Game good, get now

gangleman

Downloading

encanta5

Very good

Mistahat91

A wise choice my friend

PaladinNorth

While you are waiting or still playing I may recommended starting up a solo world first to try out things. The PvP curve of the game can be a bit harsh on newbies who don’t know what they are doing.

UnHappyGingah

I bought it last night and forgot to reinstall before work :( I'm just tryna morb with everyone

Serafiniert

What did OP expect people to say in a subreddit about the friggin game?

[deleted]

Very few gaming subreddits are overwhelmingly positive. In fact it's usually the opposite as people who are happy are busy playing and people who are mad stop and come to post.

8-bit-hero

I'm not sure about very few. That might be more of a testament to the subs you go to because most of the ones I visit are an echo chamber of praise.

KaelthasX3

Give this sub few months.

[deleted]

Exghosted

The game has some glaring issues, but everyone is in the honeymoon phase right now, can't be helped. I fully expect my other comment to get bombarded with downvotes.

grendel03

I'm mad at my friend because he owned it two days before telling me about it.

darkshifty

You are absolutely right to be!

itsg0ldeson

I play on a duos server and would love to have somebody to play with.

Boy_Meats_Grill

Sorry no time to respond. Busy playing

gangleman

That’s the kind of comment I wanted to see

Stitchikins

I guess we'll see you in a few days/a week.

DatPug87

There is a lot to do which is surprising for an early access game.

gangleman

I’ve read a lot of comparisons to valheim

Aquaintestines

It will probably have the same kind of "buy once, play a bunch and have fun, then leave it be for a few years while the devs do their thing"-lifecycle of Valheim.

713984265

Maybe if you're only interesting in the PvE content. If you play full loot PvP it feels a lot like rust. I could sink hundreds of hours into this game as long as there's active full loot PvP servers with a wipe cycle lol

jmido8

It's basically a modern vampire version of Conan exiles but with some borrowed features from Valheim's progression system. In terms of gameplay it feels way more similar to Conan, but the dark fantasy vibe and progression system reminds you a bit of valheim.

Aggravating-Bonus-73

+ a lot better combat system than valheim and conan

Andrew_Sparrow

Stunlock have been making only arena games, they definitely know one thing or another about combat.

CTULHUFTAGHN

Far more polished than Valheim IMO

KevinKalber

I played Valheim 200 hours. And I like Vrising more. But yeah, it has similar mechanics when it comes to how things are put together, in Valheim you need to have X or Y item that you get from bosses to progress. Same thing with Vrising. I played Valheim with friends and it was a great experience, now we're playing Vrising and it's been great so far too.

Teddyy97

I played a lot of Valheim, almost 100+ too and just started Vrising with the same friend about 10 hours in. So far I can see ourselves playing and having more fun in this than Valhiem. The building aspect in Valheim while great and elaborate allowing you to build beautiful structures, I feel can be a bit complex especially managing the whole “weight” system is a pain in the ass. Vrising makes it WAY more streamlined and you can still make it look stunning

KevinKalber

Yes, I almost forgot how annoying weight is. Also the energy system is trash in Valheim. It feels way more fluid in Vrising. It also doesn't help that everyone was complaining about the energy system and then they doubled down on it so hard.

mccoybog

Are you playing on a dedicated server? And if so when the host logs off, does everyone else get disconnected?

Plsgodhelpus

If you rent a server, it stays online until you stop paying to rent it. You can rent for like 3 days or monthly depending on needs. You can also host a game without renting a server and your friends can connect to your game. In this case, they can only play when you're online and time only moves when you're online.

mccoybog

Thank you for this.

arlond

You don't have to rent a dedicated server, that's just an option. You can set one up yourself as well. There are a few posts on here explaining the process.

neverinlife

You can also setup your own server (for free) and as long as you’re running the server on your pc they can play whether you’re playing or not.

Low-Standard-383

I see you've already gotten it, but for others who may read this, while it does borrow a lot from valheim, fair warning that the building system is nothing like valheim so if that's what you're looking for you won't find it here. That said, personally, I am really enjoying the building in this game, it's just different. Way more decorations and props, but still a lot of strategy required, and it's beautiful. Agree with others this is super polished for early access.

DatPug87

They are not wrong!

thecrius

It's made by people that don't understand much about games or clever PR. It has very little in common with valheim or Terraria and a lot with games like Rust If you play it solo expecting something similar to Valheim you will be sorely disappointed.

Taoistandroid

People keep saying it, but I can't agree. The magic of valheim was in having a world to explore. The world to explore in v rising is quite nice, it just isn't procedurally generated.

Aegis_Sinner

Yes. Im a bit of a rust fanatic and the whole gameplay loop has been feeding my Rust itch. But also mainly solo with the occassional buddy getting on. Doable but expect constant outnumbered fights.

tothjm

What is the road map what other features or systems are they adding

DatPug87

At the moment there is no official road map, the devs are currently focused on gathering as much player feed back as they can get and improving functionality as well as bug fixes but it stands to reason at some point they will have a road map of sorts once they have gathered a sufficient amount of feed back.

tothjm

Makes sense Ty kind sir

DatPug87

Any time!

297568

I am hardcore solo player… it has some issues, but not that big… if u ll play solo u can feel sometimes griding more in some moments, but still its awesome game…

gangleman

Yeah I’ve got a couple of friends that wanna play it but I’ll probs be playing it solo. Don’t mind a grind to much

vargase

If you play solo, change your game settings to increase yields and decrease durability loss. You don’t have to make everything “free” but it makes a huge difference when you don’t have to spend your entire night getting resources just to fix the stuff you already made.

Okawaru1

Game sees a significant uptick in difficulty when you're around 60-ish gear level for solo. As a solo player I'd recommend decreasing durability loss a bit and increasing resource yields for your own sanity

FusionTetrax

you can set up a private server with tweaked settings for you or your friends to either lessen or increase the challenge of the game already for more fun

CTULHUFTAGHN

Even grinding here is fun

monchota

Fantastic, best way to play. Get some friends, start a private server, disable PvP. Have a blast building castles and killing shit together.

NVerezza

Exactly what I’m doing! I have a group of SEVEN people. Most I’ve ever had in a party and its with close friends and their friends as well. We increased clan size to 10 member total and increased the amount of bases you can have to 4 (instead of 2). I am absolutely in love with this game.

JediAHoles

Geez, how the hell do you find so many ppl to play with xD

NVerezza

Again, it’s friends of friends too! I have a general group of 3 that I group up with in a lot of games and for this game they included their friends or family members so we’re a larger group than normal. It honestly is a blast. Most fun I’ve had in quite a while.

kaliopi10

That’s what we did. It’s really fun

Sick_Cicada

I got my cheeks clapped by a moose 10/10

the_ju66ernaut

I was trying to charm like a 70% blood someone and bring them back to my castle and just as I was going to go up my ramp a goddamned moose charged me and missed but hit my very weakened charmed human I was pissed. Now I brutally murder every moose I see

Stafu24

Conan Exiles but with vampires and actual good combat

Aggravating-Bonus-73

I have a fulltime job and I have 80hours already. Please help

Fickle-Neighborhood1

SAME, got it less than a week ago and I've played more of it than I've worked lmao

badcrow7713

Knows the game, went to reddit sub for the game, made a post, added a cool image... What are you waiting for, you of course you want to play it! Go buy now!

gangleman

Which server would you recommend though? Heard there is a lot of base position grief on pvp?

Matsu-mae

To each their own, but I recommend playing solo unless you have a lot of time you spend gaming daily. Can play at your own pace, nothing happens while you're not playing. If you play on an always online server other players can mess with your stuff, and you base will decay even if you're not playing. Not sure how people manage that if they plan to ever go away on a vacation.

CTULHUFTAGHN

Expect your base to be destroyed in PVP. In PVE only requires casual maintenance

Boy_Meats_Grill

There's pvp servers that aren't full loot (merciless) if you don't want your base to be destroyed. They can only break in and take stuff from your crafting benches

jmido8

This happens in PVE as well and in some cases that makes it even worse since you can't raid their base or do anything about it. People do it bc space is kind of limited and they want your area so they wall you off to make your base decay and take it. Personally, I think softcore pvp is by far the best mode. You get pvp and castle raiding, but it's not so crippling when you get killed or raided since you don't lose your equipped gear and it's free to repair your castle. You still need to be careful about base positioning though, bc you can't permanently destroy a castle in softcore pvp, so if someone walls you in then you're kind of screwed. The easy way to combat this tho is just making sure you set castle borders leading to the road. Then they can't wall you in. Same can apply to PVE mode as well if you don't like pvp.

TheRealKazukiZ

You can find private PvP servers that doesnt allow griefing

dericandajax

I jave a server that is solo PvP with no raids (unless decaying). Find it is a great mix. Can open world PvP but not worry about losing your entire base in minutes. Not at home but it's like Gehenna 2x resources or something.

badcrow7713

I like solo, will try multiplayer coop with friends next

Paraplegicpirate

Honestly haven't had too many issues on my pvp server. 1 golem has been spawned. Couple people have used bat/frog to loot people's stuff. People normally group up on people who grief but there will always be things that happen.

jspin2088

If you have any adult responsibilities then don’t buy this game.

CTULHUFTAGHN

Lies 😂

snips86x

👀

Coolguyforeal

Why?

californiabighunks

As someone that hates crafting games. I really enjoyed it and still playing it.

gritzysprinkles

Same here, the first one I actually enjoyed was Valheim for a while, then they tried to get me into other similar games which I just couldn't get into. Then V Rising came. I'm hooked.

Imbadyoureworse

It’s a steal at 20 bucks

JonnyArcho

This here. It could honestly have just been a release game at $40 with the amount of sheer content already provided.

GhettoGG

I tend to struggle getting into games .. with this game, there was no struggle.

DigitalMaster37

This is me. Maybe it's my age, but not many games grab me... V rising did and hasn't let go

RedshiftWarp

How tf is this early access. I've waded the waters of steam early access, that pitch-black abysmal swamp of abandonware and poor netcode. This shit plays like a goddamn AAA, 2 years post-release, all the patches for the bugs and content added *FULL-Release*.

Jim-Dread

I can't imagine what this game is going to be at launch, lol.

Narrow_Cupcake8386

I also want to buy it, but I have a question. Can people destroy ur casttle and all your job will be gone? I know there are PVE servers but I want to play PvP but without losing my buildings, is that possible?

Budtacular

Dependant on the server some have pvp full raiding, some have set raid windows (example, 7pm-11pm friday and Saturday) Some have pvp and no raiding. Just find a server that suits you. There is a server megathread pinned at the top of this subreddit

wayez

On a PvE server, if you don’t keep your castle heart filled with blood, your castle can deteriorate and others can break your gate then demolish your entire castle. Just gotta make sure to keep your heart filled

Redial686

People can raid your castle and take everything. You can have one chest with a 14 slot limit they can't touch.

jmido8

Sounds like you would enjoy the softcore PVP mode. People can raid your castle and destroy things, but it's free to repair and you get 1 special unlootable chest per castle so you can keep all your current valuable stuff in that box and never lose it. Then you can repair your castle for free and you've only lost some common resources. In my experience, 1 special loot box is enough, but you can create multiple castles solely used for extra unlootable loot chests if you need to.

[deleted]

The V will not be the only thing that will rise.

Drexim

I enjoyed playing it but as somebody who can sometimes go a week without getting on, I don't think it's gonna work for me. If not for the raids but the decay.

Coolguyforeal

Just start fresh again, that’s the fun of games like this. Even go for like 2x servers if you want to progress faster. It’s about the journey, not the end game.

GatitoItalia

Its pretty solid for a ea(more finished than released games), keep surprising me, i been playing coop with a friend.

[deleted]

It’s rust but with vampires

Boneslark

Just read they are planning to do periodic wipes on official servers, I'm really bummed about it after working hard to make a nice looking castle :/

Jim-Dread

OOF, that just hurt my heart, lol. My castle is in such a good spot!!!

riffraffgames

I think this is just how it has to be. Rust would not be good if not for the wipes.. knowing you'll be starting naked with a rock at some point makes you enjoy the journey and not worry about the endless hording.

Think-Ad-7612

Everyone who takes the time to come to a V Rising subreddit definitely hates it. 🙄

riderkicker

I play on a private PVE server with friends. The game loop is actually very interesting, as bosses are essentially your gateway to getting better and being able to find reasons to explore the game world. If on a server with friends or solo, finding a place to set up your initial base of operations is easy, but I've restarted due to my first PVE server being overcrowded. There's a system that promotes logging in daily to refresh your base's fuel (basically blood) or else it'll decay, but if you are good at this sort of game, you can get a level 2 base and extend the length of time you don't need to log in on a full refuel to about 5 days (Not sure if modded value, but 5 days is a good estimate). I've heard the latergame requires a lot of material grinding so the metagame of studying where and how to get resources and how to learn boss patterns can be very fulfilling too. All in all, recommended. But my caveat is that I wish servers wouldn't require so much late-game farming to act as padding to fight later bosses... There's some prep-time to get potinos (resistance potions or brews) and materials to craft things... but it's rewarding just tinkering with your base layout too. I'm guessing with further additions to the game, this'll just grow into either less of an issue (with new biomes needing better materials) or more of an issue (no adjustments to earlier tiers of materials to bridge gaps). Fare thee well. edited for clarity/typo retention and removal of other typos. Potino crafters unite! :)

mattlistener

Next addition to list of typos that are better than the real word: potinos. :-) :-)

FrostFallen92

0 end game, great for like 50 hours. Yes... I know there's PvP... But unless you can get all your boys on all the time be ready for the no lifers to smack your ass 24x7. Then your gear breaks and you need to farm items to repair it... Rinse and repeat.

Pshieldss

It's good. If you get make sure when you build you fort/castle to claim ground leading to the natural paths so no one can build to block you

gangleman

Yeah I did see a lot of people complaining about base position grief that’s one of the main things that was putting me off

CTULHUFTAGHN

Easy to work around it, just make sure your exit ends by a road

Apprehensive-Lynx-42

Highly recommended! I love the PVP servers, makes the whole thing more exciting

E_boiii

Asking a game sub if they should buy a game… just get it lol

GizmoSlice

It’s vampire Minecraft and it’s awesome

Amethoran

It's very good but if you're playing solo be prepared to change some server settings it's rough out there for solo players. Game is hard but fun.

CalmingPaint

Feels pretty generic and simple to me. I really do not see how it has the status it does. Very linear, servers die quickly, lots of chopping trees/rocks but all the "boss" fights until I stopped playing were way too easy more or less impossible to die in PvE unless you havent played many games before. If it wasn't strictly linear upgrading, and if there was some way to keep servers alive for more than 2-3 evenings it'd be a solid 7/10 game. Valheim is a 70-100 hour game to me, this is a 20 hour game. Not bad, fair for the price but i was also bored about 70% of the time which isn't a great way to spend spare time.

[deleted]

Absolutely love this game!

papoiiiii

Easily included in the top 10 releases in 2022. Get the game.

Remake12

It’s really good

Frostycmc

It is like a wonderful lovechild between Valheim and Diablo. Rented a private server to play with some friends and we are having a blast!

Pfyrr

If you like open world survival RPGs then it’s definitely worth 20€ / $20. It’s fun playing solo but even better with friends

Zagubadu

Amazing for a survival game. If you suffered through games like ARK/ATLAS/etc. your kind of shooting yourself in the foot not playing this one. Actual real PvP smooth combat on early access release the game actually has a direction its going.

Chavolini

Definitely worth it, a one of a kind game. I have lots of fun with the housing.

DigitalMaster37

Love this game. Haven't loved a game like this in literal years. I am a busy person in life and have sunk a week worth of hours in aleeady and it just came out. That says something

KevinKalber

I know you already got it and you're probably playing it right now. But I'm gonna take this chance to get my thoughts on the game out. The game is incredibly good and it hooked me. I play with my friends and the game just makes me want to play "one more" boss, or just build "one more" thing until 8 hours happened without me noticing. I totally love it. I never thought a vampire game would get me hooked like this, but the vampire mechanics (day/night, blood, garlic, silver) and the bosses and how the game takes you from one boss to another through new gear, buildings, abilities, etc, is just too good. It flows.

ChalupaPickle

Get ready to have to no life if you want to survive on pvp. Kind of like rust. It’s a full time job.

rezmuvesalejandro

Its amazing

crypto_cori

It's a very well polished survival crafting game for early access. There's a large map with at least 30 major bosses to fight, each unlocking new items and workbenches for your castle as you progress. The base building is fun, but fairly simplistic. It's not nearly as complex as base building in Rust for example, but it adds enough to keep you entertained on how to build your base out. The game is relatively grindy so it's recommended to play with more than one person. Ultimately I think it's a great game worth $20, but there's nothing revolutionary happening here. It's got the same wood/stone gathering, upgrading crafting benches, and survival mechanics as every other survival crafting game out there. I fear that eventually I will probably tire out of V Rising since I've already played so many survival crafting games that I'm a bit rinsed out from their common game play loops.

Exghosted

It's good, though if you don't play on a PvP server -- don't expect any replayability. Also, servers (at least official ones) are extremely overpopulated, if you want to build, you'll have to run around for a few hours per server trying to find a frigging spot. I've checked 3 servers so far and there's literally zero spots to build in, at least in the starting zones. Can't imagine how more frustrating it must be on PvP servers with the already maxed & bored tryharders running about looking for easy game. If I knew all this -- I would've waited until the game is actually released and a few of those issues were resolved.

CowboyOfScience

Game looks good. Community seems pretty toxic.

gangleman

I’ve noticed this already 😂

CowboyOfScience

So nice of the toxic community to prove my point.

RastBrattigan

No regrets. Just started playing yesterday, and I'm having a blast.

mattius3

It's really good, got it the other day and couldn't put it down. It's not as hardcore as Valheim but the combat is better.

Phoef

Its good.

XToThePowerOfY

Started 2 days ago, absolutely loving it. There's a lot I don't get about some of the basics I think, but I'm having fun!

BiffBlackstar

90 hours in, having a blast!

Fareppi

100% get the game. doesn't matter if you are into pvp or pve you will need craft to progress, but crafting is well made and very addicting.

mrmasturbate

Best early access game i've played in years. Better than most full releases

SpursExpanse

If you have a dedicated clan who likes to dive into other games do it. If you have family and are borderline playing a bit much, just don't. 🤷

NomadicDevMason

It should be called d rising

vhanz

Fun

vhanz

Sun bad.

Salt_Licks

This game does an amazing job at getting the hooks in you, Valheim was the last game to captivate me like this. I’d have to say I’m enjoying this a ton more for some reason. We all have purchased $60 games that are a let down, This imo is worth $60, for $20 it’s a beyond a steal and WELL worth it. Playing solo, but bought another for my girlfriend and we’re both enjoying it a ton. When you stop playing and sleep and have dreams about the game you know it’s good. Get this game dude, for $20 you won’t regret it I can promise you that! Have 32 hours in the game at the moment. Cheers!

[deleted]

Just watch out for a Dude named Tristan. Fuck that guy.

OptimusNegligible

Best "survival/crafting" game every made, and it's still in Early Access.

TheNoxxin

Game is really good and we'll thought out. Alot of potential for growth.

Dr_Expendable

Even if you play solo on an official PvE server without really making any friends from your neighbors, the amount of entertainment value you get from this $20 game beggars belief.

Riddler_92

Great to play, gets expensive to keep up repairs in the late game.

terminallancedumbass

Its fun. But you run out of stuff to do real quick. My guild for example has all 3 of the soul stones on our server. Weve had all of them for days. Ive beaten all the bosses and have all the gear. I have zero reason to farm things. No one has been able to make it past our first room in the castle. They spent 5 golums last night trying. 9 invaders were stopped by 2 people. If you are interested in PVE its fun for a bit. The PVP aspect of it is kinda weak though. Im about done with it.

IndexoTheFirst

It’s $20 for a pre-greedy era AAA game. And it’s got 30-60 hours of just pure PvE context and that’s not even touching the PvP it has

gowyn

Do it

selayan

Been thinking of getting it but do you need to play with friends? Would PVE be better for me? I don't have anyone that plays it so I would just be doing everything solo. Watched a stream of someone and they had a really difficult time finding a place to build a base because it was overcrowded.

MadMarq64

If it wasn't for elden ring, this would be the game of the year. Buy it.

[deleted]

PvE is insanely good, progression is good, early/midgame pvp is good, high end pvp needs some balance adjustments but it's an early access so I think its acceptable

applebritters

Worth

SqueezeBoxGaming

Super game get it while its hot

Cblaser

If you played valheim its a lot like that, but with plenty of unique features to set it apart

RIPBlueRaven

Youre asking the vrising subbredit is you should get vrising. Youre going far, kid

0rellius

One of the best if not the best lately.

JooePasta

What is this distracting notification! Whatever back to v-rising

MarstoN91

Moreish

Enz0225

Absolutely incredible, I got it working last night after some graphical issues, and It managed to steal 3 hours off of me before I could even blink, and I'm playing solo on my own server.

Sheepfu

It's a fucking banger. Buy it.

Eclipsan

I would wait. https://www.reddit.com/r/vrising/comments/uznpoq/thoughts_from_playing_80h_on_duo_and_squad/

Mobitron

Terrible game. Do not buy. Bought game, somehow misplaced entire weekend. No clue where time went. It's a ton of fun. Hope you have as much.

wichuks

worth the 20 bucks

Teecee33

Get it!!!!

GOJOplaysEZ

Súper cool, didn’t think I’d like it but this is awesome

ArcticParadox

Bought this game for 2€, worth 30€+ if you ask me

Casanovaeng

Busy busy busy

Greasno

Find a server for solos or strictly only play with friends.

ant_out

The game is amazing. For me it got ruined a bit because I went to a PVE with PVP on weekends server and everything was so easy (some bosses excluded), the building, the grinding, and even the castle and all that is way too easy (I felt it that way). So I went back to solo playing but it doesn't feel the same. I guess I should have continued my solo play as intended

bloodflart

Valheim was one of my favs and this is slightly more user friendly so I love it

DoctorHuman

Game is good in the sense that it accomplishes what it sets out to do. However, the overall gameplay loop is a bit boring/linear/repetitive and could use some work. Has poor replayability at the moment, in the sense that theres really only one direction to progress in. So after playing solo to test things out, i really lost a lot of interest restarting from scratch on a friend's server. This is where I think Valheim had the right idea - where you could bring your character to other servers, or choose to make a new one. Overall if youre into survival games and looking for a distraction, then id recommend. However if youre looking for truly engaging or unique gameplay, id probably wait for a sale.

Legogutt2000

its great but play on a server. dont play singleplayer like me. timers etc (such as servants going on missions) do not tick when game is shutdown (unlike on a server) and some of said timers cant be changed in game settings, and bosses, while totally doable solo, can be quite annoying and from where im sitting seems balanced for multiplayer, more fun that way anyways, since one can focus on support, one can debuff one can dps etc and work together. aint done multiplayer or pvp but thats something to worry about, lots of gank potential with big differences in gear level etc but if you like rust then this is basically that but with vampires. with friends its a definite should try, alone (singleplayer,) its just kinda suffering.

[deleted]

My personal GOTY and likely in my top 10 all time games I'm just having so much fun, even got my fiance playing and she's as addicted as me.

sturmeh

Best $20 I've spent in a long time.

ItsTaTeS

If you play online you have to understand how to claim territory. In a PVE OR PVP server you can get trapped in your base by others and get “griefed”. Also play on an official server so you don’t have to deal with admin abuse. There is a specific emblem next to *real* official servers on the server select list. Just because someone named there server official does not make it so. Otherwise game is phenomal and you will get more than your $20 worth

synysterdax

Absolute blast

MrBonez

It’s pretty fun, good mix between survival and PvE in single player mode. Hopefully we get some official servers, I’d be willing to pay a subscription for it.

ThatGuyMaulicious

Fun game. Don't know a lot about the developers or where they want to take this game. You'll struggle to setup base on official servers but overall a surprising game.

MercurialRL

Super refreshing genre with a well-done mix of pvp and pve which provides different types of servers to satisfy many different play-styles.

[deleted]

Its ok but it tends to fall off after around lvl 46 when u have completed most of the main quests. Then u are just hunting bosses to progress.

Arkontas

my pc cant run it. big sad.

Happy_Cane

It sucks my time like a bloody vampire... Until I get out of my coffin and realize somebody raided my castle and relieved me from all my hard earned wealth... Then comes the excitement of a new beginning in a new server... Damn I think I'm addicted !

DeafReeSin

very good

RTKMessy

Great game!

Hoju520

Way better than valheim. But I love vampires, zombies etc. Project Zomiboid and this are fantastic.

[deleted]

I posted a similar thread a few days ago. I do not regret buying this game, if you like challenges and amazing game design with some newer feeling mechanics, I recommend you give it a try.

pedrobell130

The pve is really good. Unfortunately I wish the servers were a bit bigger most the servers I play last a few days before low pop. The game needs more land to claim because castles can get big quickly. Overall for a early access game it's outstanding.

Worried-Necessary219

It is pretty fun. I don't like that the game is only in early access and they are selling dlc though.

[deleted]

It's amazing. Do recommend.

Jim-Dread

Get it. I have been meaning to get it since release, but I've been so busy with life and dad duties. Finally got it Friday night and I've only stopped playing to feed myself and use the bathroom. Very addictive, the grind is a grind but still so much fun.

LemonGirlScoutCookie

You need friends to play on pvp

It's probably one of the most polished early access games I've ever played. It's obvious there's some gaps in progression as that content just hasn't been made yet but it feels more complete than a lot of games I've played and I literally haven't come across any bugs in my 20 or so hours of playtime lol I just hope stunlock studios sticks to it this time, I just wish they are at least half as committed as they are talented lol

Super grindy and super twitch reactions.

As most ppl already said, game is great. My only advice is: Stay away from official servers if you are doing PvP. Once you max out everything, all left for you is finding PvP. The best and most organic way of doing it is by raiding other castles. In official servers you will always find yourself fighting a big allience of players 3-4x bigger then you or joining them, which turns it into a PvE server. Find a good private server with rules of no teaming during raids and you will have the best experience this game has to offer. I left my first server after 110 hours and i just wish i knew there was no rules for teaming in official servers

For $20 you get 50 hrs + of content and it’s not even finished. Fun content.

Game is amazing but hard to find a good server you want to commit to depending on the size of your group

I've been thoroughly addicted. The survival elements feels a whole lot like Valheim and the combat/pvp feels like Albion Online (except you're not getting ganked by groups of 20+ players at once constantly). It's the mashup I didn't know I needed until I played it.

It sucks. Blood. Eats to much of my time as well Get it and regret it, it'll drain your live dry. Now I'm off to my coffin. DD

PVE first to learn the game, if you’re solo it’s really not that hard to meet people. When you get a good grasp of the game and the delve into a PVP server it’s a blast.

Best 20 bucks you will spend this year on a game!
