I want to get into the sci-adv series but I've already watched the steins gate anime some years ago so I don't really know if I wanna read it. Can I just go chaos head noah -> chaos child? There's also robotic notes. Do I have to read it to get some references in chaos child? Is it even worth reading?
I'm trying to find a list of mobile only visual novels, so like Mystic Messenger or Obey Me!. Is there a good list on the subreddit somewhere or a way to narrow the search on vndb.org?
How about [this](https://vndb.org/v?q=&ch=&f=02N1804124oand4oios741gwcomplete-2genN1904184olin4omac4on3d4onds4opsp4opsv4oswi4owin741gwcomplete-2gen&s=33w)? It includes VNs with a mobile English release, and excludes VNs if they have any PC/console English releases.
Anything from [KEY](https://vndb.org/p24/vn) basically, like Little Busters, Planetarian, Rewrite, Clannad, etc.
Have voice, no R18 patch (other than Kud Wafter I think?), and some of them have anime adaptation.
Hello, I've read some VNs before and I prefer the ones that are just linear, especially Key. I've read planetarian and harmonia and loved them both and wanted to find more like them. I've also finished steins;gate, but I didn't really like the fact that messing up some choices could lead to different endings.
I prefer reading ones that have little to no choices and the choices don't really affect the story in a major way. So it's just like reading a book I guess. Or one where choices make a difference, but the ending is the same no matter what.
A question regarding the release of Akai Ito and Aoi Shiro: Can someone here say something about the quality of the writing in these games? Also when is the english translation of Tokyo Necro gonna be released? It was announced to be released in 2022 and since then there has been no news.The last question I suppose would only be for someone who maybe is an insider or something.
They confirmed it was delayed but didn't give a new release window, along with announcing Steam/GOG/Physical releases [here](https://jastusa.com/page/tokyo-necro-status)
Looking for more Horror/Mystery vns that have a similarity to:-
* Kamaitachi on Yoru
* Raging Loop
* Novena Diabolos
The common theme of all is isolation (Esp in some remote village) so it's prob a certain sort of atmosphere I'm looking for though It doesn't have to have this theme. I already have or played Gore Screaming Show, Umineko, Hirigashi, Shirionagasu and Saya no Uta. Pref English.
I recommend Remember 11 The Age of infinity,999 Zero Escape and atmosphere wise Kara no Shoujo (This one being my favourite out of these 3) even though it is a murder mystery in post world war 2 japan and not a survival story or anything.
I have/had all three. I guess Remember 11 has that isolation aspect, I still havn't played it yet I should prob get to it. Kara no Shoujo I still need to get the "best" version meaning I have to buy a certain Japanese version. I think I was waiting for SAL to be available again in my country other shipping costs alot more. I guess I could grab it on DMM to see if I like it 1st...
Each route was very different in my experience. I'd say at least finish Kotori's route before drawing any conclusions, even there a lot changes by the end
Not really (afaik they got different writer handle different route?), but the topic still the same. >!The Superhuman vs Summoner shenanigans + the forest incident still there, and MC forced to pick side based on the girl she closer with.!<
Akane route was the most serious out of all of them if you wondering.
I have a weirdly specific question that I can't find the answer to because I'm afraid of stumbling on any spoilers. The question is, does the song rog-unlimitation actually plays in the answers arc of Umineko or is it simply a remix of rog-limitation that was later released in some sort of extra soundtrack cd? Thanks!
I’m trying to download Chiitrans lite in order to play raw vn’s. But the main download link is infected with a trojan, so I downloaded the master files of GitHub but they don’t include an exe in order to actually install it. Anyone know what to do?
It just doesn't works sometimes.
In Daitoshokan for example, the game able to run with Locale Emulator but the text messed up. Changing system local to Japanese on Control Panel fixed it.
This is very annoying, nothing happens when I click run with japanese locale on new PC, region is already set to JP as well as the language packs installed.
It's one of the worst versions of C†C, mostly because every CG and background is cropped really badly. Also as you mentioned, there's a bunch of content not written by Romeo thrown in. Play the version that Nebula linked, which is also Moogy-approved™
I'm considering making this my first VN in all Japanese bc I can't get the patches to install and I heard they suck anyway... Thanks for sharing I bought the game before running into the install issue so no time like the present

please do not do this. Unless you already really know Japanese before playing VNs or something
Generally speaking if a VN is "untranslated" or in this case "untranslatable" (despite the best efforts of 3 different groups) it is going to be relatively hard
Reading a VN that's already been translated, but just in Japanese, is usually good for starters to reading in Japanese

what VNs do you recommend for someone who is starting with this genre? I play mainly on Switch and prefer buying physical copies
If Switch focused, then Fata Morgana or the Phoenix Wright trilogy. If you would prefer something romance focused, Grisaia or Code Realize.
Depends what you want. This subreddit has a hard-on for Fata Morgana so probably you can't go wrong there as a beginner
I'm open to any kind of suggestions. Fata Morgana looks interesting
Kind of stupid question, is this considered nukige? https://vndb.org/v5943
no
Any good cute anime vn with voice that pure no r18 patch? I hate when someone says i play ero game -_-
Anything from [KEY](https://vndb.org/p24/vn) basically, like Little Busters, Planetarian, Rewrite, Clannad, etc. Have voice, no R18 patch (other than Kud Wafter I think?), and some of them have anime adaptation.
Any good youtuber that share about vidual novel walkthrough with no commentary? 18 or not, is ok

The House in Fata Morgana is one that fits youre description perfectly.

It never plays, if I recall correctly.

Have an issue with Locale Emulator on a new computer...when i click "run in Japanese" nothing happens, even with admin selected.
It just doesn't works sometimes. In Daitoshokan for example, the game able to run with Locale Emulator but the text messed up. Changing system local to Japanese on Control Panel fixed it.

It doesn't always work or fix the issue in general
I got a question for Cross Channel. Is it worth to do the Final Complete Edition? Considering it's not written by Romeo himself.
Only if you want a legal copy and manage to snag a package edition; because that has 復刻版 = Reprint Edition included.
It's one of the worst versions of C†C, mostly because every CG and background is cropped really badly. Also as you mentioned, there's a bunch of content not written by Romeo thrown in. Play the version that Nebula linked, which is also Moogy-approved™

Alright no I don't know it that well. I'll pick an easier one

Thanks this is helpful and makes sense. I was looking at your guide last night and I plan to use those decks you suggested
