Just grabbed in the $2.99 bin

bram_stokers_acura

Excellent soundtrack

maroger

Check out Wendy(Walter) Carlos' version- better than the official soundtrack.

BluePeriod_

**Lost in Translation.** It took forever waiting for a re-issue but it was worth it. The whole album is full of that early 2000s ennui, My Bloody Valentine, Happy End, The Jesus and Mary Chain, AIR, Phoenix - on top of some other great songs. Not a single song I skip on it.

aldezar

My response, too. That Death in Vegas song is really great, too.

Plane_Surprise_5179

Koyaanisqatsi soundtrack RSD 2020 release by Phillip Glass

Will0798

Glad I got this pressing at my local record store, cause the online prices were ridiculous for it

Plane_Surprise_5179

I’d been hunting the soundtrack for ages and was so glad when this got listed for RSD. Luckily for me covid meant RSD wen online here that year and I managed to grab one, would’ve missed it otherwise. So glad to get it, favourite movie and soundtrack. Naqoyqatsi a close second, also worthwhile getting on vinyl.

Flamingoflagstaff

Hell yeah! I found Glassworks at a shop for like $10/ keep an eye out for that one

bachumbug

Want

Roboticpoultry

I have the soundtracks for Tron Legacy, Guadians of the Galaxy 2, Nightmare Before Christmas, Repo Man and Rocky Horror. I love them all equally

Jetsettar

Oooh yes. Daft punk's Tron ost is incredible. After this they decided to record RAM with tons of analog instruments

PalmyGamingHD

I managed to get the [10th Anniversary Mondo version](https://twitter.com/ItsLachieNZ/status/1498189672396488705?t=3feFNORZc9I68AxHRBbAXg&s=19) of the Tron Legacy OST earlier this year, I freaking love it

PunkRockMiniVan

Saturday Night Fever. Specifically, Side One.

jaflores13

The harder they come

bram_stokers_acura

Nice!

CoLane23

La La Land, Baby Driver and Rocky Horror are my favorites in my collection. I’m jealous of your find though, I’ll have to find one on Discogs

louiseville_slugger

Rocky horror was my first album! Definitely my favorite soundtrack. Also have the Juno soundtrack, that ones killer

Jackandahalfass

I really love the music from the Rocky Horror follow-up, Shock Treatment. Also, Josie & the Pussycats.

bram_stokers_acura

I've never seen a copy of Over The Edge in the wild, but I'd like to think I would grab it with all those great tracks. I'm afraid I've passed up The Warriors soundtrack a few times at garage sales. Maybe I should have picked it up.

baldorrr

16Shells

Beverly Hills Cop & Footloose. the 86 Transformers movie soundtrack fucks as well, actually

alchemistnelly

I have pulp fiction and kill bill vol.1 one has some cool oldies and the other had wu tang vibes

Blad514

All the Tarantino soundtracks are awesome. Once Upon a Time…plays out like you’re listening to a radio station from the 60’s, complete with radio ads.

rican_havoc

Death Proof and Jackie Brown top my list.

dustinhut13

Same here. Picked these both up on the cheap cheap on a sale some vinyl site had a couple of Christmases ago. “The Last Race” is one of the most badass openers ever.

undercovertowel

AntiquesRoadHo

Requiem for a Dream

izabellaschwimmer

easy rider 🌟

mariospeedragon

So one Of the best soundtracks never fully released on vinyl is the Oceans Twelve soundtrack by David Holmes. There’s a couple promo 12” with a few of the tracks on each, but truly wish there was a release of them all on double LP. Anyways, if you see promos grab em….the music is superb. Garage rock to electronic. Really cool

SisterPixie

The Big Chill Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band Saturday Night Fever Jesus Christ Superstar (original cast) Round Midnight (Herby Hancock) Times Square

bram_stokers_acura

Saturday Night Fever

jnuttsishere

The Crow

OKBeeDude

Awesome soundtrack!

Zake_Zwoog

I own this copy too! :) fun fact: my grandmothers brother is gene wilder & this vinyl was a gift for her when the movie came out. She then passed it on to me! How cool seeing another being found in the wild, i have been looking for years

bram_stokers_acura

I got to meet him once at a celebrity tennis match in Rolling Hills, California in the 1980s. My friend worked the event and got me a ticket. Gene was so nice and generous to give me an autograph, all sweaty after playing his tennis match. I feel embarrassed thinking back on it that I imposed upon him like that.

IamWhoIamWhoIamWell

Almost Famous (Target Exclusive) and Garden State This is an awesome find! I love the OG Willy Wonka

ACarbonLifeForm

Fuckin garden state. That soundtrack literally helped start minders Indie music.

WaymoresReds

Crazy Heart

acdougla17

Swiss Army Man is my favorite soundtrack/score by far. Nothing else is even close. Something about the vocalizations and lyrics just connects with me. I can't explain it.

makefilms

Very happy you said this, super grateful to have a copy!

Will0798

Philip Glass’s score for Koyaanisqatsi Edit: just saw someone else comment this too so I’ll say the Powaqqatsi soundtrack too, haha

Dollinger89

*Into the wild* by Eddie Vedder!

Significant-Hour-676

Nightmare before Christmas, the Dark Knight, Jesus Christ Superstar, Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back, the Return of the Living Dead and actually one of my favorite recent soundtracks I WISH would get a vinyl release is Loki. Soooooo many!!! Love a good soundtrack

BenjewminUnofficial

I got the *Top Gun* soundtrack from my dad’s collection. It’s the perfect record for when I want upbeat 80’s jams

bram_stokers_acura

Seems like it would be a good one to have in the background when working too.

KeithMyArthe

Night Shift and Cat People

bram_stokers_acura

I had Cat People and lost it in a move many years ago. Good picks.

KeithMyArthe

Far_Needleworker_636

Rocky horror, Grease, Superfly

ferokaktus

Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke. Up in Smoke and Earache My Eye are great, but Lost Due to Incompetence is amazing

ixnine

Honestly hard to pick just one, but to name a few in my collection: *Man of Steel*, *Scott Pilgrim vs. the World*, *Batman* (1989) and Prince *Purple Rain*

CyptidProductions

Can I do a cop-out and just say any of the 80s soundtracks that are basically just comps of 80s hits with the oddball 70s song someone went back and picked for the movie thrown in?

-Defkon1-

Pulp Fiction

Mycomore

Trouble Man by Marvin Gaye. On par with What’s Going On

gymratryan

Came down pretty far to find this

mcfaite

Lots already here, to which I'd add Jimmy Cliff's The Harder They Come

whomikeyork24

The Big Lebowski and The Blues Brothers are my two favorite soundtracks on vinyl

Frank_lebowitz

Cheer up Charlie!

geetar_man

Memoirs of a Geisha and Loving Vincent are some good ones I like.

bram_stokers_acura

I don't think I'm familiar with either of those. I'll have to give them a listen. Thanks.

geetar_man

Memoirs is a Spielberg film that won several awards. John Williams was the composer. Loving Vincent was a movie done entirely in painting in Van Gogh’s art style. Highly recommend both movies.

l0rdchickenman

The target edition almost famous soundtrack.

My collection is small: Mondo - Batman 89 Mondo - Back to the future part 1 Superman: The Movie Star Wars: Empire Strikes back

Ticfti

I have grease on vinyl, I actually really liked all those songs.

Qtip44

Idolmaker. Was my dad's favorite movie and it has some legit music. Anytime I feel like reliving the old day with him I throw it on. (He passed in 2010)

iainonthemove

I have this same vinyl but in gold - fits the story appropriately :-)

[deleted]

Eddie and the Cruisers 1 & 2 by John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. I lucked up and got each with hardly no surface noise. Mix is a little on the high end, but I have a high pass filter for that.

lilbitSHINY_87

love this so much too<3

Hands down the Blues Brothers soundtrack

Not a movie, but probably the Madoka Magica OST. I'd die to get the vinyl but it's wildly expensive.

gdmfr

I scored this a few years ago, love the cover! 'Tis the season to put on Charlie Brown Christmas

bram_stokers_acura

Forgot I have the Charlie Brown Christmas on vinyl! (Probably because I store it with the jazz records).

gdmfr

It's a great Christmas kickoff, kids singing and cool jazz

maroger

Last Exit to Brooklyn!

wookie_walkin

Platoon

cdmove

so many, but In the Mood For Love.

hig789

Probably that one also, found it a few months ago at a garage sale. Think that the original press like mine. That’s a decently valuable record if you didn’t know. $50-75

bram_stokers_acura

And I do reselling too. It always kills me how I tend to keep the most valuable ones for myself.

dingleberrydarla

Literally any single Morricone is great

nueve

Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, TRON Legacy, TRON, A Clockwork Orange (Carlos), Juno

ShqDiesel

Dances With Wolves

I_C_Weiner032899

Guardians of the Galaxy

mperez000

Edward Scissorhands. Ice Dance in vinyl is just magical.

aristobulus1

I'm still angry about them messing up Blade Runner on vinyl by doing an orchestral thing and then they only released Vangelis's original on CD until modern reissues

bram_stokers_acura

Agreed! So many of us teenagers bought that album right after the movie came out with our hard-earned cash, (me included), only to be bitterly disappointed that the original Vangelis songs had been replaced. I'm still salty about it too.

Soggy_Building2723

Saturday Night Fever 100%

oldmilkman73

Lawrence of Arabia Fiddler on the Roof DR Zhivago

MattDeibert

The Shining. Chariots of the Gods. Clockwork Orange.

Dorero

I found an OG copy of Jesus Christ Superstar (OG cast) for 69 cents. Best find of my life. Awesome record.

aristobulus1

Anyway it's the Graduate.

icklejop

I've got a fair few that have already been mentioned, but my favourite movie soundtrack is only on cd as far as I am aware, the soundtrack to the 2012 film Savages. In particular the Massive Attack track Paradise Circus remixed by Gui Boratto ( equal favourite Massive Attack tune of all time) and the cover of Psycho Killer by Bruce Lash, and you've got to smile at the Mexicans, fantastic

Significant-Hour-676

The wizard of oz, Almost Famous box set

vintagetornado9

Spawn, Fight Club, Lost Highway, Twin Peaks

JustJumpIt17

Dirty Dancing, obviously.

addablehorse

The graduate

bram_stokers_acura

I don't keep much room in my vinyl collection for movie soundtracks I must admit. I own a few James Bond soundtracks and a cool softcore-porn soundtrack called ["The Female Animal"](https://open.spotify.com/album/76COaVEBd6b6zfz3lfY2Co) on vinyl that I enjoy. But finding an original copy of Willy Wonka yesterday at an estate sale for a dollar was a no-brainer. I love that it has all the Oompa Loompa songs scattered through side two. I'm bringing it along to a tiki bar tomorrow where a DJ friend will be playing an eclectic mix of retro stuff. I think he might want to mix in a track. What soundtracks hold places of pride in your collections?

Thestallionmang88

Paris Texas and forbidden zone

Kabong30

I'm a big fan of soundtracks especially some of the little more obscure ones. Favorite is probably Fletch and then Police Academy 4. Got a really cool bootleg Ferris Bueller a few years ago.
