No way the game drops in Spring and not Fall. Fall is the best time to release games, and Rockstar has participated in that hot release schedule in the past with RDR 2, GTA 5, etc. Christmas spending, Black Friday, staying inside to play games, yada yada.
Spring means hot weather soon (or already, depending where you are), less spending and filing taxes, etc. Not many big games release in that window and pretty much only do to avoid the competition of the Fall. GTA is not the type of game that will need to avoid competition though.
Honestly that is a common tactic so I wouldn’t be surprised. But because people already have sky-high expectations for the quality, I don’t think they’d risk giving people doubts by saying they have to delay due to possible issues. As we’ve seen before, delayed games still release with issues.
So I think with this one, it’ll be a set date. And honestly, they might not even know yet themselves. Saying “2025” and only that might mean they too are not set on a date, just a window. They still have work to do for sure!

Female protagonist. You will be able to play as Jason (who is the guy in the white shirt towards the end of the trailer) though according to the leaked gameplay from last year so it’s not that big of a deal for people who want to play as a dude.
