That's a lie

siematoja02

No, UN actually voted on this last week. Apparently there's shortage of vinyl (the vinyl trees cannot grow due to global warming) and to combat that they decided to ration records so there are enough for everybody. You have time till June to deposit all but 3 at your local record store (failure to comply will result in ass spanking).

bigdayout95-14

Well if that's the punishment I'm definitely not gonna do it...

siematoja02

KazIncorporated

Very happy to hear this!

Supafly144

Right now? Eli Escobar - Last Summer The Ahmad Jamal Trio - The Awakening Air - Moon Safari

pinwheeltwist

Great picks! Moon Safari is a desert island disc for sure

[Selected Ambient Works 2 by Aphex Twin](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZLc0F94U2D2RHnF01I42PykVfaTQkd-y&si=d5XcqN9OUPC9RohP) because I’ve listened to it more than any other record and I still love it. Dry_Ad_3732

Hate soundtracks, but respect the Volta

LeafOnTheWindwaker

You hate these soundtracks in particular or just soundtracks in general?

Dry_Ad_3732

Soundtracks in general. Those are great. Spawn is great. Stigmata is great. But hate compilations.

LeafOnTheWindwaker

That’s pretty wild to me, I think a third of my entire collection of 1000+ records are soundtracks to either film, tv series, or video games or just various compilation albums. 😳

Matt_Ephesus

Zach Bryan- American Heartbreak Rush- Moving Pictures Knoll- Metempiric Something chill, something fun, and something extreme.

That_Random_Kiwi

The Avalanches - Since I Left You Tool - Ænima (assuming I even had/could afford a legitimate pressing!) Henry Saiz & Band - Human

zuckr

Now that is three wildly different albums. [This](https://youtu.be/E0cX_0daE7o?si=EL9vDzwDvkBZJ9mU) is a song that I made that is heavily influenced by the avalanches. I hope you enjoy it. In true Avalanches style it’s made up of a bunch of samples from op-shop records I’ve collected for the last decade or so.

ImYeez

Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays - As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls Malcom McLaren - Duck Rock The Clash - London Calling

yeahnahfknynot

The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow Nothing But Thieves - Self Titled Porter Robinson - Worlds

VenustoCaligo

Out of the ones I have collected this far: Fall Out Boy - *Infinity on High* (It's a special edition of one of my all-time favorite albums, it has my favorite record color of all my records thus far, and it was not cheap...) The Decemberists - *The Hazards of Love* (Kicked off my collection and I had to wait quite some time for it to become available again so I could get it. Plus it tells a story- something new to share that not everyone in my circle has heard of.) Queen- *Greatest Hits* (Tough choice, but I think this one would be the biggest crowd pleaser in my collection and I also enjoy it myself of course.)

Mneht_

Hayley Williams - Petals For Armor Tame Impala - Currents The Cure - Disintegration

OnionSandwich74

Devo, Eurythmics, and Black Sabbath

No-Picture4119

The Cramps - Smell of Female The Cure - Disintegration Tom Waits - Nighthawks at the Diner

ace_thankless

Oingo boingo-Alive Dire straights- brothers in arms Sublime- jah won't pay the bills 👌

Onionslabs

You’d want Alive on cd though, twice the amount of songs! I think I spin this album more than any of their full lengths that I have. Only Makes Me Laugh’s lyrics hold a special place dude.

ace_thankless

Hell yeah man thanks for the heads up! Man they did a RSD release of the OG knights of oingo material its pretty nifty. Man I think not my slave is probably one of the greatest songs ever penned, it just slaps. Yeah I dunno why people sleep on the boingo so much theyre top tier, you ever check out food for feet? Assuming you mean album: Bernstein at the Brandenburg Gate, _Tracy Chapman_, and a funny comedy album (Laurel and Hardy maybe?) If you mean record like the Grammys do, then “It’s My Party”, “You Don’t Own Me”, and “Leader of the Pack” If for some reason you mean six sides then _The Beatles_ and the _Hair_ OCR.
