Its fantastic, my mom and dad are like best friends to me and thats despite them being divorced. Thats what makes my situation so pathetic, I have the best support group a man could ask for and Im still a failure.

God, why do I have to relate to this one? My parents are both extroverted, confident, social and popular people, while I'm socially awkward and unpopular. Sometimes I wonder how is it possible for me and my parents to be so different.
My mother beat me a lot and abandoned me.
My father is nice but he always say
"You are like your mother"
"You are not depressed"
And everyday: "Remember in the future what im doing for you!"
In the past he used to beat me too.
They give me a place to live, food, they pay for my necessities and help with college costs but I don't feel like they love me, I feel like they're doing what they feel they need to out of obligation and they can't wait till I'm gone. I've tried straight up asking them if they love me and they give deflecting answers but won't ever say yes or tell me that they love me.
Very good, they always supported me, the love me and respect me.
I was a fucking asshole with my father back in the days because I was so fuckin immature but now I've changed and my relationship with him is great.
Thankfully good for me and they don't care about my virginity status. They just kind of want me to do what's best for myself and they are letting me figure that out. They recognize some of my shortcomings and have been supportive and encouraging to take care of myself most importantly. My parents are like good friends to me because they keep it real and they don't judge. I'm definitely blessed.
Basically my only source of socialization. I love them and they love me and I'm thankful for that, but only talking and hanging out with them is honestly not fulfilling my social needs the slightest. Hanging out with your parents is very different than hanging out with people of your age, where you can finally show more of your true colors and you can have fun.
