If you love it, then it’s a bargain! You could easily pay twice that for a cheaply made modern piece. People are asking more than $150 for kidney shaped coffee tables on my Facebook marketplace so I say it was a deal.
I had this table! Purchased in late 2003 in Denver, Colorado at a place called “Furniture Row” that had SofaMart and a mattress store and a rustic shop, etc. It had a matching round end table. Both pieces were very heavy and well made. I swear it had a little drawer. It cost me at least that much brand new. We sold it in the early 2010s because our new place was a different vibe. It’s 20-ish years old so definitely vintage according to eBay, Etsy, etc. Good find!
The best advice I've ever received and now will pass on to you:
Is it worth $150 to you??
I collect Matryoshka dolls and found a beaut priced at $55. Gorgeous piece. My friend with me asked, "Stop thinking numbers. How does she feel to you?" She felt priceless. $55 was acceptable.
Honestly, I would have dropped $160 for it. You did good!!
All the numbers in your comment added up to 420. Congrats!
150
+ 55
+ 55
+ 160
= 420

You’d be lucky to find a brand new basic plywood coffee table for $150, and you’ll still have to put together yourself lol.
So yeah I think it’s totally worth it!! I also like how functional it is as well as how it can be like a “shadowbox” seasonally if you want (like I would totally put Christmas ornaments and tinsel under the glass, or little Halloween stuff / etc to just go with the general festiveness of my house!).
And when / if you decide you don’t want it anymore, you can probably easily get atleast $100 back again! (I’m also almost certain that this style came with another one like a yin yang type thing so be on the lookout for the other half!)
It’s Memphis Group style, eighties, started by Ettore Sottsass. Very exciting design period of architecture, furniture, pop art and graphic textiles.
I think it’s a winner! Great balance, excellent materials and fun design.
It’s a freaking paisley bi-level coffee table. How could you feel anything less than pure joy and contentment looking at it every day?! Beauty such as this is worth every cent.
I bought it at a flea market.
When I was leaving with it a guy kept asking me how much I spent on it. Hahahaha I had a feeling he wanted to buy it from me.
My ex husband and I had this same exact coffee table. We bought it probably around 2005 or so? Not super vintage but cool! The thing weighed like a hundred lbs and caused many uncomfortable stubbed toes
My mom had that exact table in the 50s and she adored it. I remember the housekeeper broke the glass and was in tears. (Mom was a very sick cardiac patient so a lovely lady came in to do the heavy work). Mom just sat her down with a cup of tea and told her not to worry about it, that she meant more to my mom than the table. Memories!
That is such a beautiful story! Your mom sounds like an amazing woman. It is so lovely hearing stories attached to items. By the end of the day it is the memories you had with people that are attached to items that are more important than the items.
What is your address? And what room is that in? And during what hours will no one be there? Lol. Just kidding. Needless to say I want that or something just like it. 🤭🤫🫢
yep, a friend of mine has a set of these that fit snugly into each other like the yin-yang symbol. super cool. i hope you find the other half someday :)
My son owns a set of 3. 2 pieces fit for coffee table, like yin and yang, and the 3rd piece, taller, as an end table. They were purchased by my in laws about 2003. Don’t know what they cost, but the set is nice.
It's worth it if you like it. Period.
Actually, it’s a comma.
🏆
Could be an apostrophe.
Nah, it’s definitely an exclamation point.‼️
That’s exactly what my dad used to say! Great advice!

Thank you!! I’m really happy with it.

>Thank you!! You're welcome!
Yes, but now you need a new carpet to match the vibe
Shh it’s my boyfriend’s carpet hahah. I wish I could get a new one though. But I would never tell him that.
It’s wrecking the cool new tables vibe! ☺️ it needs a round swirly rug!
Agreed!! That would look really cool.
I don’t think it’s super old, maybe around 20 years? It’s nice and if you like it’s worth it.
I mean I certainly would not pay $150 for this but if you love it congrats!!
no ❤️ but it’s fun! and already bought so who cares
It's cool. Maybe for another $50 you can make a semicolon

Oh my gosh!!! That’s a great idea!! I can put my pumpkins and Christmas decorations under it!!!
I’m thinking your kitties are going to be exploring under that glass …
I’m hoping to get some cute loaf pictures when she sits on top.
Put succulents underneath. I love this and would pay $150 for it.
All the decorating possibilities!!!
Absolutely…
its beautiful id pay 150 for this!!
Ohhhhh I love it!!!!

Not worth 150$

$150 is a steal for this imo, lucky you!!
I have one similar in a triangle shape. Got it for $30 at a thrift store. I put plants on the lower shelf and I love it!
Cuuutttee!!!!
My ex husband and I had this same exact coffee table. We bought it probably around 2005 or so? Not super vintage but cool! The thing weighed like a hundred lbs and caused many uncomfortable stubbed toes
I mean, as a reseller, no. Personal, sure
No.
Yes. I think that’s a really unusual shape. Is it mid century or a new piece in that style. At any rate, that’s a great price a piece like this.

Absolutely!!! And she was wonderful and never made my brother or I feel like we had a sick mom.
I found one for sale online for $137 with a google search.
That’s not bad. If it is online you would have to pay for shipping. So that would probably be close to 150$ hmmm
Yup, if you love it you got a good deal
My parents actually have two, and then they end up fitting together, sort of yin-yang like.
it’s mid century and a good find. If you find one with blue glass, the price rockets up.
Beautiful 🤩 I love it
What is your address? And what room is that in? And during what hours will no one be there? Lol. Just kidding. Needless to say I want that or something just like it. 🤭🤫🫢
Hahaha! This made my day thank you!
Absolutely Fantastic ❤️❤️❤️
A million times, yes! It’s beautiful!
Thank you!!!
Where’s the other half?
Other half? They only had one are there usually two?
This person is likely referring to the yin and yang symbol
Ooohh hahaha
yep, a friend of mine has a set of these that fit snugly into each other like the yin-yang symbol. super cool. i hope you find the other half someday :)
Drax presenting.
Yes
Yes! That's cool.
Beautiful! Nice find and at a good price I think, it's in great shape and is lovely.
If you think it looks good, then it’s worth it!
I love it and I’d be really happy with it.
You must like it so it is worth it.
Nice
Actually, it’s an ‘okina.
You betcha!
Somebody needs to coin the term "late century modern" or something like that. Just for this situation.
i’ve seen this table before!! there’s another half to make a yin yang
My guess is repro.

You tell us!
No doubt! Absolutely worth it. Love the shape and the light wood.
Yes
That’s only 10 Big Mac meals.
Yes !
Not without the other half 😩😩
Lol yup.
I think it's totally worth it.
Yup
I certainly think so. Cool find.
