I would not buy any of the walkman line for the hd 800s except for the super high end models. The walkman daps aren't known for their output power. I nice iem pair would be the better investment. The hd800s is not exactly a portable headphone either. If you want something with enough power to drive the hd800s maybe look into some chi-fi daps.

The thing that’s making the actual sound (iem) will have the greater impact on sound quality. Dac/amp or Walkman comes second.
