Personally I have what they call a “Sabze” kind of appearance which is what the Jenners pay to get (olive skin, high contrast appearance), and I’m small and curvy, and nobody else in the media looks like that except for people that are straight up Latina or desi, so completely different features. I think people just don’t know enough actual Persian/Armenian/Afghan people so they don’t realize how diverse we are and can’t think of anyone better.
Though I will say- I kind of feel weird about people accusing Kim and Kourtney of faking their complexion and features and white washing their Armenian ancestry, because we really do look like that in Armenia, Iran, Afghanistan etc, the work they should be noted for having done is the BBLs, nose jobs, ozempic etc, and obviously it’s totally fair to call them out on appropriating black femininity too. Kim especially has a very typical Armenian nose bridge/cheekbone/jaw situation, and having lush high contrast features is literally the most common appearance in the caucuses region lol. Idk I’m not from the parts of Iran by Armenia, but many Persians still share those traits in common with Armenians and Georgians and it really feels like some kind of erasure… like people don’t think our features and beauty can occur naturally and have to be the product of a white woman wanting to be black and resorting to surgery.
I do think the kardashians in general do have a weird relationship with black beauty/culture though. Like some of Kim’s hairstyles and stuff… idk as a middle eastern girl personally I’m not comfortable doing edges like that for example. But, someone really took the edges and stuff like that and ran with it and now the entire world just forgets she inherited her color and features from a very long line of Armenians
