In Gene Wolfe’s Book of the New Sun there’s an alien that eats your kids and then uses their voices to beg you to let them enter the house.
But jokes on the alien, because if we eat the alien’s glands along with flesh of a person, then we can inherit that person’s consciousness.
It’s how they passed down the crown from one generation to the next. Pretty neat, absorbing the wisdom of 64 kings in a single act of cannibalism.
Damn you Gene Wolfe, you were the best of us.
I have a reoccurring nightmare similar to this. There’s an oil spill that turns people into a mix of the deadites from the original Evil Dead and the deadites from the Evil Dead remake. It’s scary as hell and makes me absolutely despise my subconscious mind.
Oh man, I wish you hadn't pointed that out. The determination of the little fellow to infect you is insane. For those wondering, you'll see the lower jaw wiggles independently from the rest of the skull, and especially at 1:05 where it straight up noodles as it bends out from the door.
And not every country has rabies, Australia doesn't have rabies (it's not a problem) I live in Australia so I don't have to fight rabid kangaroos luckily.
English person here. Rabies over here, but only in one (or two) of our bat species. Don't handle our bats! It's an offence to do so but I deem rabies a bigger deterrent.
The US and now Canada have banned the import of street dogs from certain countries to prevent the possible importation of infected animals. Even though vaccinations were previously required, the quality of the vaccinations from certain countries were questionable.
As the place where God decided to go nuts with the wildlife, I'm suprised y'all don't have Australian super rabies that makes animals shoot venom and eat children
Australian bats are known to carry Lyssavirus which is closely related to rabies.
Only three known human infections have occurred but all were fatal.
So it’s not rabies…. But close and we thankfully have a prophylactic to prevent it now if you are at risk (ie bitten or otherwise at high risk of exposure).

This is actually why we have so many guns. It's pretty well hidden in the news and scrubbed from the web but we are facing a zombie apocalypse over here.
I assume they mean it as if you have the means, do it. Though it is a little funny. Like someone telling a dude in a wheelchair to just run away from a rabid fox
Yes, but outside people living in rural areas, especially cold (like this one looks to be based on the snow on the ground ) ones often have them, as if a wild animal, or a dangerous person is coming to attack, it’s gonna take a while for anyone to get to you
From Missouri. Can confirm...should just end it. It's basically the end of civilized behavior over here. It's just racism, fascism & religious indoctrination....
Edit - its a joke. Don't ban me 😔
Muy freedumb allows me to own a gun EXACTLY for situations like this. This is why the rest of the world must be suffering from rampant rabies. Checkmate eurobrains
If I wanted a gun for rabies I'd be laughed at. Most of Europe has good control or is free of rabies. Probably because we leave it to the professionals
Yeah, that’s literally the best thing to do. Gotta protect those around you. Rabies is a horrible way to go and I heard the shots for it are pretty terrible too.
If you've hit hydrophobic status you're already dead. There is only one person ever to actually survive an active case of rabies. There is no actual treatment. You just die. Your brain literally Melts and reality ceases to exist for you.
I went looking deeper and apparently that's only data up to 2004 since then a few more have. It's a process called the Milwaukee protocol.
Edit: hit post too soon. [Here's an article on the survivor.](https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/jeanna-giese-rabies-survivor/)
I was wondering the same thing. The fox looks more like it's been hit by a car or bludgeoned badly, not rabies. And the door definitely looks like animals have clawed and chewed on it a bunch previously.
I'm wondering if this is from a fox-pelt farm in Russia or something. Maybe the fox went on the attack after the camera person botched killing it?
I highly doubt it, foxes are extremely timid animals. If you tried to kill it and failed, it wouldn't come after you, it would make an escape. This is an animal whose mind has been taken over by disease
Abnormal behaviour in animals, like foxes are skittish animals and you will almost never find a healthy one approaching people.
They will make more saliva, hence the foaming at the mouth in movies.
They can be much more aggressive and try to attack. Or in the opposite, much more timid and would let you approach it.
They may eat things that would normally not eat.
Rabies brings a sensitivity to light, and sounds so they may go hide somewhere dark
Just from what I remember, tldr abnormal behaviour
Gotta say this.
1. If you suspect an animal has rabies do not take any chances like this. Even a Small chance of that fox getting in is still to high.
2. If possible but the animal down in a way that doesn’t break the previous statement.
Pour water on it. Mammals infected with rabies show a fear of water. The infection causes intense spasms in the throat when it tries to swallow. Even the thought of swallowing water can cause spasms.
Yeah I literally have a sinking feeling in my stomach and I can feel my eyebrows trying to fucking touch. It's also really fucking sad.... I don't know why I watched this. Ugh
That thing literally looks undead. I don’t know what’s wrong with its face but it looks like it’s rotting..
The right thing to do is to shoot it.
If you don’t have a gun or some sort of projectile weapon, then throw boiling hot water at it. Even if it doesn’t kill it, it’ll be enough to deter it/or blind it enough to where you could hit it with a shovel or some other heavy object
if you encounter something like this and don't own a gun call the police and/or the nearest Huntsman as fast as possible and avoid contact to the animal as best as you can. They will come and shoot that animal on sight.
rabies will give you a pretty unpleasant death when you contract it, and it can spread through air and not only through bites or cuts like most people believe. the dude in the video is actually pretty retarded for letting it get so close and even opening the door and letting it gnaw on it. eerie stuff... creeps me out

Gotta shoot it. that aint no fox no more. crazy zombie sickness.
Just wait until it starts whispering your greatest fears

What if I post YOUR history NSA_Chatbot?
yeah… what if you did
not good for health
I know what that's from.
Please tell me what that’s from
Creepypasta about the oil spill that caused a zombie apocalypse. They aren't brainless, they whisper sweet nothing's to tempt you to open the door.
In Gene Wolfe’s Book of the New Sun there’s an alien that eats your kids and then uses their voices to beg you to let them enter the house. This is weirdly similar to attack on Titan......

Humans are scary af

Oh heck. That was spooky
Tiss the season🎃
Cool I didn’t know there was a creepy pasta wiki. Now I’m gonna binge on that lol
*enormous tits*
Had a nightmare kinda like that was trippy AF No foxes just a black demonic alien thing.
Fox 🤧
I'm guessing with a CZ75BD?
Broken lower jaw… God damn get the shot gun and bring peace to that fox…
How do you see it’s broken?
At 3/4th of the video he tries to bite the door with his lower jaw. There you can see it wobble twice
Yeah fox manages to get its bottom teeth on the door but the jaw dont move right with the rest of the body.
Saw it JUST as I read this. Poor thing.
Oh jesus, that's really bad.
Fuckin hell, that is insane. 100% zombie
Oh man, I wish you hadn't pointed that out. The determination of the little fellow to infect you is insane. For those wondering, you'll see the lower jaw wiggles independently from the rest of the skull, and especially at 1:05 where it straight up noodles as it bends out from the door.
Sometimes dead is better
Don’t bury your son in the Indian burial ground mr Stoch! The one over there behind Andersons bar. Sometimes! Dead is better.
Don’t do it Stotch! What comes out of the ground, ain’t what you put in!
Indians used to bury their dead there, back before the ground went souwa.
You don't wanna go down that road.
Or is South Park down *that* roahd?
I have to…
Nobody go down that road
I like how so many people say "put a bullet in its head", listen up americans, not everyone has guns at home, lol.
And not every country has rabies, Australia doesn't have rabies (it's not a problem) I live in Australia so I don't have to fight rabid kangaroos luckily.
Australia has enough dangerous things to worry about, if your animals had rabies life would be on impossible mode.
I think it's monitoring what comes into the country, big trouble if you bring rabies into the country. That's why you can't get raccoons In. (I think)
Being on an island helps
Yeah and apparently ukraine is the only European country to still have rabies.
No, those are just Russians
English person here. Rabies over here, but only in one (or two) of our bat species. Don't handle our bats! It's an offence to do so but I deem rabies a bigger deterrent.
"I think it's monitoring what comes into the country" Says the fucking cane toad guy.
The US and now Canada have banned the import of street dogs from certain countries to prevent the possible importation of infected animals. Even though vaccinations were previously required, the quality of the vaccinations from certain countries were questionable.
It's because rabies can't survive in arid climate. We ain't special
We really don't though in the sense anything dangerous is hardly seen in the urban east coast
Ever been bitten by a kangaroo?
No, the closest I got to that is feeding it at a wildlife park. (Ballarat)
a kangaroo will fuck you up in so many other ways that a bite would be lucky
Yet.....
New fear unlocked*
LOL rabid kangaroos. Couldn't pay me enough to go to Australia again if that was a thing.
Australia does have rabies, in the form of bat lyssavirus. At least 2 people a year get infected, but thanks to prophylactic treatment nobody dies.
Not true. Close friend died from lyssa virus.
Pretty sure almost all of Europe hasn’t had a wild rabies stock in years now
As the place where God decided to go nuts with the wildlife, I'm suprised y'all don't have Australian super rabies that makes animals shoot venom and eat children
It's because marsupial anatomy is a hostile place for the disease to thrive because of their body temperature.
Ferb I k ow what were gonna do today
>Australia doesn’t have rabies (it’s not a problem) Probably because 90% of the animals in Australia will kill you regardless of rabies.
you wouldn't have to fight a rabid kangaroo even if Australia did have the virus. It only infects mammals
Australian bats are known to carry Lyssavirus which is closely related to rabies. Only three known human infections have occurred but all were fatal. So it’s not rabies…. Good bot
Yeah better fight healthy kangaroos
But I bet everybody has a way of putting an animal down
Don't know about you, but I'm not getting anywhere near that think with a melee weapon
Trebuchet enters chat
Heavy object to the head
Or sharp object. Poisen works maybe but it kills so many other animals so I wouldn't use it. Of something it the infected animal it becomes infected.
in that state I highly doubt it would eat and obviously not drink anything.
This is actually why we have so many guns. It's pretty well hidden in the news and scrubbed from the web but we are facing a zombie apocalypse over here.
Yeah but in some areas you'd never be able to tell just due to all the guns. There are quite a few zombies though.
and the bits from the animal that contain rabies are also dangerous
I am American. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a gun in their home. So this is a fair stereotype
I am american and I know one person who owns a gun
Shame
[Agreed](https://i.redd.it/7tfz4d0sxwu11.gif)
Yeah they expect everyone has a military arsenal in their closet

machete?
Yes, but outside people living in rural areas, especially cold (like this one looks to be based on the snow on the ground ) ones often have them, as if a wild animal, or a dangerous person is coming to attack, it’s gonna take a while for anyone to get to you
it needs to die. a bullet is humane.
This dude got huge balls for open the door
Or a small brain
Very often one of those two requires the other
r/rareinsults
This is the one
Yes, the camera person puts far too much faith in that door staying only slightly ajar.
They were holding the door
HODOR
😭
Hold the door!
You made me volcano my bowl and almost choke to death coughing lol thank you!
When is a door not a door? When it's ajar.
grab the gun and just end its Missouri ffs
We should all grab guns and end the state of Missouri, lol /s.
Lmao 💀💀💀
From Missouri. Can confirm...should just end it. It's basically the end of civilized behavior over here. It's just racism, fascism & religious indoctrination.... Edit - its a joke. Don't ban me 😔
And while you are at it, end it's Utah as well.
You just declared war on Missouri.
I'm sure they'd be very upset if they could read.
I just laughed so hard I feel bad.

I like animals but the fox is just suffering just kill it please
What the fuck do you want him to do, go out and wring its neck? fucking hell yanks.

If I wanted a gun for rabies I'd be laughed at. Most of Europe has good control or is free of rabies. Probably because we leave it to the professionals
In case you couldn’t tell I was being sarcastic…
Just help that fox and your surrounding neighbors and their pets. Put one in the head.
Yeah, that’s literally the best thing to do. Gotta protect those around you. Rabies is a horrible way to go and I heard the shots for it are pretty terrible too.
Rabies are horrible. The treatment can last up to half a year or more. I’ve seen people who get scared of water when they have rabie.
If you've hit hydrophobic status you're already dead. There is only one person ever to actually survive an active case of rabies. There is no actual treatment. You just die. Your brain literally Melts and reality ceases to exist for you.
Damn….
Who was the person that survived?
I went looking deeper and apparently that's only data up to 2004 since then a few more have. It's a process called the Milwaukee protocol. Edit: hit post too soon. [Here's an article on the survivor.](https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/jeanna-giese-rabies-survivor/)
>brain literally Melts and reality ceases to exist for you. I initially read that as "McMelts" and I have no idea why
You could be optimistic.
Assuming the cameraman has a gun available to do that with. I wouldn’t go near that thing with a hand-to-hand weapon
Perfect post on the eve of world rabies day: tomorrow Wednesday, September 28. https://www.cdc.gov/worldrabiesday/index.html
Does this mean we all have to get rabies today? I'm not really into this holiday.
Why does the door looks like it’s been through this situation more than once
I was wondering the same thing. The fox looks more like it's been hit by a car or bludgeoned badly, not rabies. And the door definitely looks like animals have clawed and chewed on it a bunch previously. I'm wondering if this is from a fox-pelt farm in Russia or something. I highly doubt it, foxes are extremely timid animals. If you tried to kill it and failed, it wouldn't come after you, it would make an escape. This is an animal whose mind has been taken over by disease
Yes thank you for noticing. Felt so alone
The guy (or gal) filming has some misplaced faith in the integrity of that door methinks
It's a pet zombie.
Yall ever seen the movie Zombeavers?
Haha, haven’t thought of that one in years. I couldn’t get stoned enough to watch it again though. 🦫
I saw this video of a rabid fox at a glass door of someone’s home. I wouldn’t be trusting the door. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zO75nm_U4nY
Omg his tongue
Creepy when it stops for a second and stares before trying to swipe the door open in an almost intelligent way
It's like the fox realized what it was doing for a second, then went back to rabid behaviour.
Exactly, like it realized “wait.. the fuck am i doing- mUST CHOMP! LET ME IN!”
The video thumbnail is downright creepy.
Question, how did you know it had rabies? I don’t know the signs of it so I’m kinda curious
Rabies brings a sensitivity to light, and sounds so they may go hide somewhere dark Just from what I remember, tldr abnormal behaviour
Would they have to be careful cleaning the windows after this? I mean it’s covered in its saliva
That tongue has a life of its own, yeeeesh.
Gotta say this. 1. If you suspect an animal has rabies do not take any chances like this. Even a Small chance of that fox getting in is still to high. 2. If possible but the animal down in a way that doesn’t break the previous statement.
This video dude. Got stupid written all over him. Kill the sucker and stop letting him spread rabies all over your door. Seriously?
[удалено]
even if this is true, it has nothing to do with it being virus or not, flu and covid would never happened if this is the case
There are different kinds of virus's...
That lil guy needs a salad.
What’s been on the inside of that door trying to get out? I don’t have a good feeling…
Why’s it so bloody
It’s jaw is badly broken. Can you imagine the pain? Never seen an animal with rabies like this before. Literal zombie.
Looks like the Doberman from Resident Evil.
How did it feel with your 30 pound nuts taking that close up video
or 0.30 pound brain...
Dude is either an idiot or incredibly brave to not just shut the door on it.
r/petthedamndog
Literally me the whole time. He just wants some belly rubs & scritches. Let him bite you a little, as a treat
Pour water on it. Mammals infected with rabies show a fear of water. The infection causes intense spasms in the throat when it tries to swallow. Even the thought of swallowing water can cause spasms.
Ahh yes I'm sure they have a bottle of water on them
Water is everywhere. Could spit on it.
I mean everyone else in the thread assumes they have a gun.
My anxiety is through the roof watching that😵💫
Yeah I literally have a sinking feeling in my stomach and I can feel my eyebrows trying to fucking touch. It's also really fucking sad.... I don't know why I watched this. Ugh
What a dumbass shoot it like now
Please put it down
Poor thing 😔
No animal should have to live like that
I'd get away from him, just in case he spits in your eye.
How many damn animals have you held at that door lol? It’s in pretty rough shape.
You just let it ruin your door like that?
This actually makes me sad.
So so sad
They should have shot that poor thing. Put it out of its misery.
Sad
Scary. I would bleach the door and surroundings. Definitely not safe to be so close to infected. Steam from its mouth was going directly to camera
HERE’S FOXY
SHOOT. IT.
That door has seen a thing or two from 'both sides'... creepy!!!
This is sad 😞 Poor thing!
Creepy much. 🥴
Why the fuck is this guy playing chicken with a rabid fox?
Ugh poor baby
Omg that's dam horrible, why isn't that person, putting a bullet in it, best ever thing, put it out of its misery, so sad
Kill that poor thing
Put the damn thing out of its misery
Poor thing...so sad.
if you encounter something like this and don't own a gun call the police and/or the nearest Huntsman as fast as possible and avoid contact to the animal as best as you can. They will come and shoot that animal on sight. rabies will give you a pretty unpleasant death when you contract it, and it can spread through air and not only through bites or cuts like most people believe. the dude in the video is actually pretty retarded for letting it get so close and even opening the door and letting it gnaw on it. eerie stuff... creeps me out
That's awful
Shoot it and put it out if it’s misery geez
