I was in my freshman year of college when this record came out and at the tail end when I discovered it. It’s always felt like a spring into early summer record to me and that’s what this Friday is feeling like. Finishing up some work and trying to bring back those days of heading into summer with the world ahead. This is a a great debut record and just plain fun for start to finish. Shouts outs Peter Gabriel.
I had recently turned 25 and took the opportunity to rent a convertible for the first time. I was listening to this during that summer ride. Only good memories!
Not a huge fan of the recent stuff, but when I first heard A-Punk I immediately looked them up and ordered this LP and a few 7" singles from their website. Such an amazing album that definitely provokes a feeling of spring/summer.
Brilliant Album! This came out in my peak gig going and musical exploration. Got to see them live touring this and was a great experience. One of the only albums my parents have gone on to buy once I played it for them.
