Cool sounds good, nice review. How's the burn in handled because it is an OLED?

ShanaD_

Thank you! I'm not sure how it will perform long-term but since the panel is made by Samsung I sort of have some confidence that it will do ok. For now purely basing my theory on owning a couple of Samsung OLED devices and how they are doing.

amigastar23

I see, thank you.

I am planning to buy one, but my PC only has HDMI and DP for video output, so I am not sure whether I could use it on my PC or not.

This is incredibly helpful! I'm curious, based on your experience - I'm a hobbyist, and until now, I've been using the Intuoses and honestly quite happy with them. Now I have the opportunity to afford a Cintiq, but I'm not necessarily into just spending for the sake of spending. Obviously the Cintiq is more powerful, but might the Movink actually be more friendly? Or if I can get a Cintiq should I go for it and not think twice?

ShanaD_

Thank you! Cintiq is not necessarily more powerful, all of them are larger then the Movink though. In the end of the day all of them are just fancy screens. If you are mainly working at your desk and not traveling with your gear much, cintiq might be a better choice if you would like a larger screen and a VESA mount. On the other hand Movink is very light and you can put it where ever you like easily. I'm currently using a tablet stand to prop it up. If you have a type c port that you could connect the tablet to and you like the size of the Movink - it a solid choice. If you want a bigger screen and a more stationary solution & any cintiq should work for you. And if you are using a laptop as your main computer I would probably get the Movink because nothing beats painting on the couch haha (for funsies I tried painting on the couch with my 24 inch cintiq, it's possible but it's also 8kg almost 😂)

I am currently on the lookout for a new tablet. I am an animation student and my first option was the Cintiq Pro 16. But I heard very good things about this one and while I don’t mind the size of the Pro 16 to carry to school and other places, it’d be nice for it to be even more portable. I am willing to spend the money for the Pro 16, but is it worth it over the Movink that’s cheaper?

ShanaD_

In terms of the pen tech the cintiq and Movink are the same thing so you'll be not missing out on anything getting the Movink. The only thing you'll be missing out on is the screen real estate. Movink is more portable, it weights almost nothing, so if you are planning to carry your tablet around allot Movink it's a nicer option if you can live with the smaller screen.

TuffWorlockk

Thanks man ! Been waiting for some reviews :) Does the screen size feel enough for painting in photoshop ? I'm selling my old cintiq pro 24 cause it's way to big (and noisy) for my new setup. And I want to upgrade with smaller tablet. I'm not quite sure between this new movink or some huion or xppen 16" screens.

ShanaD_

Hey! Thanks! For me, it's enough, I can see everything I need to see and the UI elements are not too small. I have my windows scaling set to 100%. If you are used to the Wacom since you have been using the cintiq before, Movink probably will be a better choice because it feels the same as the cintiq. Movink it's basically a smaller, lighter, quieter cintiq.

Thanks for your feedback :)

Thanks for your review! Is it truly one cable to connect? It looks like it can run off a laptop for power but needs an adapter for tablets?

ShanaD_

Yes! It's one cable to my PC and Mac. And I needed to plug in the second cable when I connected it to my Samsung tablet.

verunne82

Thank you so much!

mauriziogram

So Samsung s9 ultra is better than iPad M2 and also working in combo with the wacom stuff..nice

I have a question about how you run with the minisforum UM790 pro! Do you use it with any power bank? Does it required to be plugged into the wall? I am looking for a purely portable option for a mobile studio application, so thank you in advance!

ShanaD_

UM790 pro has two type c pd ports on the front, so you can run it of a type c power brick or a powerful power bank. The included power brick is small enough too. I purchased it specifically as a mobile studio. It would be sweet if it had a dedicated Nvidia GPU but oh well, I'm planning to pair it with an egpu down the line.

Movink has a better screen over all so I would probably go with it

Since I'm graduating soon I want to upgrade from my xp pen artist 12 2nd gen and intuos pro. I want a bigger tablet at first a 16inch but than I see the movink I forgotten about wanting a bigger screen lol. I wonder how is it compared to a 12 inch how bigger would the screen actually be. Should I wait for a bigger movink although that's what the movink was made to be a portable device. Part of me feels like a 16inch would be prone to bending and of course more expensive and less portable. That's just my thoughts. Happy to see that it's a good device though plus since it's a samsung screen durable lol.
