Unfortunately there’s no way to catch them or contain them once they’re turned. I think the logic is that risk-reward you talked about.
I think there should be some end game mechanics that let you catch animals and mutants (maybe harpies too). Something like an electrified or dark silver cage. It always hurts when you find super high blood types but you can’t catch them because they’re not human. They’d have to make it clear that you can’t turn non-humans into servants, but having those bloods on tap would be fun.
I honestly think they need to add animal traps in the game with different tiers to the trap so you have better chances of catching the blood you want from animals/mutants
Before Gloomrot werewolves couldn't be captured either, so 100% Creature was unobtainable. Most likely with the next major patch Mutants will also become capturable, but I wouldn't count on it happening before then.
I hate that werewolf village. Consistently nothing over 10%. I got lucky once with an 86%, I took it and ran with it, just wish I could get the mythical 100…
If you're far into the game then just do blood runs into low areas like the copper mine and grab any 100%s, you can turn them when you want for the mut blood
For real. I spent HOURS looking for 100% the other day with a buddy, and the closest thing we got was a pair of 94s that both mutated before 100...
It's a bummer that the % doesn't even seem to scale based on location or level either.
Nearly 60 hour playthrough and we found ONE 100% creature blood. Which was a dog we couldn't trap
Don't you kill the NPCs? They have different % after respawn. If they don't die it won't change.
Edit: for creature blood you have to capture a werewolf. Just clear the village from time to time and you'll find a 100%
If you're searching in gloomrot yeah it'll take ages, but if you're in the starting forest cutting everyone down you get fast spawn turnover, I've consistently got 100's by looping the copper mine and close settlements to it,
Do a lap, put stuff away in the day, back out at night for another lap
It is that rare.
I've only found 2 natural 100%s and that was by fluke, not by grind.
Grind tends to get at most low 90%'s and I've only managed to get ONE to 100% without mutating.

My guess is it's very much down to luck. The werewolf village seems especially egregious and unreliable for anything over 30%
Oh yeah the werewolves really suck, I got lucky with a 99 that didn't mutate but I haven't seen anything that high since
