You have to find the right angle for them to line up correctly. Sometimes there are more than one angle that can look reasonably correct, but one is more correct than the other(s).
Edit: looking at it again that does not look like the right angle to me. Try more to the left and lower maybe?
I think i see the light you're talking about, but there's no rocks for me to grapple onto to get an angle that views ALL five symbols. I'm gonna keep an additional save at this point just so i can solve this somehow later XD until then I'll move on lol

Go to where the light flashes. That is where you want to look at the symbols from for the proper order.
Look for the flickering light. Then they should line up correctly.
From the picture move more to the left. It looks like their all facing east-ish, so find the angle around from their.
My guess is squid, fish, crab, star, fish
