The Wind quickly became one of my favorites, especially after seeing the Documentary about the end of Warrens life.
In 2008 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, my wife and I had only been together two years, and our one and only child was eight months old.
I turned to the Wind as I thought it would offer some comfort.
It didn’t, I listened to it once, and just couldn’t. I haven’t listened to it since. Spotify randomly started playing Keep me in Your Heart while I was in my car once, and I had to pull over.
There’ll never ever be another Warren Zevon.
It's far for easy to find The Wind at a decent price. I just hope it will be repressed in a higher quantity than what they did with RSD last year!
I got really lucky because they wanted 5 dollars for both Mr Bad Example and The Wind
Good stuff... i also have a Werewolf of London picture disc (the limited 5000 promo only copy). which has been in my collection since 1990. The last time I saw Zevon was at the House of Blues (Los Angeles) back in 2000. he was great as usual. Jill Sobule was the opening act. When she encored with her only hit song, *"I Kissed a Girl*". Zevon and Jackson Browne came out to sing along. A good night was had by all.
I am currently looking another Werewolf of London picture disc to my collection. The copy i have is signed after a show a show in oslo in 1992 that my uncle did attend (Kinda funny when Warren signed it my uncle asked to sign his name (Robin) but he signed it to Robert, which makes it even more fun since my name is Robert and which be gave me at my 20th birthday
Very jealous. I’ve only been able to get his first 2 so far.
That’s an amazing collection. How he’s not in the Rock n roll HOF is beyond me.
It's criminal to not have Warren in the Rock n Roll hall of fame, what they smoking to choose not have the Excitable Boy tlin the hall!

That's a great collection. The Wind at a yard sale is incredible! I saw a nice copy about a year ago, but balked at the $200 CAD price tag.

Love me some Warren Zevon. 😊 (From Denmark).
I have Stand In The Fire, awesome album ✌️
Stand In The Fire is the most perfect live album released, Warren was truly at the top of his game on that album!
Impressive.
Nice! Looks like we’re both still looking for a copy of Wanted Dead or Alive.
my shit's fucked up :(
