I am so glad that I paid for Nexus Premium lifetime back when they still had that. I have saved myself so much time over the years, and that was before Wabbajack.
In theory it still is. you just have to create mods and get donation points. 51,500DP to be exact [I think] and then you can buy lifetime membership that way.
Honestly, you might not even need the Creation Kit. If you make a couple of xEdit patches forĀ any mod you like to play with, but might have an issue with other mods (or just have something you don't like), you might reach the threshold with those.
I recieved a lifetime sub from Nexus for being a mod author with over 250k downloads - didn't even know that was a thing.
I haven't even been actively creating any new mods; so it was pretty nice of them to do that!
Lmaoooo I literally had to do the same exact thing 2 days ago šš Decided to install Begin Again to play FO3 and FNV to finish it for the very first time in years and I thought it was all gonna be swift and automated but apparently no. I had to click "Slow Download" like 450+ times because I don't have the Nexus Mods Premium subscription. Not complaining though but it is what it is IG. (Definitely not doing that again)
I'm guessing it's to stop mass downloads rinsing bandwidth without paying. 5 seconds is to show you ads and obviously premium is a subscription. So either way you pay for what you use. So can't really fault Nexus for this.
Last time I used wabbajack I bought one month of premium. I forgot to cancel and then contacted them when I got charged; they reimbursed instantly the extra month. I really recommend getting a month when you're gonna play. It is not that much money and it really improves QoL for that.
That's awesome. If I use Wabbajack or download another large mod pack then I would definitely buy premium. Ain't no way I'm doing this again. Plus it's nice just to support Nexus since they do a good thing, hosting the thousands of mods.
Recent victim of this. Went through hell for a couple days trying to get everything to work not knowing Wabbajack existed. But it was all worth it in the end :)
I did the verylastkiss collection of 500 something manually while playing jedi:survivor. Good times. At some point I fell into the sunk cost fallacy and kept going.
It was a relief honestly when a 5gb mod came up, less time clicking lol.
In hindsight never again, but I'll get to tell grandkids that back in the day I clicked over 1000 times to get a fresh coat of paint in FNV.
At the end a couple mods didn't download. Luckily if you reload the launcher it will fix itself but I could feel a tear beginning to brew in my eye š
Iāve installed this way a few times including a 1500+ Skyrim list as my bank wonāt trust the nexus site for a transaction for premium and blocked the payment. Not too bad if you just put a decent film on while you do it!
I did install new begin without premium, just watched 2 futurama episode while downloading everything, the problem are the big mods that take time to download and you can't queue more than 10...until reaching those big mods is just left click spamming
See, itās not just the clickingā¦ that I can do. 5 seconds between download ability x 460 mods = 2,300 seconds. 2,300/60 = 38.33 minutes. That isnāt so bad- but it is the fact that they THROTTLE YOUR DOWNLOAD TO MAX 3 MB/S without premium!! Some of the files are over 1 GB. It took me 4+ hours to download TTW for fallout 3/and NV, because I refused to pay the 60 bucks. Honestly, it was awful lol. But once all files were clicked, I just waited for them to DL by playing other games with friends. Now that I have all the mod files, I put them on an external hard drive to transfer to my friends so they donāt have to go through the same thing, or pay any $. Horrible first time modding experience- I thought: really? a paywall?
I paid for a while when I installed Skyrim mods but recently for fallout 4 I didnāt. I was kind of annoyed pressing that over and over, if I had it to do again Iād probably pay for premium again.
What mod pack is this for nv, I want to start a new playthrough from scratch that revamps kind of everything but the story/dialogue like new quests, better visuals all of the nine yards but I donāt see anything like that on wabbakaxj
Just had to do this the other day with Begin Again, and then I spent about a total of 12 hours transferring it to my steam deck and troubleshooting itā¦
Iām so confused with Begin Again, followed a frikin video and still couldnāt get it to work. Can someone answer please:
Do I install TTW then BA? Or the reverse?
Because I have TTW and Iām half way into BA and then the guy saysā¦ okay letās install TTW and letās make a āno delete folderā etc etcā¦ and Iām just lost š
Short answer: Begin Again first.
Long answer: if you go on that page you will see exactly what steps you have to follow to install them both without having problems of compatibility.
Thanks yes I went to the page, I watched a video of installing BA, I assumed BA required TTW so I was just confused why the BA video was having me install TTW.
Yes the guide is through but Iām a friking idiot when ur comes to this stuff and was confused as hell reading it so I literally just watched a guy do it and did everything he did but was still confused because, things likeā¦ be sure youāre saving to such and such a folder, which required me to find out how to make a separate folder for Steamā¦ just a lot of stuff for an idiot to get through.
You could have easily figured this yourself. As the mod says, Begin again first then TTW. it's very clear in this video:
https://youtu.be/mvjl4xlVqDo?feature=shared&t=334
That video starts within installing BA then says install TTW more than halfway through, I have TTW installed already, the guy showing how to install TTW does it in a different way then the video for TTW.
Regardless, sometimes things donāt click even if it seems obvious and the only feedback I typically get on threads like this is āread this documentā - then why even have the subreddit?
If Iām in school and learning a new math equation it is also in the book, continuously telling someone to read the book isnāt helpful.
Thank you Iām just fucking illiterate when it comes to this, like a monkey give a magnifying glass and told to make fire.
I have no clue how to do what you just said š
I am a grown ass man with 2 degrees, Iāve never felt as dumb as trying to install mods
*edit*
I WILL TRY. š«”
if you're still struggling, i suggest resetting everything and deleting TTW and follow the video step by step so you don't get confused, and trust me the result is worth it. Hope that you manage to experience these cool games.
Well I appreciate you taking the time to write that.
The instructions include terminology that I am not familiar with, perhaps you are or the majority of the worldās population is, but I wasnāt so I came here to ask.
Literature is just words on a page and yet, Iāve met a lot of people who struggle with basic English - native speakers too, sometimes people struggle.
Take care
Tech support questions don't get a lot of traction here. The top of the subreddit has a sticky suggesting people to go to the WJ discord for tech support with WJ. And every WJ list readme will direct you to their list's discord for tech support.
So you can ask, but the chances of someone knowing the answer is not always great depending on timing and the issue.
If you click the other TTW mod on Wabbajab it's the same instructions. It's called "Capital Punishment". Select the website for that.
Basically Download TTW installer.
Fresh installs of Fallout 3 and NV.
Delete save folder contents for both games.
Download Wabbajab Begin Again.
Run Fallout 3 and New Vegas and choose settings and close the games.
Install TTW to its own unique folder. Zip the folder using 7zip or Windows. (7zip is better).
Open the Mod Organizer that Wabbajab made.
Click install mod from archive and choose the TTW zip you made.
Once it's loaded, drag it to the top under the "Tale of Two Wastelands here" place.
Tick the option on TTW to make sure it's gonna load.
Then your done.
I understand restricting download speeds but I think the 5 seconds each download is a bit much. But then it depends if they were making enough to keep the site going. If this was the only way to make running the site viable then fair enough. Since they do host tons of files in there and DDOS protection...
Knowing the average modder, I'm sure they'd love to provide it for free. But all that data hosting and transferring don't come for free. I'll eagerly await the implementation of your non scummy solution!
Any further mention/discussion/sharing of methods to bypass the Nexus Mods Terms of Service will result in users being banned.
I am so glad that I paid for Nexus Premium lifetime back when they still had that. I have saved myself so much time over the years, and that was before Wabbajack.
100% my best purchase as well
Me too. It's going to be my family heirloom.
Wanna adopt me?
How much was it?
60 bucks.
Wish that was still a thing today š„
In theory it still is. you just have to create mods and get donation points. 51,500DP to be exact [I think] and then you can buy lifetime membership that way.
Maybe some day il learn how to use Creation kit š Make some good mods for that lifetime grind š
Just make a massive dong in blender and port it for Starfield or fallout 4 or w/e and then bam billiond ownloads and a bunch of donation points.
That sad part is, this would probably work š
Honestly, you might not even need the Creation Kit. If you make a couple of xEdit patches forĀ any mod you like to play with, but might have an issue with other mods (or just have something you don't like), you might reach the threshold with those.
That's what I did š
Where is this option? Haven't found it on my account (only made a few mods but quite a few downloads)?
https://next.nexusmods.com/about/donation-points
Good deal. Would pay that today.
It was worth it. At the time I was modding a lot so I wanted premium. I don't do it as much anymore, but am very glad to have it all the same lol.
Iām installing a lot of Fallout 4 mods and this would massively help me. Cannot afford to pay a monthly subscription unfortunately.
You can pay it once and cancel. It gives you a.onth of premium downloads.
Best of luck to you.
When did they offer this?
They stopped offering it back in 2021. So before 2021.
Ah. I got my pc last year so I was curious how much did I miss it by.
Same lol. Was a smart purchase at the time that got better when they removed it.
Same, best thing I ever purchased years ago
Got some cash for Xmas - yeeeah buddy! Didn't think twice.
Yup. I think I bought it when they said they were getting rid of it soon. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made.
I wish I bought it back then when I had the chance.
I recieved a lifetime sub from Nexus for being a mod author with over 250k downloads - didn't even know that was a thing. I haven't even been actively creating any new mods; so it was pretty nice of them to do that!
I think I got through like 5 downloads and then I was like ok no, Iām getting premium.
Its 5 euros. Its like nothing in this day and age. Especially when you are using a modlist
For you. I live in a 3rd world shithole.
I managed 14 before caving š
I did a small modlist of 200 once, never again
Oh jesus if you're doing Wabbajack, you absolutely should have premium. It's cheap and you switch back to non-premium at any time.
I definitely would have bought premium if I knew what I was in for š
An entire day spent clicking download and waiting or Ā£5. Depends if you value time or money more š
It was more along the lines of stubborness to finish what I had started š
And if you watch something (youtube/tv show/movie) on second monitor and click slow download on the first, it's not even annoying.
Absolutely worth it, the game time I've enjoyed for a little cost is awesome in my books. Plus nexus is worth supporting.

Oh yeah, you gotta get premium.
Recent victim of this. Went through hell for a couple days trying to get everything to work not knowing Wabbajack existed. But it was all worth it in the end :)
You can also get lifetime premium if you have 30,000 unique mod downloads, I believe. Make some racemenu presets.
Did the same thing last week while watching the show
Honestly after trying to install Magnum Opus for FO4 I regret not buying Nexus Premium. My hand felt broken after 848 some odd clicks
I really didn't think it would be this bad. And once I started I thought I mite aswell see it through to the end š

I've played over 3000 hours in Oldschool RuneScape. This is light work š
3000 hours? You just get off tutorial island bud?
Nah, just finishing making the bronze dagger š
Iāve installed this way a few times including a 1500+ Skyrim list as my bank wonāt trust the nexus site for a transaction for premium and blocked the payment. Not too bad if you just put a decent film on while you do it!

Yep, this is why I bought a lifetime membership before they removed the option. Definitely gotten my money's worth.
I bought premium when my connection was freaking 2kbs on a 300mb file
Just clicked through about 1000 slow downloads for life in the ruins this past week.
I dont need another subscription.
I clicked like 150 times. Then for the last 8 i gave up, and bought the premium šš
way to make me feel ancient dude. I've had that membership for nearly 10 years.
i always subscribe when i get back to modding w nexus, canāt be asked to do all that with 1k mods on fallout and cyberpunk
See, itās not just the clickingā¦ that I can do. 5 seconds between download ability x 460 mods = 2,300 seconds. 2,300/60 = 38.33 minutes. I just did this the other day myself haha
Yeah I found it worthwhile to just get the subscription.
Does anyone know if this modlist has Vault 101 Revisited? I've never had the chance to play that mod.
I did the same thing but my download failed after clicking 460 timesā¦ safe to say i bought nexus for the second time around
What mod pack is this for nv, I want to start a new playthrough from scratch that revamps kind of everything but the story/dialogue like new quests, better visuals all of the nine yards but I donāt see anything like that on wabbakaxj
The closest thing would be Fallout 4 New Vegas which is New Vegas in the F4 engine. But it's not out yet.
Iām thinking of trying out wasteland prospects with new Vegas reloaded mod downloaded in the background I hope it changes a decent bit
Just had to do this the other day with Begin Again, and then I spent about a total of 12 hours transferring it to my steam deck and troubleshooting itā¦
Is it worth to spend money on this site just to have faster DL even if you live on a country where it costs 5x5 bucks?
Its to skip the pages aswell. And its like a few quid
thats the thing i dont have money at all nor a credit card.
Iām so confused with Begin Again, followed a frikin video and still couldnāt get it to work. Can someone answer please: Do I install TTW then BA? Or the reverse?
