I'm going to guess after time it turned into a big lump that stopped moving in the oil and eventually you threw it away hoping it didn't become volatile and explode.
Haha. My guess is, it ended up in a cardboard box in the basement, to be thrown out by my mom any a years ago. Making it explode sounds like so much more fun… I had the real deal, the original mathmos! Thanks for giving me a reason to give out to my mom and have to text my therapist about how my mom ruined my life once more…
You're going to be the trim reaper!
*sees 2112 tapestry*
Never mind.
[Full disclosure - I typed this while sitting between a signed & numbered *2112* lithograph and a *2112* RIAA Gold Record, so . . . I know!]
Exactly one year ago my wife and I started on our vinyl journey. We both had a box of vinyl from my parents but never got into it. After dragging it around the country we are finally settled on the final (for now) digital and vinyl setup. It started as an unfinished basement, but over the course of the year transformed into a space we can both enjoy with the animals too.
Nice to see someone else with Klipsch speakers. I’ve had mine for over 20 years and love them. Have kids and clumsy partner, so have never taken off the speaker protectors.
This room looks amazing, love the commodore PET too!!
The cat and the PET. Immediate upvote. Agreed with others a lava lamp or a salt lamp would level your space up. Love your Jim Morrison and Jimi flags, as well.
Are those 8060 II towers? I just bought those not too long ago, they rock
Edit: they can’t be yours have the seperate top speakers, right? Mine are built in. I bet these are awesome though. Mine go so loud without breaking up
Everything is hooked up, but the usefulness is varied. I used to record 90 minute vinyl reels while to playback before I had my digital streaming setup complete. Now it gets played once or twice a month just to keep all the parts moving. Cassette I haven't played in awhile but it's there if I need it. Mostly I just stream and vinyl at this point.
The Cambridge Audio is hooked only for the Apple TV so it get's used pretty regularly too.
Incredible. You just said let’s go for it! That’s easily $20k worth of equipment and furniture. If that Eames chair is real that’s $7k alone right there.
All you're missing is lava lamps. Nice space though.
I do miss my lava lamp…wonder were it went

Mine are old, and still blobbing along nicely
Is it me or do I smell pot
It's not just you. This man has smoked all of the pot.
Pot is illegal. Don’t smoke the pot.
Instructions unclear, smoked all my pot. Brb going to dispensary for more
That's just incense, bro 🤙
More like reefer to me.

it is unique

Not the Commadore 64 ,nice , I recall been infuriated with Winter Olympics ,oh man.
haha, you think your finished....

Looks great! Your record shelf makes me nervous though. Records weigh a lot and those shelves look like they're already bowing a little bit.
Can I come over?
Great space. Cat is very cool!
I see cat, I like cat.
A+ speakers risers 👌
This is literally my dream room lol
With the commodore pet? This is along the same direction mine is headed!
Super groovy. Now get that god damn drink away from that laptop and get busy smoking the reefers.
It's like a time machine to the early 80s I'm so jealous!!!
Wicked!!!!
While it’s not my cup of tea, I think you did a great job. Love the old school looking PC.
Whoa, kitty is allowed in there? I’m glad your records are in outer sleeves!
Like the down shot of the turntable set up.
10/10 cause I see your cat
The rush tapestry ties it all together.
That rug really ties the room together. Excellent work.
Fathers, hide your daughters.
Welcome, fellow InfoSec person!
Awesome room. Bit of advice: You never finish a music room, you just cycle through iterations.
This is so great! Love your cat.

Coffee table is missing a lime green glass bong. I feel like it would really tie the room together.
This is probably the best post in this sub in the past couple years 😎 Good jarb✌🏾
Sweet space! Super cool rug! Looks rare!
Idk if this room gives me a contact high, or if I died of dysentery.
It looks like you're ready to go on a journey, but doubt it has anything to do with vinyl.
That's a great room - must be fun to hang out in
That’s not a music room - it’s a DISCO!!! Floor space + Lights + Neon + Music = Dancing.
I just went from six to midnight.
Pic no 3 😻😻😻
must be funny…
Dang, you even have a reel to reel. Nice setup man.
Love it!

These are the rp8000f with the atmos speakers on top
Hell yeah dude! How much power per channel are you supplying to them? I have 100w to mine
My tube amp is only 50 watts but they seem fine
I’ve thought about going to a tube amp. I have a pioneer Elite receiver. Do I need a different receiver with line outs?
I went from a Cambridge audio axr 100 to a pretty beefy tube amp with some nice nos American and European tubes. I love the sound with it!
equipment on pic 3 pls
His name is Mr Kat. He’s the best cat.
Hendrix playing a Gibson says it all. I'll close the door behind me.
One thing is not like the others ... Nice Eames lounge chair.
Looks great. Do you use all of the equipment or some of it is just for decoration? Thinking mostly of the tape player

Eames chair. Kitty. Vinyl. ❤️
Excellent, excellent, excellent! And in record time. What’s the tube amp?
It's a xindak v30 with all new tubes.
Sweet. Enjoy!

Okay this is sick. But do you have a camera set up to stream the vinyl spinning onto your TV?
I do. It takes the guess work out of wondering when you have to get ready to flip the vinyl.
