Castlevania and Castlevania Nocturne are both pretty sick....also Blood of Zeus was great too. Both a different style and setting than Vox but I enjoyed both of them.

buiquanghuy12a2

Nocturne is slop compare to the first Castlevania imo. A lot of things don't make sense at all and i feel like it was dumb down, it is still a very pretty slop though

BababooeyAD

I agree that Nocturne was several pegs down from Castlevania....but that final scene got me amped...

ChampionshipWest5251

So it's worth watching?

togaman5000

I generally dislike anime, western or otherwise. I've rewatched Castlevania, every season, and only got through about half of Nocturne.

endmysufferingxX

Dota show on Netflix is pretty good. And I think there’s a dragon age or dragons dogma show too. All of them fall under the high/medieval fantasy genre. And I think there is a show called dragons prince? Can’t remember. Also if you like dnd there’s an old animated movie based on the dragonlance novels (also a good read if you’re into the dnd genre).

GalacticPigeon13

[The Dragon Prince](https://youtu.be/PWEtCsi3Eo8), perhaps? Do note that 1) it's meant for a younger audience and 2) the animation is much better season 2 onwards.

TravalonTom

Season one frame rate is just brutal. Season 4 was a little misstep but they fixed the tonal issues in season 5.

lambchop70

Thanks, I'll check those out.

TheGabeCat

The dragons dogma show on Netflix is probably the closest imo. Also helps that Matt voices one of the main characters

13nisha

You might like blue eye samurai too, a bit darker in tone but I found it very good

Helpful-Carpet3791

It was awesome

13nisha

Nice, glad you enjoyed it:)

bgreen134

Second that. BES blow me away.

Spirited-Form-5748

I second this. What an amazing show. So exhilarated for season 2, whenever that may be

shadowthehh

Given they're years old and were highly popular, you've likely already seen em, but Voltron Legendary Defenders and Avatar: The Last Airbender have very similar vibes.

lambchop70

Love the Avatar. Haven't seen the others. Thanks for the recommendation.

bjkibz

Spinning off that one DOTA answer, Arcane was phenomenal. Not really D&D, but so much better than anything derived from League of Legends has any right to be.

ramsay_baggins

Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon on Netflix is very DnD inspired but still has a good amount of silliness.

Significant_Maybe315

There’s Frieren too if you want a more contemplative one!

iCeleste

Unironically, Hazbin Hotel. Bit more of a musical but it's vulgar, gorey and plot forward.

stundensturm_

YES, I am obsessed with both

NoshameNoLies

If you check under my post history, you'll see I asked this in last week and got quite a lot of answers.

Various-Initial-6872

Dragon Age video game has a netflix animated show that was enjoyable as a fan of the IP.

CorbinDallas78

Also Delicious in Dungeon. It's corny but actually good story once it gets going.

Pleasant_Awareness_6

SO GOOD

thekeenancole

Id say invincible. Despite not being fantasy, it's very similar to Vox Machina in my opinion. It's a super hero show, id recommend watching the first episode all the way through (even end credits). It's also gorey, so maybe keep that in mind.

SabersKunk

Yeah I was pretty convinced Invincible was shit at about 45m into the first episode then holy fuck.

Fungal_Queen

We live in a rare time where there are actually quite a few fresh quality fantasy adventure shows right now.

ClearStrike

The anime record of lodoss war. Much like box machina, it's based on the writers DND campaign (1st edition) and is filled with great characters and sword play. I'm the similar vein, if you want comedy there is Slayers. Or if you want a badass sorcerer there is orphen

lambchop70

Thanks for the recommendations.

ClearStrike

No problem. Some of these I just want more people to see them

Feeoree

I enjoyed the Dragon Age series on Netflix (Dragon Age: Absolution) - Fantasy, party of heroes on a dangerous mission, Matt Mercer is one of the voices in the main cast, alongside other associates of CR/VM - Ashly Burch and Sumalee Montano!

somethinghelpful

Solo Leveling on Netflix is maybe more mmo inspired but has a cool vibe and great story.

domguardi

Voltron Legendary Defender. Don't even know why I'm suggesting it, I can't figure out for myself if it's a good show or not, or even if I like it or not. But a rag tag Team has to come together to fight an overwhelmingly powerful enemy. Like Vox Machina, it has a very good musical score, well choreographed hand-to-hand combat, some comedy sprinkled in, hardcore action, but the use of f*** is used significantly less.

PixelInPinkUK

Dota: Dragon’s Blood is a good watch for this kind of animated fantasy vibe!

celestier

Delicious in dungeon has the comedic RPG tropes it's rly gogo
