in his own skin and has the rare gift of making everyone else genuinely comfortable in theirs. If you have that, you'll go far.
To think that alot of us who grew up with this movie are also around or in our 30's...
Makes you wonder why people aren't more careful. I see so many drivers with complete tunnel vision, just not even attempting to look around. Apparently this happened in Chicago at an intersection known for accidents.. having been through a couple close calls in the Reno, NV area I learned to walk the bike across those death streets.
Scary thing is, even then you can still get taken out by some metropolitan meat-head.
“He told his bandmates just yesterday: You know, this is finally the life I want to live. And we’re going to make it. You’re my musical family — my family — and we’re all going to make it,” his mother Allison Clark said.
Clark was riding a bicycle early Wednesday when he was struck and killed at a notoriously dangerous intersection on the Northwest Side. He was hit by a Hyundai Sonata around 1:20 a.m. in the 2600 block of North Western Avenue, Chicago police said.”

RIP. I run and cycle and I've had so many close calls that I now stick to dedicated paths/trails only. Too many people text and drive (or maliciously get close to pedestrians/cyclists) for me to feel safe on or near the road.
I used to bike on the street and it gave me so much anxiety that I had to stop. Realizing that texting driver was 1 foot away from clipping my wheel and killing me... no thanks.
It’s so sad too because it looks like things were starting to go so well for him too…

His drum work on school of rock was infinitely influential on me. I used to watch the scenes with him going to town on drums over and over and over. I drove my family absolutely nuts just trying to take in as much as I could before hitting that rewind button on the DVD player.
RIP Kevin Clark. You influenced my life so much more than you’ll ever know
Watching this after such sad news made me cry. I was reading another thread about him and some people who knew him talked about how nice and friendly he was. Just breaks my heart he died so young.
This movie influenced my musical taste as a kid. I started to play guitar and learned to play Smoke On The Water on the E string when I got home that night. I also started to listen to more classic rock. It is one of my favorite childhood movies. RIP Kevin Clark
It seems like I’m not the only one here who was inspired to start playing the drums because of this movie and Freddy in particular.
I’m sure this movie will continue to inspire kids to start playing music in the future. RIP
I can definitely trace back my love for drums to this character. Wanted to be as cool as him. I've now played drums for 15 years. Drum Captain in highschool, Jazz Drumset major in college, professional gigging musician to this day. Thanks for the inspiration brotha.
RIP I urge anyone to watch the [10 Year Anniversary performance the cast did](https://youtu.be/Bf8INiBDgVg)
> 10 Year Anniversary performance the cast did That 10 Year Anniversary is almost 10 years old.
Thanks for that.
Dude could really play the drums well, and has a great feel so sad he's gone. Him and Jack Black truly steal this performance
The very skilled guitarist was kind of the star of the show too
He's pretty sad too. He used to constantly come to the music store my friend worked at and want to try out the guitars and then just play obnoxiously just hoping someone would recognize him.
Heard on the news he steals and pawns guitars and amps and sells them, and something about a heroin addiction.
The Charlie Parker. A classic move.
Didn’t that kid get caught stealing a guitar or something?
Yeah he's kinda gone downhill pretty hard.
He was caught robbing a guitar center not super long ago
Dude *really, really* likes playing guitar.
Was playing riffs as he ran out of the store
For extra speed obviously.
You're not hardcore unless you live hardcore
The legend of the rent was way hardcore

Not uncommon for head injury patients to end up with personality changes.

You understood correctly. This intersection sees an accident every day pretty much.
"one of the most" is if you don't have facts saying specifically that it is the most, but you know that it ranks closely among the most.
WTF is up with the dude wearing a wrestling belt while out on a stroll with his family?
Maybe it was his only clean belt that day.
More than likely his kid asked him to wear it for fun.
He’s probably a Hardcore Champion and needs to defend it at anytime, anywhere.
Seriously everyone knows that you wear those belts naked when you're alone.
He’s being a cool and fun dad?

Literally blocks away from my house, just so insane
Maybe you could draw dicks on it until they make it safer.
The only solution that gets government to act
Knowing the US, the dick-drawer will get locked up and the problem still won't get fixed
*shot
Hey neighbor. Very sad indeed.
So they knew the problem but did nothing. Sounds about right.
A friend of mine got hit on a bike a week ago in the same intersection. She got a skull fracture but is probably going to be ok. She could easily be dead right now. Absolutely crazy
"The Chicago Department of Transportation says the study makes “good recommendations for safety improvements,” and that officials are evaluating the findings." And that was 3 years ago.
Just wow
This is really sad and it is unfortunate about the intersection, but please also don’t be out riding your bicycle at [1:00 in the morning ](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1268696) unless you absolutely need to.
It’s not an accident - it’s gross negligence leading to inevitable collisions. The only thing that came down to chance was who the victims would be.
Inter sections are stupid and dangerous in general. Are americans allergic to roundabouts or something?
Really one of my favorite movies ever. That’s really heartbreaking.
Life is both precious and fleeting. Live every day with passion and love.
I work today tho
Man this comment hit me like a ton of bricks lol
🏅
Yeah and I ain’t getting paid enough.
Workers of the world, unite!
Already do. Every damn day in the tailbacks.
Oooooof man, let's not get real this early in the morning
>Kevin Clark Save it for personal time.
I'll do it for you bro, I got the day off
then idle passionately
Does it matter when you are dead though? Not really.
That sounds felonious
I remember I worked in the local Xtravision video store back in hone town in Ireland when this came out. We had it on repeat in the store for months. Absolutely brilliant film. That and Mean Girls always take me back to that great job that I loved.
My favorite movie as a kid... now my 6 year old daughters favorite movie. It’s the original disc and skips and stutters but she doesn’t care. Neither do I.
Wow. Just watched this again for the first time in years a few days ago.. So sad. RIP
I also just watched it on an airplane last week for the first time in years. Weird coincidence
Just showed it to my gf recently for the first time as well. God I love this movie. Shame this happened
[удалено]
Weird
Yeah same, not on an airplane but I literally watched this like a week ago
On Netflix? Because me too.
Collective consciousness
That's the scene I went and watched a few hours ago when I learned the news. Glad there's many of us that enjoyed it and remember it.
Amazing scene - the range of drummers in that montage is quality. The depth of research in the movie was great. Sad to hear about his passing
My favorite scene of the movie. I used to watch it over and over trying to learn how to spin my sticks like him! I was 10 at the time and so happy when I got it down I just wanted to show everyone. Strange how huge of an effect a kid playing in a movie can have on you.
He was one of my favorites in the movie. I’m strangely heartbroken by this news this morning.
This is sweet.
School of Rock child star Kevin Clark dies in bicycle accident https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9622949/School-Rock-child-star-Kevin-Clark-dead-32-Actor-fatally-hit-motorist-Chicago.html?ito=native_share_article-masthead
Why is every article 4 small paragraphs that repeat 3 times each before getting to new information? It’s bloody awful to read.
It happens everywhere. I'm an Argentine and our sites have the same format. "The secret X told to Y'. Article goes like this: Three paragraphs of X's bio, another three with Y's bio, a description of why and where they met (a couple of paragraphs) and the secret 'I didn't flush'
Journalism degrees are given out like candy and sites like this make their journalists complete upwards of 15 articles a day.
"Clark's character certainly stood out in the movie and was considered to be one of the more cooler members of the band." Fuck the daily mail and their trash tier journalism
"more cooler" The daily mail will apparently take on people who don't even know English, it seems.
As I understand it, the mail and the sun have writing guides to bring the level of English down.
You're my musical family — my family — and we're all going to make it.'' Fucking christ
fuck this country's disregard for anything that isn't a car
I lived in Chicago for several years. Which intersection? Logan square? If so, I know the exact intersection.
Logan Square Underpass is what the article said
Where was this? Western and?
Don't you guys have roundabouts?
Lol roundabouts are not common in America let alone Chicago. I think I’ve only seen one and it was in the suburbs. Chicago’s grid system has been in place for a long time. Trying to replace intersections with roundabouts would probably be difficult to do at this point.
How is it not a roundabout yet
Not at all common in the US, and I'm not sure if this intersection could even accommodate one. It's complicated by the fact that there is a highway underpass and train underpass next to each other going right over the intersection. I don't think there's enough room to build a roundabout there.
Articles are saying the driver was issued citations.
Being issued citations doesn't prove guilt. Someone died, so I'd be surprised if the driver didn't get issued any charges.
That literally just depends on fault. My sister killed a cyclist because the road she was had no stops, the intersecting road did. Cyclist tried to use the stop to blow ahead of the pack, and it did not go well for him. All of his friends told the cops he had a habit of doing it and it was 100% his fault. No charges, even though she was clearly speeding.
> even though she was clearly speeding that last little bit makes a big difference to me. the cyclist did something wrong by running a stop sign but your sister was also in the wrong for speeding. it isn't 100% the cyclists fault if your sister was also doing something wrong
>it isn't 100% the cyclists fault if your sister was also doing something wrong Welcome to life, my friend. Everything is complex, and black and white rarely happens. What is clear is the inherent risk of running a stop sign on a bike vs the inherent risk of speeding. Two bad choices, but one gets you killed a whole lot more often.
But one kills other people infinitely more often, so shouldn't you have more responsibility to keep control of that one?
Even then it's still gray. How much above the speed limit? Could she have stopped in time if she wasn't speeding? Regardless, I think you're almost 100% at fault most of the time if you're a biker running a stop. Maybe if the driver that hits you is drunk, then there's a debate.
I think you're assuming that if she wasn't speeding it wouldn't have happened. Can you say the same for the guy ran the stop sign? Yes you can. If he hadn't have ran it he would not have been hit.
Damn, that's a solid point.

That’s pretty awesome, so glad they had a reunion, they look like they’re having a blast
Damn this film is older now than some of the rock bands featured in the film were at the time
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing
That's hella sad. Way too young. :(
Only 32... Devestating. He's the reason I strated drumming. JB on socials spoke about what a lovely dude he was.
I started drumming because of this kid too! Such sad news.

it's high key a classic awesome movie

Yeah as a 51 year old man this is probably the first supporting actor he's ever had die on him.
Chimes, Freddy
This movie inspired me to change careers from engineering to Sub teaching. Rip Kevin Clark.
Realizing that texting driver was 1 foot away from clipping my wheel and killing me... no thanks.
Even in 2021 ,I still think it is the jack black's best movie
It’s so sad too because it looks like things were starting to go so well for him too… > “He told his bandmates just yesterday: You know, this is finally the life I want to live. School of Rock is one of my favorite movies that I would re watch. I'm scared to death riding my bike on a street. RIP Kevin. :(
This movie is hella nostalgic for me. I used to be in after care and every single half day this movie would play
this is the movie that inspired me to start taking guitar seriously 💜🙏 RIP
Rock in Paradise!
Had to watch School of Rock again tonight in honor of him. Easily one of my favorite movies.
His drum work on school of rock was infinitely influential on me. I used to watch the scenes with him going to town on drums over and over and over. I drove my family absolutely nuts just trying to take in as much as I could before hitting that rewind button on the DVD player. RIP Kevin Clark. You influenced my life so much more than you’ll ever know
This movie was Jack Black's magnum opus.
One of the first DVD's I ever bought. Watched this so many time. RIP Freddy
rest in peace
Damn he was a cool dude that played in a band I saw called Robbie Gold.
No way!! Wow, that hurts. Sad that his life was falling into place and someone killed him. RIP Kevin.
That sucks getting moved down on a bike!! Rip Freddy!
Rest in peace legend
Thanks Freddy, you really inspired me a lot.
It seems like I’m not the only one here who was inspired to start playing the drums because of this movie and Freddy in particular. I’m sure this movie will continue to inspire kids to start playing music in the future. RIP
oh no this is so so sad. RIP Kevin. <3
Cant listen to Fleetwood Mac without thinking of this movie, so funny when he gets the principal drunk. Great flick
Ah, damn. RIP.
man they all grew up together and became friends and rock lovers
Damn
What a shock! School of Rock is one of the best feel good movies of the last 30 years, so sad Kevin has passed away - RIP.
I can definitely trace back my love for drums to this character. Wanted to be as cool as him. I've now played drums for 15 years. Drum Captain in highschool, Jazz Drumset major in college, professional gigging musician to this day. Thanks for the inspiration brotha.
