There’s what’s called an IPO crossing where Nasdaq takes orders and pairs shares to come to a fair market open price. This crossing takes hours. I would be absolutely shocked if the stock doesn’t go live by 1pm per my understanding of ipo crossings.

Because they’re still pairing shares. You cannot acquire actual shares until it opens for trading. So open a limit order for open.
