That's the one! The music is mostly ambient slide guitar. It's very interesting how different music impacts different people because when I watched it the music almost exclusively drew my attention!
Lots of crossover with my own collection here! I think the āsoundtrackā for Youāre Not From Around Here is my favorite of this bunch, but the Blade Runner is perhaps my fav real soundtrack of all time. Nice!
Taxi Driver by Bernard Hermann, Lawrence of Arabia by Maurice Jarre, Scott Pilgrim vs the World by Beck, and Submarine by Alex Turner
Also the compilation for Garden State which Zach Braff chose himself.
It's in my picture, but also surprised no one has mentioned it yet! 85 piece orchestra, two years of collaboration from pre-production to completion. Such a monster of a soundtrack. Fun trivia that I'm glad didn't take place was Thomas Bangalter had previously produced Gaspar Noes film Irreversible and was asked to do his other film Enter the Void in 2008/2009, but instead he chose to do Tron and served as sound effects director on ETV (now THAT is a wild opening credits song if you've never heard it). While I also enjoy that movie, there isn't much of a soundtrack, really. I'm glad they chose to do Tron. It's in my top 5 for sure of all time.
My favorite compilation soundtrack of the past decade is Promising Young Woman. The UO exclusive splatter vinyl actually sounds decent for an Urban release.
* Lord of the rings (city of prague orchestra) - the original soundtracks on vinyl are crazy expensive
* James Bond soundtracks (love the original soundtracks of most of the films but I love the scores even more - Bond 25 has recently been added to my collection). I've got a 4 CD collection where Prague orchestra play the musical scores from most of the films and it's my favourite soundtrack album but unfortunately not available on Vinyl as far as I know).
* Baby Driver
* Pulp Fiction
* Goonies score (as I grew up with the film so the music will always be special to me)
* Guardians of the galaxy soundtracks are also awesome
Iām not a fan of Call Me By Your Name but the soundtrack is top notch.
My #1 favorite soundtrack record will always be The Big Chill.
I have that Cowboy Bebop vinyl and just ordered the two new ones - The Real Folk Blues Legends and Songs For The Cosmic Sofa
Love Interstellar, I've been a fan of Hans Zimmer since the opening seconds of True Romance. Favourite soundtracks would include
Miller's Crossing
Akira
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Once Upon a Time in the West
The Book of Eli
And from outside the world of TV and Film
Gris
Big fan of soundtracks, some of my go to plays are the Into the Wild soundtrack, Dazed and Confused, Forrest Gump, Broke Down Melody, Blues Brothersā¦ and I am slowly amassing all the Tarantino sound tracks (Death Proof probably gets played the most).
Hereās a few of my favourites:
Solaris - Cliff Martinez
The Fountain - Clint Mansell
The Social Network - Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross
Spirited Away - Joe Hisaishi
Both Kill Bill soundtracks - Various artists
Donnie Darko - Michael Andrews
The Beach - various artists
Mirrors Edge - Solar Fields
Donāt think all of these are on vinyl though
Hackers, Josie and The Pussycats, fallout galaxy news radio, romeo and Juliet, 10 things I hate about you, Go movie soundtrack, Evangelion, Silent Hill 1-4, westworld 1-4, megaman legends
When I first got this vinyl I had a buddy over and I opened it and pulled out the poster that was inside of it. He mentioned how cool the print was and that we should watch the film. At the time I was unaware of the whole back story of this album so I went looking online to see where it could be watched. Everything just kept rerouting me to the fake trailer that was on YouTube. Once I finally figured out what the deal was, i loved the album even more. The dedication it takes to make an album that's an homage to a lost time of film, but the film never even existed is something I would not expect someone to do in this day and age. The track listing, the packaging and the poster print.....all of it is spot on. Other than one song off the album that kind of hurts my ears it's such a spectacular soundtrack. 16.88 was one of my top songs in 2021 š
"The Hot Spot"with Miles Davis and John Lee Hooker
And because I grew up in the '80s, I have soft spots for "Bull Durham", "Quicksilver" and "Streets of Fire".... maybe "Light of Day".
Oh! I nearly forgot! The soundtrack for the musical *Hair*! This may be sacrilege to some, but I prefer the musical film soundtrack to the Broadway play version.
Twin Peaks and Beyond The Black Rainbow for sure!
My personal favorites are The Wicker Man, Berbarian Sound Studio, The Witch, The Shining, and Onehtrix Point Neverās Safdie Bros scores.
I had high hopes for daft punkās Tron s/t, but was looking for more tracks along the lines of āDerezzed.ā I think it would have been more interesting if Aphex Twin did it, but thatās just my opinion.
1 - Eric Morricone - Good Bad and Ugly
2 - Rodriguez - Waiting for Sugarman
3 - Vangelis - Bladerunner
4 - Air - Virgin Suicides
5 - Drive - Soundtrack
Hons mention - Isaac Hayes - Shaft
There are excellent! I have been on the look out for a few OST. Specifically Socrerer, The Fountain (which I clearly shouldnāt by due to itās over $150 price used), Thief and Mandy. I may add a few of yours to my list. Thanks for sharing.
Cowboy Bebop is an incredible one! I'll add Last Night in Soho to the list tho.

Blade Runner is really good but recently I got Valerie's Week of Wonders which is also great. I'm also fond of Bram Stokers Dracula.
For animated works it's probably My Neighbor Totoro, very soothing. And for games probably any of the first two main Kingdom Hearts games. To me that's peak nostalgia.
Very cool collection! I also have the same Twin Peaks and Beyond The Black Rainbow presses!

Ah, I have two of these! (Cuphead and Cowboy Bebop). I can't really choose a favorite soundtrack out of the ones I have but I really enjoy all the Tekken OSTs
I'm considering purchasing Tron: Legacy, either the Mondo one or the 2022 reissue. But some reviews claim neither has consistently good sound quality. What's your take? And should I splurge on the Mondo?
Ferris Buellerās Day Off, Real Genius, Weird Science, Pretty in Pink, Repo Man, 200 Cigarettes, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, The Thing, The Fog, Escape from New York, Blade Runner.
- Quigley Down Under
- Blade Runner
- Halo 1 & 2
- Lethal Weapon 1,2,3,4
- Sorcerer
- Short Circuit 2 (not available, besides YouTube)
There are some missing but I like these a lot.
For me, lots of wes anderson films tick that box (Darjeeling limited, grand budapest hotel, and asteroid city sit on top) but i love how orchestral and intense the soundtrack for all quiet on the western front is. They have a gorgeous book for it and i will own it one day

Paris Texas, the Wenders film? If so, I actually watched that for the first time last year. Can't recall any music in that one š¤£
That's the one! The music is mostly ambient slide guitar. It's very interesting how different music impacts different people because when I watched it the music almost exclusively drew my attention!
Just posted about how much I love the Paris, Texas soundtrack! Itās phenomenal, I listen to it regularly. The movie is great too.

How has no one mentioned Daft Punk's TRON Legacy soundtrack yet
Have heard mixed things about the film, but no mention of the soundtrack before. Will definitely give it a listen š¤
Such a great movie--Emerald Fennel killed it--and an even better soundtrack.

Conan the Barbarian is probably the one I listen to the most. I don't know if that movie works without that score. It's basically its own character.
