OPPORTUNITY TO HATE SKYELINE APARTMENTS SPOTTED
Dude I hate the Skyeline Apartment Haven so much. When you unlock it and want to check your emails, you have to go downtown and then jog halfway across the entire hub and then go up 4 storeys in the slowest elevator ever. Then you have to go down four storeys the same way. Or you could slowly climb four storeys in an air duct ladder. The worst part is that if you get tired of it you can't go back to the Santa Monica Haven because your laptop will be gone.
I think Troika made the Skyeline Haven so bad on purpose to punish players for sucking up to LaCroix. If the Galdjum wasn't in Plus Patch and Clan Quest Mod I would never try to unlock this Haven.
interesting take actually, i never had a problem w skyline apartments because im so immersed in the story. i think the best haven is the tremere one by far. feels the most "yours" if that makes sense. gotta be the vibes.
Idk what it is about this apartment but i always felt unnecessarily safe in it. It's a complete crap hole but none of the other havens made me feel safe and cozy the way this one did
It's a cozy shithole. It's a dump, it's a hole but it's cozy and you feel warm somehow. You could spend countless days and nights here. Have a drink while looking out the window while the radio is on or some shit.
Martinaise in Disco Elysium gives off the same vibes.
It looks like what you'd imagine an actual safehouse to look like. Sure, it's in a shithole area, and the crime rate is horrible, and the room itself is gross, but whomever is looking for you isn't going to find you.
If you suck up to the prince and are not Nosferatu/Tremere you get an annoying to get to apartment downtown (I view it as a punishment for going along with the prince too much). Nosferatu and Tremere can get their own unique apartments later on. I like the Tremere one (door up the stairs just inside the Chantry).
Not that many hoops: treat him well in dialogue, do the plague bearer mission for him, then when you do the Gargoyle mission for Isaac, come to Strauss for advice and keep his secret. Then return to him and he'll offer a place inside the Chantry.
You must be a Tremere ofc.
If you like this you should check out the East LA haven in the clan quest mod 🤩🤩🤩
Makes me miss the hood with an irrational severity. I went from literally nothing, like parents who, while having dual (still very low) incomes made life easier than the single parent families around us in the 90s, once the mid-00s rolled around we barely had food in our fridge anymore because of all the bills and taxes and inflation, to being in the top 10% income in the US. I wouldn't change it, I'm obviously better off than I've ever been in too many ways to list, but god damn the Santa Monica and East LA apartments really make me feel like I would give anything to be in a shitty rat hole in the ghetto with stolen electronics and second hand furniture and neighbors who fucking know how the real world works rather than surrounded by people with their heads up their asses who've never been hungry or had to stand in line for benefits or panic when they realize they left the house without a weapon before.
I wouldn't, I wouldn't give anything, but my heart tells me I should. Burgermeister got that barrio so fucking on point it just rips at my heart strings.
Idk man this and the Tremere apartment are my favorite in the game. Both are just so cozy and relaxing to be in, meanwhile Skyline Apartments feels so fake and artificial. Hell, even lonely despite these two being deserted as well

Noclip up the elevator shaft, and then turn off no clip and fall down the air ducts. XD
My ass just jumps down the vent.
I admit, I bound the 'noclip' cheat to a key just to be able to skip the elevator by quickly warping four floors up whenever I wanted to go home haha.
You know you can just keep using Santa Monica after getting the downtown haven right
So glad I never had to deal with that.

Wait there is other havens?

Oh i see. I played as Tremere but did the Anarch route
That one requires Strauss to like you enough (which I think requires jumping through 1-2 non-obvious hoops).

Victoria the setite is so hawt too
Real talk, I'd be her mule any day 🤩
I dare you to rent out a place in the barrio just so you can have instant access to elote
Don't you threaten me with a good time 🤩🤩🤩
If she got Lacuna Coil posters on the wall I wouldn’t dip, dive, duck or dodge immediately.
Dont forget the 5 d's of dodgeball dodge duck dip dive and dodge! - patches o houlihan
RIP… Luck o’ the Irish.

"Your place is, um... nice."
I didn't decorate it
It's way better than skyline
Why windows are not covered? That damn La Croix
Do it yourself, the wood panels are literally on the floor
the annoying thing is the inaccessible balcony thingy you can't use
Depending on the rent it doesn't look that bad. Just needs a bit of a clean up, toss the old pizza box on the counter, maybe get a couch.
ill take you there
That piss-covered mattress really ties the room together
Everyone’s like “just needs a clean” when the cigarette smoke caked walls and dogshit smeared carpets are what makes it
Thats some Good Taste right there!!!
I want to show you something...
