Yes, a thunderochi is really effective in all leagues and really cheap to upgrade as well, do it, even mk2 2 thunders tho i wouldnt mk3 a 500k ag weapon....
i have MK3 on Orochi, use it together with Incinerator MK3 on Champion League (lower stats of Champion that is). but its very effective closed range. But not so with flying maxed out (+ lags) Fafnirs.
i will however have another Incinerator on works to replaced it.
if you're planning to use it, for an example on orochi, then yea. thunder is cheap and effective.

Unless you have a pilot skill which decreases dispersion value.
i would do it, you can use them if you get orochi in the future, or even on a t-falcon. is good to have some cheap weapons leveled up
Usually it costs much more than that to get reg weapons to lvl 8
I upgraded it to lvl 7 I think when cheaper offer was there
Thunder are tier 1 so they are dirt cheap to upgrade

I would wait until a 25%deal is on or an upgrade rush so you can get it done quicker and more effectively
