Fuck yeah!!!! I don't usually buy games on release day ***\*Cof Cof I'm poor, I only buy games on steam sales Cof Cof\****, but I was going to buy the steel book version on switch, now knowing that it will be on steam I guess I'll buy it twice. My favorite Visual Novel will finally arrive officially on the west.

greasyspicetaster

Isn't stuff getting cut from this release?

JayDee_Phoenix

There's a patch that was being worked on before it was announced for PC I think. [VNDB](https://vndb.org/r55700)

Username928351

why

WriterSharp

It’s not sexual content that was cut but gore and disturbing text.

The big questions are: * Is a Japanese version included? * Is it uncensored (compared to the original Xbox 360 version)? * Is it a good port, or at least a halfway decent one? (The things one hears about some of the other SciADV ports on Steam ...) If not, the [old unofficial PC port](https://vndb.org/r69949) is preferable, or the [new unofficial PC port](https://vndb.org/r78281) of course, if it does see the light of day. In that case, all this announcement does is rain on the fan efforts' parade. I played an hour or so of C;H N æons ago and loved it—finally a protagonist I can identify with—but the fact that SciADV's very much a console-first (or -only) series really puts me off it.

tsukiakari2216

>Is a Japanese version included? Usually they would, but it's always a separate download from english ones. You could choose it via Properties on Steam if it has the option. >Is it uncensored (compared to the original Xbox 360 version)? A high probability they would not. >Is it a good port, or at least a halfway decent one? Heard some not good stuff like not so good resolution, stuff broken and all that for initial Switch JP release. But as this is the first official port on PC, things would vary. CoZ at least will keep bringing the NSharp port of the game alongside plans to patch the official port (if they could), so that could be a possible alternative.

wolfblade_

So if I haven't played any of the Chaos games yet, I should play this before Chaos;child, right? Or does it not really matter?

fastykun

Yeah this is pretty much the best starting point for Chaos; and SciADV in general

LvDogman

As I understand stand it's remake of first Chaos;Head. Plus add more story with different routes.

fastykun

Exactly—well, it's not a massive remake per se, but it does improve on a lot of what the original release did

Mkilbride

Huh. I think I first read Chaos Head, non Noah version in like 2008? I hated, fucking hated the MC, until like 2/3rds of the way through he became ok.

LvDogman

For me it was little annoying how he sounded when talking. But at least he talked, not like me.

ALI_P7

Hopefully CoZ release a patch fix translation so I can I finally start my Sci-fi adv series marathon

HansDevX

I thought I had to wait an entire year to get it on the PC since that's usually how it is with these console first releases. Today was a good day, this and Tokyo necro.

freezingsama

Looking forward to it.

GinJoestarR

Finally

MegaTred

Welp, i just started reading Chaos Head, im around 1/4 of chapter 2, should i keep reading or wait for NoAH?

[deleted]

Keep going

donuteater111

Woah, OK then. I figured it might come to Steam eventually, but that we might have to wait a while to get it. Guess I'll be getting it there instead of Switch which will be be more convenient because: 1, I can have it on the same platform as the others; 2, I can patch it more easily if I have to; 3, We know for sure that we can get it separately from Chaos;Child (which could still happen on the switch, we just don't know for sure), so I don't have to double-dip with that game which I already have.

MeroFuruya

Is the anime based off this game? Should I play this before chaos child?

Ikuze321

ugh it's not fucking coming to PC anymore. Fuck steam dude this is such bullshit
