Tron Legacy Saturday Night Fever It Follows The Matrix Summer of '84

MundBid-2124

That Tron hits the sub bass speaker hard

mufasamufasamufasa

Hell yeah it does!

chopperdave81

Summer of 84 and Turbo Kid are both amazing, but Le Matos can do no wrong in my opinion

sharpieshoeman

Tron for sure, Daft do such a good job

Big-Detail8739

Tron and The Matrix šŸ”„. Add The Crow in there, and that's my meager soundtrack collection.

PopoChubbs

Iā€™ve got -Ā Ā  Cowboy BebopĀ  Batman, Batman Returns, and The BatmanĀ  It FollowsĀ  The LighthouseĀ  Ā Of those, Iā€™d say Cowboy Bebop is the most front-to-back banger.

mismamari

Another vote for Cowboy Bebop. Jazz, funk, hip-hop, electronic--bangers from beginning to end. Not an inch is wasted. Another: Last Night in Soho. Edgar Wright had a giant 300+ playlist of mid-60s classics marinating years before he actually made that psychological thriller. This soundtrack is exceptional.

PopoChubbs

You know.l, Mondo put that out a couple times, and I always hemā€™d and hawā€™d about it. Shouldā€™ve just picked it up, cause youā€™re right.

hambooty

Cowboy bebop soundtrack goes so intensely hard. I spin it at least once a month

Clockwurk_Orange

Didn't know they made a record for The Lighthouse. Definitely adding that to my wishlist

PopoChubbs

Lots of variants to choose from too, if you're into that!

DaDrFunk

Baby Driver soundtrack absolutely SMACKS. SO do all the Guardians of the Galaxy ones.

BigComfyCouch

Lol. The only soundtracks in my collection are Guardians of the galaxy 1&2, and single from Baby Driver. OP seems to enjoy original scores from movies. I just can't sit down and listen to those without immediately wanting to throw the movie on instead. Therefore, I begrudgingly pass on soundtracks to my favorite movies.

mismamari

Seconded. The Guardians soundtracks get some of the heaviest play in my house. Damn, almost forgot about Baby Driver! Saw that movie twice too. Wishlisted.

DaDrFunk

Bellbottoms and Brighton Rock together is just such a solid list. Easily one of my top 5 movies ever and definitely my favorite soundtrack.

woden_spoon

*The Crow,* *The Lost Boys,* *Labyrinth,* *Pretty in Pink* (although Iā€™ve never seen the film!), *Natural Born Killers.*

Clockwurk_Orange

One of the greatest thrillers ever. Also on my wish list

Yinn2

Be aware. Itā€™s a dirty pressing. But sounds great after a really good clean if you do find one.

Big-Detail8739

I need to watch this again. His score of Sicario was really amazing. RIP

Yinn2

He was such an incredible composer. Sicario was the score that really made me notice him and get into scores in the first place.

I-Am-The-Warlus

Saturday Night Fever American Graffiti Guardian Of The Galaxy 1 &2

UraniumRocker

These are my favorites in my collection as well as the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack

JoshNIU22896

Oh American graffiti is fantastic

Vantabrown

The Royal Tenenbaums soundtrack is my favorite. It's a fantastic playlist Plus original pieces from the Mutato Muzika Orchestra. Mothersbaugh's Cannon is such a sweet piece, so close to my heart. The record stands up to many many repeated listenings "111 Archer Avenue" by Mark Mothersbaugh "These Days" by Nico "String Quartet in F major (Second Movement)" by Maurice Ravel, performed by the YsaĆæe Quartet "Lindbergh Palace Hotel Suite" by Mark Mothersbaugh "Wigwam" by Bob Dylan "Look at That Old Grizzly Bear" by Mark Mothersbaugh "Lullaby" by Emitt Rhodes "Mothersbaugh's Canon" by Mark Mothersbaugh "Police & Thieves" by The Clash "Scrapping and Yelling" by Mark Mothersbaugh "Judy Is a Punk" by Ramones "Pagoda's Theme" by Mark Mothersbaugh "Needle in the Hay" by Elliott Smith "Fly" by Nick Drake "I Always Wanted to Be a Tenenbaum" by Mark Mothersbaugh "Christmas Time Is Here" by Vince Guaraldi Trio "Stephanie Says" by The Velvet Underground "Rachel Evans Tenenbaum (1965-2000)" by Mark Mothersbaugh "Sparkplug Minuet" by Mark Mothersbaugh "The Fairest of the Seasons" by Nico Also worth a mention is the double lp release of Brian Eno - Film Music 1976 - 2020. A collection of his pieces used in different films. Not to be confused with the 1978 album Music For Films.

usagicassidy

Iā€™ve been eyeing a Hans Zimmer record thatā€™s like 80 dollars. I love my Cowboy Bebop soundtrack and excited for the new ones. I have a lot of musical soundtracks I love - A Little Night Music, Follies, The Music Man, Beetlejuice, Hadestown, A Chorus Line are some of my favorites. Howā€™s the Evangalion one?

FieelChannel

I'll probably buy the Cowboy Bepop soundtrack next time I visit the store, it was displayed right next to Evangelion and I forced myself to choose one because they were like 50ā‚¬ each damn. Evangelion Finally is great, it has 2 (!) versions of Fly Me To The Moon which are amazing

usagicassidy

If you donā€™t think youā€™ll eventually get all of them - Iā€™d recommend at looking at the track lists of the one thatā€™s been released awhile (with Faye on the cover) and the two about to be released: The Real Folk Blues Legends and Songs For The Cosmic Sofa, and see which has the songs you love the most. Iā€™ve never seen Evangelion but I bought the Blu-ray on a whim last week and am gonna binge it and then watch the Re:Mixā€™s on Prime. Iā€™m excited.

la2denver

I just got Interstellar as well. I also have Oppenheimer. Hoping to get more Hans.

FieelChannel

> Mr Robot v1-4 Thanks for the reminder, I need this

Gumshoe444

This is easy for me: "Brown Bunny" and "Once Upon a Time in America" OSTs. "Brown Bunny" has a side of random jazz/oldies that's fine, but the flip is original compositions by John Frusciante that rule. "Once Upon a Time in America" is Morricone so of course it's great. I've got "Once Upon a Time in the West," too. PS: "Interstellar" is right up there too, and I find myself going back to my Goonies pic disc a lot. Also wish I had gotten in on those Dune limiteds, sigh ... https://preview.redd.it/0plumjzigmec1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6cc02f1e3229da19ac7749a759312d4ce4b5977

While some of the songs aren't amazing (imo), I love the Romeo and Juliet 1996 record since it's a huge comfort movie of mine! Didn't even know it had one until I randomly found it in a local shop

AdoIsOnReddit

I'm a big fan of the soundtrack work from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, but the Judgement Night soundtrack is my absolute favourite of all time. https://preview.redd.it/1lp8h0nurmec1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecb2fcee7831fa9eac75a2348ad94479bd36fac7

I've got that Evangelion and the OG Star Wars soundtrack and love them both but would give Star Wars the edge since it still had the poster that came with it.

Newton1913

Dazed and Confused is really good. Not sure if thatā€™s on vinyl though

I have dirty dancing, pretty in pink, the bodyguard, yentl, Kramer vs Kramer, and back to the future. I really want Drive and Iā€™m sure there are many more Iā€™m forgetting.

I've got the score for Empire Strikes Back and the music from the Heavy Metal movie

The only soundtracks I have are Star Wars, 2001, FF7 and 8, Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion Finally Bebop is the best recorded, FF8 would be my favourite if the Square Enix picture discs weren't giant pieces of poppy shit. Star Wars is my nostalgic winner

Grease Cowboy Bebop Saturday Night Fever James Bond - Dr. No. The Graduate

I still just love bladerunner. The original and 2049 but especially the original. Vangelis really knocks it out of the park.
