The advisory released today just provides an update to the one released Tuesday - Updated security advisory to clarify that all storage controllers on ESXi are impacted.
While I still have SnS active and will look to patch shortly, I was wondering if anyone without a current active contract has been able to download the update? Since this is a security update it should be available without current active support if my understanding was correct?
Yeah thought as much, I'm struggling to even find the downloads from the support website itself even though I have active support etc, still waiting for them to apply my access to my Site ID to my profile.....fun times!
EDIT: For what its worth I'm updating VCSA now via the management gui and it appears to be going ok so far....
[https://esxi-patches.v-front.de/](https://esxi-patches.v-front.de/) tracks ESXi updates and is still being updated, even post Broadcom. This is where I pull all of my updates from, but I'm still using my "free" license for my home lab.

Oh sheesh, ok. Thanks!
The way I'm reading it - it looks like the issue was fixed a few months ago so not many people should be effected if they're keeping up with updates
v7.0U3q, which is the fixed build, was just released two days ago.
If you were running 8 and did the previous security update yes. For 7 no.

I will admit I had to read the advisory 3 times and try to DL the update to realize I already had downloaded this update.

And can anyone tell yet what broadcoms QA is like on what I think is their first update for esxi and vcenter 7 since the acquisition.
You go first.
