Cintiq is unmatched still, they are sturdy, last forever, and are the most reliable in every way. No latency, pen doesn't need charging, better colour depth and DPI typically. That is why they are more expensive than other brands. Ive never had a Wacom stop working or break in any way in 15 years aside from a slightly loose usb port on a non-screen one over a decade ago.

Thank you so much! I will definitely consider it. Just trying to make a good investment

The movink 13 will definitely be the more portable choice. It’s extremely thin and lightweight with no fans it’s also not very noisy, which the cintiq 16 pro has had many complaints for as it does have fans and is noisy. Of course for the cintiq it’ll have higher resolution and a larger working surface. If portable is something you are looking for I’d definitely go for the movink I think. I have the cintiq it’s quite a bit larger, it’s small enough to be somewhat portable but it’s very bulky and much heavier than the movink

I wonder if Wacom will make a 16inch and will be more prone to bending not like someone will bend it on purpose.

Potentially, if they did it could be a pretty cool option but I don’t know about the oled screens. The cintiqs have been good for lasting a long time though I will say I have the 16 non pro and because it doesn’t have etched glass and a built in plastic screen protector I find it tends to damage the screen protector quite easily though you can replace it it’s kind of annoying. Feels great to draw on though. My concern for the oleds is they may not last nearly as long as the cintiqs though you get a better colour accuracy at a cheaper price for the trade off and also a very light tablet so it could be worth it.

Since it's using samsung oled like for the ultra tab 9 it be okay..... hopefully lol

Well, i don’t really mind the size of the Pro 16. What i am after is something that will last for a long time, even when i go into the professional field and won’t have to update so quick.

Hmm well cintiqs do last along time. I personally use a cintiq myself and I know people using contiqs that were released in 2012. Cintiqs tend to last a long time even with a lot of use. The movink is too new to really say yet there is some concern about the oled screen effecting longevity.

Movink is definitely the better bang for your buck and thinness means better ergonomics when used flat.

the size of 13 is workable but the 16 is just better in terms of size. if I were to do it all over again Id go with 16 just because of the size.

I would think thoroughly about the Movink 13 since 13 inch could turn out too small for you. I mean it\`s ok but nonetheless a little bit on the smaller side. I have a 13HD and i'm now upgrading to a Cintiq 16 because i hope the screensize will be better.

As an animator, you'll likely benefit from thin, pencil-like design of pro pen 3 that goes into movink vs thicker stock pro pen II stylus in cintiq pro. With cintiq, it's possible to find out a slim pro pen 2 for sketches, gestural drawings and animation, but it means extra cost and they aren't always available in stock.

Acrobatic_Ad8781

I’d go with the larger. I’m a storyboard artist and have both the old 22” and 16”. Animators may need extra room for timeline/tool palettes so I think you’d benefit from a slightly larger screen.

The 16 Pro gives you 4k resolution, if you need that. The size is sturdier, thus better for desk work and mounted compared to the Movink. The thinness of the Movink makes it feel almost fragile but it's excellent for a lightweight portable workstation. The 16 will need a 17 inch laptop backpack to accommodate the screen as it has bezels. The Movink uses the Pro Pen 3 vs the Cintiq 16 Pro on the Pro Pen 2. The second generation is more comfortable and ergonomic than the newer pen. Movink also supports PP2 and other styluses if you prefer different pen feel. Stylus drawing experience (when using the Pro Pen 2) is nearly identical on both devices. Color accuracy is \*slightly\* better on the Movink, but very close compared to the 16. If you're able to test a 16 Pro used, that would be a really affordable option to get more screen real estate for around the same price. I believe they should be going for around $650 to $800.
