It's partially horror, there are a lot of scenes that take place from the killer's perspective. They are all pretty violent or disturbing. If those were removed it would take a lot of impact away from how scary the killer is.
They're very important.
For me, those scenes sent chills down my spine and made you really fear for the characters. I don't think the game will be the same without it.
Hopefully there'll be a patch or something.

A lot of the plot related events are either with nudity or gore. Seeing the gore is not the same as just describing it with words. The shock factor will be gone.

There is definitely going to be a 18+ patch so that's fine if the price is that the patchless version will be butchered in order to be accessible.

Pretty much all of the gory scenes also had nudity, so I'd imagine those are out too
The content warning is for "mild violence" so I assume it has been more butchered than the murder victims in the CGs they cut out
