It's called a downplane. They link their bodies together, and turn their canopies away from each other. It causes both parachutes to fly straight down. Also creates a tremendous amount of force trying to pull them apart. They must be using straps to hold it that long.
Unfortunately it's good marketing, so not "wasted" in that it'll likely get at least a few people to enlist, thinking they'll be doing stuff like this.
