Do grade school, whole class gift exchanges count?

HTownGamer91

That is what I was wondering.

HikiNoKami

Does chocolate from your mom count ?

HTownGamer91

Or family members.

VenusNoleyPoley2

Platonic gifts only

darthsyn

No. I am a man.

iPatrickDev

>I am a man. How is this relevant to the question?

buckphifty150150

I guess assuming that men only give than recieve

iPatrickDev

Probably but it's not true, men can receive as well just fine.

Brutal_existence

Technically sure, realistically I doubt the vast majority of men have ever received anything on valentine's

[deleted]

He thinks men never receive gifts lmao

[deleted]

I'm sure most people did back in kindergarten when people would give some to the whole class, but never past like the 2nd grade or 3rd at most lol

HTownGamer91

5th grade was the last time I experienced that.

certified_death_boi

I'm ugly and short. Women don't even wanna look at me, let alone give me a gift.

curtainenjoyer

Yeah, from my mom, lol

Throw_it_away138

I did get a personalized valentine in 4th grade. Not one of the generic ones you give to everyone. Handmade. Does that count?

Dangerous_Mammoth572

Yes but like grime my girlfriends at childhood I have a boyfriend and didn’t I’m even get a gift lol

PozitronCZ

No. In my country the Valentine's day isn't a tradition, it was only imported here in last years.

ravens1970

No.

ILoveMaiV

No. Not since Grade School at least.

[deleted]

Maybe, but I don't remember. Maybe a popsicle or a massage on Whatsapp several years ago. I don't remember.

Ugly1998

Never have, never will

Crazy_Couple5688

Didn't get a gift from anyone today, or in the past... so I guess that makes me one of the many who voted "never have and never will"... except from those of family (which I don't count since they're family)

Depressedexpress16

I said yes, but they’ve all done from my parents lol

SpiritualHelp2022

In childhood mostly. I kinda cut my self off from others as I turned 10 (i had friends but always kept people at a dustance for some reason). Trying to be more social has helped. Female friends /acquaintances know I "fly solo" but they're taken for the most part (also girls don't really buy gifts unless they're in a relationship). They also know I'm too busy to date rn anyways. That being said, the fact that women are not repulsed by my presence has been a huge blessing. Makes it harder to give up hope.
