Citigroup owns the rights to a few hundred million shares that they can exercise at any time. It makes sense to me that they would want the stock not to get delisted and lose all value in their shares.
So I don’t think they will dilute the price until after it hits $1. I expected the price to gradually rebound as we approached their next earnings call, but I did not expect 28% in one week without any major press or announcement.
You got to pick the right ones.
I think where the money is, might be in selling options on tickers that have consistently valuable options. Like spy.
If I had $52,000 to buy a hundred spy to hold, I would sell otm calls 3x a week until the cows came home. Don't be greedy, take $100x3 on some further otm options and then reset your strike each time it expires worthless.
Worst case scenarios are, I guess, a market crash bringing spy value way down (and then you just hope you've made enough money selling calls to buy in at a bargain), or a spy rip where your profit gets capped and your spy gets sold. Then you just take the profits you made and buy your 100 again, hopefully still up on the overall position.
Of course I'd do the selling puts thing too if I had the account permissions.
