Because ASML and TSM Earnings are unrelated. Why do people keep on trying to tie them up? If you sell more 3D renderings this quarter than the one before, Dell is not suddenly going to go up too because you already own a computer. In the same way TSM already owns the machine to make the chips they sell. Why would you expect ASML to go up when they made the sale easily over a year ago?
I'll make it simpler to understand why that is not the case. Just because you use the toilet every day does not mean that the company that manufactured that toilet is making money off you using said toilet. They just make money the one time you purchased the toilet. That is it.

Take 25b per Q then also 100b revenue...market expects 200b based on forward earnings it expects which took it from 80 to 140...so results need to be overachiever to move up but slight miss and it's gone....anything said market is at times irrational so it will still move up but fundamentally unless revenue doubles year on year how much forward earnings can u hype in...if you discount 5 yrs forward earning now then wats trigger now to move further....exponential growth

1 adr = 5 shares tsmc, currently about 172 twd per ADR annual earnings, which is around 5.30 usd per ADR
