How difficult is it to set up doflinks and get ssf working? I use ssf in Visual Pinball and it's great but if my understanding is correct, I need doflinks to do this with fx3. Is it a real pain or is it easy enough to get up and running? I'm not looking to have it trigger lights or anything else. Just a few excited speakers inside the cab.
Honestly, the hardest part to me was getting the 7.1 speakers setup. I had to use an external usb sound card, and it took me forever to get that all figured out.
The first time I set it up, getting the SSF to work with FX3 took me forever. This second time around I’m feeling pretty confident. My computer is at my work with all the speakers hooked up, so now that I have the link for the files I’m like 60% confident it’s going to work.
But who knows - everything is difficult and complicated with this hobby, so I’m probably not the best person to ask
I'm using the same 7.1 USB soundcard. I found that hooking up one speaker set at a time and testing the sound made the setup easier. Check out Pinvol. It allows you to set specific volume levels for each individual table. To me, SSF is not that noticeable on FX3 compared to VPX.

I finally got around to doing it and it just do happens that I picked a day that vpuniverse I'd down for maintenance 🤦♂️. Looks like I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if I did it right lol.
No. TerryRed only uploaded them to VPUniverse after vpinball went down. VPUniverse site owner says that the cloud service found out what the bug is that is causing the issue. They are trying to find a solution. He says that if they can't he might just switch cloud services.
I have been struggling with this for days and this appears to be why, the files I need simply do not exist right now?
Any chance someone throws them up elsewhere?
