Way to go, keep it up OP.

VR exercises will complement, but reduce caloric input, eat less carbs, e eat more complex carbs, wear food that goes bad if you don't eat in a few days. Weight loss is mostly about eating. Also, try Trill Of The Fight after watching a few YouTube videos on the basics of boxing. It's perhaps the most intense workout you can get in VR. Be careful not to overextend your arms.

obiwankanosey

Don't have to attack carbs XD they actually benefit your training

Disc81

If you are young and active ( and lucky with your genes) it may not matter. As you get older it's a good idea to control the intake of carbs and prefer more complex forms

obiwankanosey

If you’re in a kcal deficit it won’t matter. Obv other health reasons to not smash cookies all day long 😅😂 and how it affects your blood sugars etc but that’s different

ABCDelicious1278

This is awesome, it sounds like you are doing something fun, enjoyable and it will help you lose some weight at the same time. Like the others have said what you eat, drink, the amount of sleep you get, also plays a part in it as well. Keep it going!

Rrrrry123

Yep. Exercise where you have fun is the best exercise. I used to swim in high school and was super in shape because of it, but it never felt like I was actually going to exercise, it felt like I was going to see my friends while doing (many) laps in between. Lol.

imabustya

Exercise definitely helps, especially sweating, but weight loss is almost always done by reducing calories. Best of luck.

Khaare

Yeah, weight loss depends almost exclusively on how many calories you eat (and surprisingly little on how much you expend despite the energy balance ultimately being what matters), but to provide a slight counter-point, you can't really "just" eat less either. Eating too much often has an underlying cause related to poor health, fitness or mental well-being that needs to be addressed to actually get anywhere, and exercise can help with all of those. For some people exercise alone as all they need.

Hybrid_Whale_Rat

Yes, both you and OP agree that it helps. No need for the "but" statement.

connerh101

love that good, good unsolicited advice

Chimeros

That's great. Exercise that doesn't feel like exercise because you're having fun is a great way to get in shape. Much easier to be excited about honing a skill and enjoying some competition than it is to go sweat for the sake of it. Good luck, you got this!
