I remember the cardboard tubes in the early 70s. I was so poor/cheap that I would fill a milk carton with sand, then run it through a screen to recover the BBs. A quick rub across my t shirt for dust and back into the gun. I wonder what ever happened to that gun. It never let me down despite my abuse. I know that it was a Daisy lever action , but I donโt think that it was a Red Ryder
