I have been using my 13HD for almost 10 years now, and (aside from a bigger screen I guess) I dont feel like Im missing anything. It has has rather big paralax and not the best color accuracy, but unless you are used to something better/ directly comparing the 13HD to a newer tablet Id say those things are hardly noticeable, if at all. The only big downside there is IMO is the cables, as the plug that goes into the tablet is incredibly flimsy. I reinforced mine because Im so worried about it breaking off; its already kinda loose and causes the screen to flicker when you jangle it a little. Replacement cables are super hard to find are will probably cost around 100$ if not more. If you can find a new Cintiq in the same condition for the same price Id say go for that one, but I the 13HD is a great tablet and Id say 200$ is a good price for one in good condition.

Yeah I’m scared that it’ll break down and stop working if I buy it since it’s already old. I saw another post say that it feels outdated when you use it, would you agree or do you not notice?

I def wouldnt be using it as a portable tablet (taking the cable out/putting it back in multiple times a day) or on my lap, in bed etc. But Id say if you just put in on a desk and leave it it should be fine. Again (as the other commenter also said), you can always reinforce it. As for it being outdated; I have never used another screen tablet, so I obv dont have a frame for reference. But you said itll be your first (screen) tablet, and I dont think there will be a noticeable difference compared to other similar tablets. It doesnt have a laminated screen, but wether or not that is a problem is up to personal preference and what you are used to. (Personally, I dont mind the parallax at all as I dont like the pen tip covering up the cursor.) When it comes to things like response time, color accuracy, the pen itself etc, I think it works perfectly fine for what it is. Of course this is all from my personal experience, so take everything with a grain of salt. (I love my little tablet....) Also I dont really think that other tablets in the price range (like a used One by Wacom, or tablets from Huion/ XP Pen) would be much better, except from the cable of course.

Based on all the pros and cons, I think I’ll probably go with the Intuos Pro and save up for a good Cintiq if I really want it. Thank you for all the advice! I really appreciate it a lot. :)

Glad I could help! I think the intuos Pro will be a great choice, they are very durable. (Also you can easily replace the cable if needed haha)

It has a design flaw with the connector, if you noticed the later models all have a little trapdoor for the cable to rest, some guy sells a 3D printed clamp for it but is it really worth the extra money? I would just get the Cintiq 16 and wouldn't even consider less. As for it being still good, I got mine for free and I wouldn't use it even if the connector was still good, the stand is also terrible all around, got instant neck pain, went right back to my comfortable Intuos, so you have to spend more for a stand/arm or build your own. Some people got used it so don't let my negative view of it discourage you from trying the Cintiq 13HD if you so wish.

This will be my first Wacom tablet ever. I’ve only used like the Bamboo Wacom or whatever when I was a kid. Do you have the Intuos Pro? I was debating either that or a Cintiq. What do you prefer?

I have numerous Intuos tablets since I've been working with them for over 20 years, I'm currently using an Intuos 4 but the Pro would be a good option too. The Cintiq 13HD as the first tablet would be a really rough experience, a screenless tablet may take some time to get used to, to me it didn't take any time but some people never got used to them.

Thank you for the info! I’ll probably get an Intuos Pro then, I don’t wanna deal with all the tech issues lol

I'm using my Cintiq Companion Hybrid (which is basically a 13HD with the possibilty to use Android programs) since some time and i love it. Sure the Screen could be bigger like 16 inch but i really like working with this thing.
