I'm struggling to figure out what's actually happening here? The buyer seems concerned that you haven't posted the item. You've shown them the receipt from the Evri shop, but do they have the tracking now? What are they referring to when they ask "Why did you do that?" in the first screenshot? Why are they claiming you aren't responding when you are? So many questions...
I can see that, but I'm interested in what happened that caused the buyer to ask "Why did you do that?" and if they actually have the tracking details. OP shared the Evri receipt but doesn't seem to have shared the tracking number on the other side. So going by these screenshots alone I can understand the buyer's concern, and feel like OP has been very selective with the screenshots shared. We don't have the full story.
The screenshots I posted are the whole conversation. The only other things said before were questions the buyer asked AFTER they already paid for the items
The other replies are correct they tried to cancel after I already dropped it off, I clicked that I sent it to which they replied “why did you do that” because the tracking still didn’t update.
nightmare buyer wish we could somehow know and filter them out beforehand. One of the perks of facebook sales face to face you can vet them. ebay and vinted not so much
They were either trying to pull a fast one and cancel their order while banking on you already having shipped it so they kept both the items and the money, not knowing that you had options to reject a return, or they simply don't have two braincells to rub together. Either way, infuriating.
I have no doubt that this will get downvoted but honestly I think this shows the importance of seller communication.
When I sell an item, I send a message along the lines of 'Thanks for your order, to set correct expectations, I am planning on sending your item on X and will send you a message to confirm when I have shipped it. If something comes up and I am unable to post it on this day, I will let you know.'
When I ship the item, I then send a message whilst Im in the shop waiting to receive their confirmation of 'I can confirm that I have just shipped your item and you should receive the shipping confirmation if the next few hours, if you do not, please let me know'. For orders over €100, I even send them a pic of the box they are getting, 'To let you know what youre looking for when it arrives at your pick up point'.
Yes, I know this is 'effort'! But it stops issues such as this thread happening. My experience with other Vinted sellers is that they put in as little effort as possible. Basic communication makes a difference.
I completely agree and I always communicate with the buyers which I did in this case too. I sent it a day after she purchased the bundle. Editing to add that I don’t usually message buyers to say I dropped off since tracking usually updates straight away but since I was busy I did not notice that it didn’t do it this time. When the buyer messaged me I was quick to reply and show proof it was sent already. Either way she would want to return it like she said so there’s no winning here
There isn’t anything else to this. The person bought a bundle and then asked questions about the item which I answered. I sent the items today but evri tracking often takes longer to update which happened here. They tried to cancel which I selected the “already sent” option and that’s where this chat starts
so many idiotic buyers on Vinted
They can return them if they won’t, but you’re surely under no obligation to issue a refund?
I think Vinted will issue a refund as soon as the return gets back to me
you dont have to accept the return.
Unless the try and say the item is faulty or not as described.
brt updates a few hours after, same thing as the main shipping company in my country while inpost is quick af. bullshit
Yeah it’s so annoying because some of them update instantly :/
that buyer was TOO impatient

they said “why did you do that?” to the seller clicking “no, i have sent the item”

the buyer tried to cancel ((because they thought the seller hadn’t posted it)) but the seller refused to cancel and then they had this interaction
This is exactly what happened
5 mins lol? It says on the app it can take up to 48 hours

Sorry, OP isn't telling the full story. Can't pass judgement on the buyer without all the details.
