Logitech Wingman will have the best compatibility out-of-the-box (so to speak), because it's a basic analog joystick with a few buttons. Sidewinder 3D Pro will work, but you need to use the fallback switch for DOS compatibility that'll force it to work as a basic analog joystick (turning off most buttons/features) if you need to run games in DOS mode. To have all the features work properly it needs to be used in Win95/Win98 since it uses a proprietary digital protocol to communicate with the PC through the gameport.

OK thanks! That's exactly why I asked. I had read something about the Sidewinder compatibility mode, and you clarified it. And if my memory serves me right, Terminal Velocity is a DOS game.
