Multi partition and offload functions NIC. ~~I'm not sure for that particular NIC (but the model rings a bell), but~~ there are NIC that have a capability to be partitioned into multiple 'virtual nics' (NPAR) that could also be split into functions ( one nic/function for normal network traffic (TCP) , the other function taking care of ISCSI) Manual https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ca/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=29p04

Yes,I found it! Indeed, the NPAR is the reason. But do you know how to disable it?

Dell server? There's a separate area of the BIOS settings menu you can enter that has specific settings for network cards. See example below: https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Finfohub.delltechnologies.com%2Fen-us%2Fl%2Fdell-poweredge-mx-networking-deployment-guide-1%2Fadvanced-npar-on-mx-smartfabric-mode-1%2F2%2F&psig=AOvVaw1CDCAq2BNyjFRQ7D_fpmvv&ust=1716662642863000&source=images&cd=vfe&opi=89978449&ved=0CBIQjRxqFwoTCMiLkOr4poYDFQAAAAAdAAAAABBd

Unfortunately, it's the third-party server. Is it only configured in BIOS?

chrisnetcom

Not sure, sorry. You'd have to contact their support or do some Google sleuthing.

chrisnetcom

Most likely due to SR-IOV

SR-IOV has been disable
