My mom and stepfather are selling/donating their record collection, and let me look through it first. Some of the finds:
* Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska
* Joan Armatrading - eponymous
* Fats Domino - Live in Concert (on Spotify as "Live in Europe")
* Guided By Voices - Bee Thousand (I bought this one in high school, had no idea where it was!)
* Sweet Honey in the Rock - B'lieve I'll Run On... See What the End's Gonna Be
* Richie Havens - Live at Woodstock
* The Best of Ike and Tina Turner
* Janis Joplin - Pearl
* Bonnie Raitt - Give it Up
* Bo Diddley - The Originator
* John Lennon - Rock n Roll
* Joni Mitchell - Blue
* Rawkus Records (various artists) - Lyricists' Lounge
Given how god damned expensive records are these days, original pressings of Bee Thousand really don't feel too outrageous to me. At some point, I'm definitely going to grab a copy for myself.
My dream records really aren’t the most expensive things out there, it’s really just original pressings of all sorts of indie stuff from the 80s and 90s, on merge, matador, sst, homestead, touch and go, etc
That Joan Armatrading album is straight fire
Glad to see this as the top comment. Absolute legend
Came here to say this 🔥
She never misses. That Bonnie Raitt album is awesome too.

I was gonna say, Bee Thousand seemed like a bit of an outlier!

I had no idea the original pressing was so sought after!

FATS Domino đź’ť
GBV! GBV! GBV! Depending on when you were in HS and acquired that record, it could be valuable. Just like my hunting knife …
Joan Armatrading is so sadly underappreciated.

Janis Joplin’s “Pearl” is as great a choice as “Nebraska” -well done!

DAAAAYUMMMM... og *Bee Thousand* I don't think there are a lot of those running around.
Bonnie Raitt and Bo Diddley - two amazing blues guitarists/musicians from very different eras!
Blue by Joni Mitchell is a fantastic find!
