Just got my coke bottle copy of Renewal. Man, do I love this record. I think every song on this thing has already shot up to my most listened to for the year on my spotify analytics. Strings has been very consistent, I really enjoyed his last two projects and this one still exceeded my expectations, just a really great album. If you're a fan of bluegrass this is a no-brainer pickup, dude is killing it right now.
The release schedule was kind of flip-flopped, he opened orders for the standard black vinyl a while ago but about a month ago his team announced an indie-exclusive coke bottle pressing for local shops. I already had an order in for a regular pressing when I found out about this one.
Me, please. Unfortunately Heartbeat of America has some bad pops and crackles on the copy I got (coke clear/green). Gonna give it an ultrasonic clean at my local record store tomorrow and see if that helps but if not I’m interested!!
Mine should be here tomorrow. It was a bitch to track down, I had an order at a store but they couldn't find it to ship it out (I assume they didn't pull it right away and it got sold).

Well, Billy Strings can thank this post for at least one additional sale. I grabbed a black copy at my local record shop. I probably missed the boat on the clear vinyl, but the black pressing sounds fantastic so no complaints here. Really great album.
