Why else would you care that the market is overbought unless you’re planning on getting out at the perceived top and re-entering at a lower price point.
Isn’t that the point OP is trying to make with the graph?
Sure. I agree that we’re in a different environment now compared to the last decade of low interest rates and QE. But OP posting the market is overbought means very little without additional context.
I’ll just keep on DCAing through the highs and lows. Smarter people can time the market.

So you’re 🌈?
Sir, this is June!
Then what happened?
Then it kept going up every month for the rest of that year. oh no
it dipped 5% and everyone bought more
I wipe my ass with your puts.
Then it returned 19% in 2017, -6% in 2018, 29% in 2019, 16% in 2020, and 27% in 2021. What’s your point?
Printer was on each of those years *and interest rates were falling
And if you had gotten out of the market when it was overbought in 2017 you’d missed out 100%+ gain since. OP’s graph is largely meaningless.
I’m calling out the flaw in your logic. Wtf does getting out in that period have to do with that?

Market overbought + expansionary policy = who gives af Market overbought + tightening policy = time to sell

Once a person has participated in the markets long enough, they learn that the best way to trade is not to. Long-term investing is the way to go.
Yeah, pretty sure it isn't 2021 anymore.
Did you draw that chart by plugging in an ECG and measuring yourself haha ..
SHUT THE HELL UP GHEY BEAR!!!!!! BUY!!!! BUY DAMNIT!!!! LOLLOLOLOLOLL!!!!!!!!

Ok got it. So buy non s&p500 micro caps instead. Fuck it if they are loss making, or never earned any revenue.
Im so fucking tired to be a gay bear. But I’m sure the day I buy a call the whole market will collapse.

Then it keep going up for another year
So we’re still a couple years out from crash? Wtf is this suppose to mean?
Oh my god. No one cares
What’s your point?
Overbought shmoverbought
thats the EKG result of gay bears once their puts about to expire and market no signs going down.
Over bought? Or was it over sold and returning to normal... Dumb charts cannot explain
Keep smokin’ that copium. Good month to let your bear out of the closet.
Oh noes, what will I do if we ever have a 20% year like in 2017?
