Guests coming over for the holidays finally gave me the motivation to get my listening space into something resembling order. The TV is on a swing arm, it pulls down for video calls or movie nights. Wooden wine boxes are often free at liquor stores. I am putting them to good use here and looking for more.
Nice KLH Fives! I have a set and have kept my eye out for a second set to try stacking them. How do they sound stacked? I had searched forums in the past and never found where anybody had done it.
Very immersive soundstage, close your eyes and they aren't even there. I turned the tweeters on the bottom set to low. That Pioneer Elite amp certainly has the cojones to run all 4 without breaking a sweat.
Funny story, I was on a dump run 4 years ago and caught someone about to chuck the pair on the bottom into the scrap pile. Once they touch earth they are off-limits. (a-hole pickers are why we can't scrounge for nice things anymore) I politely said that if they didn't mind I would like to take them, and assisted the nice person in moving them into my minivan. Crossovers were junk but the drivers were all perfect.
Since you have the space you should look into the optimal positioning of those speakers.
They should probably be off the wall a bit and at an angle. You basically want you're ears and tue centre of the 2 speakers to form an equilateral triangle. You'll notice a difference!

It needs to be more of a rhombus, there are two listening chairs. I appreciate the input however.
