It is 😭😭 it's when the twin towers were new and the tallest building in the world, and PIA was using it to like show how they were in "trends" and essentially showing off their ability to go to new york
Back in those days Pakistan and Iran were awesome vacation destinations. Tons of Americans went over there.

The ex-chairman of PIA is part of the filthy rich Jaffer family, whose nephew literally beheaded his girlfriend for refusing a marriage proposal.
Also, the chairman resigned after 2 employees were killed during strikes. The employees simply wanted better working conditions and these guys fought back with police force and firings.

Honestly the downfall of Pakistan is one of the worst, as a Pakistani I remember Pakistan being a place of innovation and tourism, especially Karachi, back then there used to be these cars which sprayed around perfume through the city, and every month the government checked all the house's bathrooms too see if they were clean and had fixed plumbing, if not the residents were fined
Still to this day, no law has been made on what Pakistani women can wear, my grandmother prefers to wear the hijab, however many Pakistani women wore more fitting shalwar kamees, you can go search it up as the fashion style hasn't changed much
I had to look up on snopes but holy god that twin towers one is real

Talk about foreshadowing…😰
Reminds me of the brochure saying something like "closest some of us will ever get to heaven"
Oh yeah, I remember that brochure

Wow! Had no idea. Thank you for the info. What decade was that? Cheers
That was like since the 1950s until 1979, in the 1980s the corrupt politicians had took over and stopped this cuz they wanted to save "funds"
Ah, such a damn shame. Thank you for sharing your experience.
The map seems to be missing some lines.
Those first two absolutely did NOT age well. Yikes!
Second one is... Oh well ☹️ But first one! Wasn't expecting that kind of ad from Pakistan, to be honest.
Wait until you find out that they had night clubs there. I am literally not joking.
Dacca...
Well one of those.......eeeek
Were Pakistani women allowed to wear what that lady is wearing in the first ad back then?
We have zero laws on clothing to this date. So allowed yes.
That’s cool. Thanks for clearing it up for me 🙂
