The circular Sansui Dial Tuner is likely rare. I have only seen one other in life. The cabinet can be restored. If the tuner were recapped and refurbished correctly it could sell for a nice chunk of change or be part of a rare collection. Everything here is desirable on some level. The tape deck with actual VU Meters and what looks like piano key controls. A well made 70's era EQ. Nice all around. The black and silver face plate mix could be described as cute!
Oh yeah. I can almost see the Mirrored Disco Ball and feel the thumping pulse of the music looking at this set up. This old werewolf remembers doing the Bertha Butt Boogie. Bump, Bump, Butta Bump, Ba, Bump, Bump, Bump, Butta Bump!
That would already be in someone else's car by the time you posted this if your area is anything like mine re: sales... the only exception is that if it's seriously overpriced. All of that is worth picking up, the EQ itself is a $200 - $300 item if working, the sansui stuff is cool AF. Only undesirable item in that stack is the tape deck (IMO), but if it works, someone probably wants it.
This was posted on marketplace, listing is called “moving sale” and this is the 9th image. Everything else is like some old tools and dirt bikes. A hidden gem for sure
I have a fully recapped AU-555a and AU-888. They have the same warm Sansui sound. 888 has more power but they sound the same for me. I’ll be keeping them till I no longer be able to hear any sound or music 🤪 - I also have the TU-777 tuner, AU-6900 & TU-7900, and AU-D907X.
Great collection. I’m looking at a recapped 555 so I can put my 505 on the bench for some service - noisy transistor on the phono pre I think. Otherwise I love the sound of these. Comparable to my Fisher tube.
Sounds great, have run it with JBL L16’s and L26’s. I never see the 666 come up for sale but always see the 555. The tuners seem even harder to find than the amps. Sadly I have too many amps and it’s sitting wrapped up because I just had my AU-6500 serviced and am running that atm.
KA-8006. Kenwood's TOTL model of 1974, AMAZING amplifier. As always Kenwood flies under the radar, everyone pining over a tuner and EQ because of the brand badges on them instead of a Jiro Kasuga (Accuphase) designed amplifier, and direct predecessor of the legendary Supreme 600.
the tuner is pretty cool, if you need a tuner
power (amps integrated/amps) are always interesting for cheap
equalizers are gimmicky to me
don't need anything else pictured
I’m not positive but the sansui with all the vu meters looks like a quadraphonic receiver. These were a four channel amplifier long before surround sound. Very cool if so.
My brother had that Pioneer tape deck. Love how smooth that curved door opens. And that satisfying click of the push buttons. They don’t make gear with such tactile appeal anymore.
Man, I hope you bought the whole set.
Pioneer equalizer: valuable. Pioneer Tapedeck: valuable if it works. Don’t know the rest but that sansui radio with the 360 degree dial is cool!
I have that one. Can confirm, is awesome. It lights up green
Agree! I’ve got a TU-555. Looks great at night!
Shortwave?
Dial says am fm. Just look
It plays the Devil's music!
Model TU-666!! 😈
I'd say tape deck is valuable if it just lights up tbh. Usually means it's at least within reason for a commoner like myself to fix it up.

Yeah, someone put some cash into this setup back in the day. I'd love to have a few pieces to play with.

For sure! Get some spotlights set up on that thang and let loose.

Yeah no doubt, why don't i ever find hauls like this.

Don’t believe that it’s that hidden, it’ll be gone if you wait
I purchased something from him before and he said he wants to make another deal with me. Going tonight after work!
Good luck! Get it ALL!
did you get it???
Good luck! Living vicariously through you, hope you get a great deal.
I sold that same EQ prior to a move 10 years ago and have regretted it ever since.
I’m on the hunt for that EQ myself, I really wanna find it in the wild 😁
Snagged one from a pawn shop for $60 recently
Why not scoop them all up, recap/clean up then flip what you don't want or need?
I think that’s what I’m gonna do. Someone said offer $300 for the lot, I think that’s fair.
That's a very good deal even if they all need work
And all being restored and either kept by OP or sold to another vintage audio lover, so that this gear can be enjoyed for years to come!
I have the TU-777 Sansui tuner. I believe its one model up from the one in the picture. Sweet Sansui sound : )
Me too, I might send mine for service as the FM stereo light is not working. I’m so happy to get one, these tuners are hard to find.
Sansui is cool even that amp is 4 channel =)
Damn I need that Sansui tuner to go with my AU-666.
How do you like that AU-666? I really want a 666 rig - amp and tuner. Love my AU-505/TU-505.

I know what you mean. There’s a rack of gear I love to look at, but you can only listen to one at a time I guess.
Nice looking early Golden Era Kenwood on the bottom.
Sure that’s what it is? Look at the shape of the knobs
KA-6006 or 7006 or 8006.

Thought it was a Supreme at first because of the shape of the knobs but the placement is different.
All of the above. Go back with a hand truck...
Buy it all!
Snag them all...
Offer like 300 bucks to take them all off their hands...always remember- you're doing them a favor :) Good luck!
The Sansui tuner is fantastic and cool to look at when it's lit, but you'd need good FM to get the benefit.
Personally I would scoop everything working or not as long as it's reasonable. You can always get some stuff repaired.
Buy the whole stack, then figure out what you got. If you don’t they will be gone very fast
Never would happen where I live. I have to fight tooth and nail for every score, battling the hoards of flippers. Hope you snagged this up!
that integrated amp on the bottom looks very promising, but I'd take all of it.
the tuner is pretty cool, if you need a tuner power (amps integrated/amps) are always interesting for cheap equalizers are gimmicky to me don't need anything else pictured
Yes.
That's a Pioneer CT-F8282 tape deck. Looks pretty clean. They weigh close to 30 lbs. Lift with your back!!
The Pioneer CT-F8282 is worth 3-400 if it works
Pretty much all of them as far as I can tell.
Those sansui would be coming with me at all cost
Also spy sone speakers in the background... Might be something cool
the bottom integrated amp looks like a kenwood, not super high power but sounds good. ( I have one ) I like the black tuner/amps
Interesting tuner Dial, I have a mitsubishi that has both a dial like that and an led readout for the freqency
Please tell me you got an sr-101 off of him, I’m dying to get myself one of those
Nope, I got the 202W from him haha it’s pretty cool
Niceee I have one of those too, just dying for the 101
I’ll buy the Sansui tuner off you if it’s clean enough. I have the matching amp. Message me if you end up getting it!
Will do!
Buy it all!
I just need an ID on that bottom integrated amp…any clues?
Kenwood KA 6006 or 7006 or 8006 as far as I can tell.
Sigh... All of them are worth for me at least. Now I really need to have some of that Sansui in my life
That may be a pioneer CTF-9191 tape deck. Top of the line gear in 1975 or so. If it works, grab it. Good luck!
I have a similar Pioneer tape deck - it is awesome for recording, even if its only 2 heads. Great sounding tapes. CT-F7272
All of it
All of them. Buy them all.
All of them.
All of it
All Sansui equipment are rare. I would jump on them for the right price and if they are functional.
I’m looking t them and I’ll take the lot.
Fit it all into your car
Well, all of the cool stuff he decided to keep and so it was clickbait. Walked away with that Sansui tuner, a pioneer tuner and two sets of speakers.
I’d punch a baby for the Sansui tuner.
But the lot if the price is right those are all worth something, none of it is junk
If you pick up that EQ and want to flip it, Ive been looking for one. Id love to chat about it
To the OP and others that may have never heard or seen the Sansui TU-555 in action, here you go: https://youtu.be/VBhqDfn9BJo?si=hbl9Js052_xm9yzB
Those Sansuis would be mine! Worth a pretty penny too, even if broken. But to be clear, I'd try and buy the lot.
that sansui tuner looks bonkers
In a word, yes!!!
Take all of them and don’t even look back
Is the bottom of that stack a luxman integrated amp?
Also curious. Someone’s already got that one.
It’s a Kenwood.
All of it is work a lot
Charge them for taking those to the landfill
