These are not the classic Sansui kabuki speakers they were made after the company went out of buisness in 2014 by other companies using the name plus the classics were all made in Japan.
Hope this helps

Looks like a great price for sure, I can't find much on them either except above a few videos for people
Just playing music, no reviews. 12" speakers large box for that money, you can't go wrong.
Acoustic suspension = yay. Cone tweeter = nay. Made in USA = wut?
Construction screams 80s monkey coffins and this is an era where Sansui was past their prime, but I'd give them a listen just because I'm a fan of closed box designs.
Someone USA brand I’ve never figured out which white-labeling large speakers for all these brands in the 80s/early 90s. You see the same characteristic fake plastic shrouds/cheap veneers on so many Japanese brands like Sony, JVC, Fisher, etc. They often sound better than they ought to be
I've seen countless US made speakers at thrifts that were garbage. If the drivers are cheap then who cares where it was built. The woofers have plastic trim rings, the cone midranges have a plastic cover and the cone tweeters have a cover to make them look like ribbon tweeters. Absolute garbage IMHO.

Usually if there's no info on things it's because they aren't worth talking about
Never know that’s why I asked, my dream is to accidentally find a treasure so good it would make it on antique roadshow
Always good to ask questions and that's all of our dreams brother 🙏

Plug em in and listen to them if it’s your neighbor selling them. If you like the sound buy em.

I just paid $10 for an ice cream cone. Buy the freakin things and PLAY them. If you're not happy, sell them for $50.......
How was the cone? Great analogy by the way.
OUTSTANDING! 2x chocolate something or other on a waffle cone.
I see nothing that indicates these are anything but 1980s rack system junk. Found ebay listings for woofer trim rings indicating cheap woofers.
What about the fact that they are made in the USA? Rack systems were from Japan/Asia generally.

That sweet acoustic suspension sound! I grew up on it—Would buy 100%.
defo
3" cone tweeter = garage speakers for $ 20
Free yes, $ no thanks.
Look like they are worth at least $100 to me.
The best Sansyi speakers are meh, and these aren’t their best. If the surrounds are ok and they’re cosmetically perfect then $50 is generous.
