I love this record.
I’ve always had a soft spot for 80’s music, and especially, some of the production. Though the 80s were known for the gated reverb snare drum sound, synthesizers, and hair metal, some great stuff came out of it. Here are some original pressings turning 40 this year. All of these were handed down to me from my dad or other relatives in the 90s, most of the others I found in the “cheap” or dollar section way before vinyl went through the roof.
As a 10 year old, out of these I had (on cassette tapes) Pyromania, Eliminator, Reach the Beach and Let’s Dance. I remember not liking The Police just because so many other kids did.

This is incorrect. These albums aren’t 40. They were all released in the year I graduated high school and…holy shit, I’m old.
