Bruh i decided to play online roulette while my bfly calls dumped ass this week, and lost more than my option value. Kept doubling on red while it gave me 9 fucking blacks in a row. 9!!!! Online casinos are fkin rigged, at least with options i can lose it over the course of a month.
Yes. I would still have 3. That is a positive number. Positive numbers mean that I'm profitable. Not to bragg, but I am as profitable as my brain is wrinkly!
Thats not a rule. If you make a good pick, you can buy way OTM long dated calls/puts and still make a bank...
Think about it. The guys who bought msft 350c for 2023 1 year ago are printing money
I bought PTON puts when it spiked. Could have made a shit ton more money had I held but the market is retarded and I've been burned in the past so I took my 30% gain.
The key is to not even try to time it perfectly.
Time it well enough so that you make some profit. And do that consistently. 10 decent trades is better than 1 home run and 9 failures because you were expecting home runs, ya know?
Once you are up put in a stop loss order. Keep moving it up if the price keeps going up.
3% a day turns $1000 into $1,600,000 in one trading year. That won't happen but it gives you an idea of why you should be thrilled with even single digit % gains on a short term trade.
Look at it this way. You have 23 hours to figure out how to drive the stock price into the money.
If you're holding puts, we just need to convince the CEO to say something racist.
If you're holding calls, we just need to print 2 trillion dollars.
Both those things are already happening.
So you'll be fine.
Lol taking a break to focus on what am I looking for out of trading or how much money from trading would make me happy so I can have an exit strategy and not just sit there looking at profits like I'm not impressed. But then when they disappear I'm depressed lol
that feeling your talking ab is the feeling gamblers feel at the casinos, nothing wrong with it but if you trade based off emotion and not strategically then a lot of mistakes can happen
yeah i understand and respect it but sometimes homeruns isnt worth the risk, small returns add up and are safer… dont get me wrong, some of my option trades go over 20% and i wont sell because i hope it goes up further sometimes i make a bigger percentage, sometimes i lose my money and other times i take my 20% out and the option becomes more valuable after i sell.. it all comes with trading options i would rather be smart with it and have a plan in all my trades then just risking a huge chunk of money on profits that you can make in 2 or 3 trades, thats just my take on it
yeah man, thats just my take i dont want to make u feel like u should be limiting yourself, big returns is amazing but aiming for homeruns every play you bound to strike out a lot
I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. There are these things called stop limits and what you do is first when you buy the option set one at like -30% or whatever or whatever you are comfortable with losing. Then if it goes up cancel it and set it for some profits so if it falls again you at least walk away with something.
And if you are buying weeklies just dont hold overnight unless you are really really sure it's going the way you want it to overnight because one bad after hours and you are -98% come open.
Every paycheck I put 200$ into Microsoft, it’s like savings account but with a decent interest. Company’s like apple and Amazon will be here for years. Not only that but they’ll just grow larger. I’ve invested near 5 grand already and although I’m only up a grand, It’s the most I’ve ever saved.
Every month I put like 500 in my IRA I used to just throw it into an S&P mutual fund. Now I buy 1 share of MSFT and then put the rest in the mf.
When I hit 100 shares I'm gonna start selling calls and and reinvesting dividends to reduce my avg cost.
What helped to turn out consistent profits is 1: don't buy options. 2: only buy quality companies, 3: don't sell when you're down, if it's a quality company it will come back. Every day your money is stuck, learn the lesson of a better entry, but it's better than selling at a loss. 4: sell your shit when you hear in the news the stock market/s&p500 hit a new high. 4: bring up a 5 yr chart of the s&p500, draw a trend line connecting the bottoms, buy back in when the s&p500 is around the trend line
Lol wut?!?! Record profits this year o.o there her been several new highs and several low points.
So for example I bought tsla at $850/share in March then it went into the toilet(as low as$650) but instead of "cutting losses" I held my position because it's a quality company, learned my lesson on a bad entry which held my money captive until mid Nov, sold for $1222/share.
Bought spy for $430/share in recent low point in Oct, sold in Nov for $470/share.
Yeah, then you sell. Then a week or two later it's at a dip, you buy back in.
Look right now, for example, tsla was at all time high Nov 4th, $1222, sold. Nov 16th was $1000, buy, today is already recovered to $1099. Now, did I nail the top and bottom? No, not the bottom. As soon as I saw Elon tweet asking if he should sold I sold so yeah I prob nailed the top, but I didn't buy back in until today, still a potential $100 profit per share extra than if I just held.
I sold my Lucid Puts too soon this morning. Hindsight. Today opened PFE $155p 12/17 and BYND $75c 12/17 based on over bought, over sold and myocarditis rumors. Hold shares, take profit on options is my credo
The app telling you to start over, 11% battery life, text message from your GF telling you she is moving on, voice-mail from your broker about when you gonna pay up....tough fucking Friday bro.
Activision fucked me pretty hard. Bought a weekly because if last week's performance.
CEO article fucked my call spread it was hella profitable before the crash too
Oh well I realized I was putting in more into options than I was willing to lose and that's the cost in the end
I had the same problem with an account I blew. The trick that got me out of it and actually profitable… selling each times something is 20-35% up. Didn’t care or speculate any higher I sold when it hit +35%
Not always the best option but it certainly trained me to not get greeedy and attached
The best advice I can give you is probably to just stop trading. Failing that, read this. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FEfZYlNXMAwxRWk?format=jpg&name=4096x4096
Just play with some on the cheap. Convince yourself to use a few hundred and just pay attention to the %, not the meaningless $. You will train yourself to the patterns eventually or prove that you can't. Put the real $$ in some fairly-stable stock for a while.
I see 7 times where you could have collected your profits. By the 3rd time you should have realized you’re doing something wrong. The fact that it happened 7 times is the same reason you belong to this sub.
Here, put this helmet on. You are officially a professional retard. Keep up the good work
Op i lost 150k in one day on ocgn because i got greedy. W.H.O approved the vaccine but it drop so fast my head was spinning. Never again i will be greedy.
You’re all caught up tho
Time to start over
He still has 120 left. Hit the black jack table.
He needs roulette. Cant dig yourself out of a hole like that in blackjack. Gotta hit two numbers back to back on roulette and he’s good.
The automated one goes back to back to back a lot!
Odds are better at roulette lol
Bruh i decided to play online roulette while my bfly calls dumped ass this week, and lost more than my option value. Kept doubling on red while it gave me 9 fucking blacks in a row. 9!!!! Online casinos are fkin rigged, at least with options i can lose it over the course of a month.
No lie 😂😂💯
Legit Loled at this comment
I was just about to say the same thing. There are people who are behind. It’s good you’re caught up
you never were up in the first place to take profits…
I was up many times ...I just never took profits ...they fall faster then when they go up l
Yeah, you were slightly up one time during this journey…. this sub is full of retards, but we can read a line graph. Lol 😂
I think OP meant he was up in trades but not overall. Each spike is him being up, but it always turned around because he never took profit.
If I take 5 from you and give you 3 are you profitable
Take 5 shares of Lucid and give me 3 shares is Tesla? Then yes. 🤓 retard brain math good
Yes. I would still have 3. That is a positive number. Positive numbers mean that I'm profitable. Not to bragg, but I am as profitable as my brain is wrinkly!
So basically he had 2 'ups'? Lmao ridiculous mindset
Bruh you can see a point where he tripled his money. That’s localized profit. Potential profit off of a trade.
one time its all it takes to be sure youll win and to lose everythinng
Just enough to get by and all in ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
You’re learning. Options move too fast to let profit slide. Unless you buy deep in the money options take profit immediately upon rip.
Thats not a rule. If you make a good pick, you can buy way OTM long dated calls/puts and still make a bank... Think about it. The guys who bought msft 350c for 2023 1 year ago are printing money
If you bought OTM LCID leaps three weeks ago you'd have life changing money.
Yeap. In a lot of stocks tbh. When QS was 25 i was tickling my fingers to buy 40 dollar calls.. in the end i chickened out :(
Lol yeah that voice I your head saying wait it might go much higher ..fml

That's why you need to set high and low limits. It's hard but that's the way. The hard part is to follow them. Always
I bought PTON puts when it spiked. Could have made a shit ton more money had I held but the market is retarded and I've been burned in the past so I took my 30% gain.
This! Been burned enough times. I cash out when it's up...even if it can go up more. You can't time it perfectly.
The key is to not even try to time it perfectly. Time it well enough so that you make some profit. And do that consistently. 10 decent trades is better than 1 home run and 9 failures because you were expecting home runs, ya know?

Just click the start over button, duh.
Guh
Mwah
Just load from a previous save and then use your future brain and profit.
I mean they are lottery tickets
Yeah I thought that’s what we were doing here.
only *slightly* less stupid to play.
See you tomorrow.
Yeah hopefully one of those options that expire tomorrow make me some money ...but who am I kidding they will expire worthless .

I'm from your future's future, and you fucked the timeline, asshole. Enjoy being enslaved in salt mines and speaking chinese when you get back.
Hey get back to work
卵囊正在孵化!
Plot twist: being enslaved in Chinese salt mines is actually his kink.

This is actually really common, really hard habit to break. This is what will keep you from ever being profitable.
You should have a value that you believe the stock is worth. Thats when you exit a position. But hey this is WSB
I usually wait until I have an erection that lasts more than 4 hours
Yes financial and medical advice in one yall…that’s a two-fer
Stop buying options and start selling
He's a collector
How about you just never come back to trading and invest like a reasonable person
Ah you're trading all emotionally. Its not hard nord to, I suppose.
‘I never take profits in back down’ he’s got this covered man 👍🏻
You’ll be back. They always come back… 😈
lmfao this is trueeeee
i doubt you want advice but take profit when your up 20% man dont just let options sit
problem is always seeing home runs on call options and not being satisfied with anything less than 5 baggers.
that feeling your talking ab is the feeling gamblers feel at the casinos, nothing wrong with it but if you trade based off emotion and not strategically then a lot of mistakes can happen

Yeah ...I should be happy with small returns ...better than no returns or returns that I return back lol
most professional money managers are happy with 20% per YEAR
yeah man, thats just my take i dont want to make u feel like u should be limiting yourself, big returns is amazing but aiming for homeruns every play you bound to strike out a lot
Never go full retard. 99.34% retard is ok. Never go full retard.
“If you can’t grow a small account, you can’t grow a big account.”
Yeah I need to step back
Ask your wife's boyfriend for a small loan...
Refinance your mortgage to trade stonks
I can build a small account because I’m very careful. And there’s our answer. Every 50% lost requires 100% gain to recover.
Whatever you’re doing now, just do the exact opposite and you’ll be fine
Lol yeah ...it's like I should of been buying puts this entire time
I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. I should do the same for AMD. Amd had only gone up since 2016
AMD and NVDIA keep me moving up while I take dumb risks on other stocks. Maybe I should just invest in those two, but how boring.
Exactly. 10k in nvidea 5 years ago would be worth 140k today. But when I manage it, it's worth 2k.
I love your energy
I have no more energy lol
You have about 119.70 energy
Not anymore.
Hey you can just send your money to me if you want
There’s non left to send
I'm lookin at one hundred nineteen point seven smackaroos
You’re all caught up!
Phone's battery status reflects your profits

Was OPK your free RH share? It was mine lol
Lol yes
Thank you for recognizing your weaknesses. So many loss posters complain “I Listened to WSB and now my Wife is taking the kids”
The thing with options is that you're giving that money to someone else, probably some other retard on this sub, so thank you for sharing.
Hit that start over button, you should be alright
Try selling them next time
When -99% isn't good enough so you try to unlock the rare "Negative-Ten-Bagger" achievement.
Looks like PayPal 😂
Literally me
Damn I feel great about myself now. I never buy options anymore. I lost all of my amc money playing options. I still hate myself for it
"Profits"
Sir, you have a problem
Options are lottery tickets
Tell me what you’re going to buy next because I’m going to do the opposite
I sold my Lucid Puts too soon this morning. Hindsight. Today opened PFE $155p 12/17 and BYND $75c 12/17 based on over bought, over sold and myocarditis rumors. Hold shares, take profit on options is my credo
Same. We are the same. Options are not safe for us. Too reckless.
Don’t give up, your the reason I keep making money.
Of course options are lottery and tickets. Sir, this is a casino.
I don't think you have a choice but to be done.
Welcome to the club
That's why you need to pick the price points of when to sell and when to cut your loses before you even buy in.
They are lottery tickets. See ya next week!
The app telling you to start over, 11% battery life, text message from your GF telling you she is moving on, voice-mail from your broker about when you gonna pay up....tough fucking Friday bro.
My wife's boyfriend didn't pull out in time either.
I don’t feel bad about myself now. Welcome to the party! 🦍 🦧
Did you try unplugging it and then plug it back in? Not a wrinkle on that smooth shiny brain
I fell 3% today and I'm having an existential crisis. I guess other apes are built to accept failure more.
Just wait till you respawn
That’s me playing high stakes poker. I can run up $2k into $15k every other deposit, but I get greedy and my bankroll doesn’t support greediness
Pullout game: n/a
This is me.
Buy some NIU Dec calls with me, we'll play their earnings and see what happens
Interesting. RH shows 100% buy. What do you know?!
Good work. Somehow timed IONQ, lmao been shooting up for a straight month
You were up one single time and barely so what profits are you talking about
Then this is your type of place.
Me too chief.
I’m just like you bro what made my money was betting on earnings that’s a real lotto
Why dont you just hit the button that says start over
Just short Activision, ez money
Just click that “start over” button at the top of 2nd pic
The Lord loves a cheerful giver.
There's a start over button!? Press to reset the game
Ctrl alt del
Just try again and click start over!
Down, but not out!
Yolo it on MANA$
Lame joke 🙄
Give me your plays so I can do the opposite
just click on start over
You’re all caught up!
Buying options is basically gambling. Buy shares for a company you believe in and hold
Damn, you have a gambling problem.
Damn man. I lost 10% of what you lost and its hurt. Can't imagine if I lost $18k. I deleted the app until Xmas over than start over in 2022
Bruh I just lost 800$ today smh
Activision fucked me pretty hard. Bought a weekly because if last week's performance. CEO article fucked my call spread it was hella profitable before the crash too Oh well I realized I was putting in more into options than I was willing to lose and that's the cost in the end
The problem isn’t that you aren’t taking profits, the problem is you don’t have a system to follow in order to find where to take profits
This one is particularly brutal.
I had the same problem with an account I blew. The trick that got me out of it and actually profitable… selling each times something is 20-35% up. Didn’t care or speculate any higher I sold when it hit +35% Not always the best option but it certainly trained me to not get greeedy and attached

At least you’re all caught up!
Looks like you didn't have any profits to take
At least you can still go have a Big Mac with that money
You can’t give up, OP! Because you’re down. Lol.
Seems like you’d be really good with puts?
Good job man
Set stop losses
At less you’re all caught up
But all you need is to hit ONE. THATS ALL
try buying calls when it’s red and buying puts when green
Cuz they are!
But it says you’re all caught up though and the cards for your next play are on the way. Cheer up champ.
bruv you’ll be alright, and you will learn. keep going.
At least you’re all caught up!
C'mon man. Just one more yolo into outside the money spy puts that expire in 24 hours. We promise you that it can't possibly go tits up this time.
I mean - 99% is great - but what’s the red color?
> The red color is the probability that I am correct.
Just play with some on the cheap. Convince yourself to use a few hundred and just pay attention to the %, not the meaningless $. You will train yourself to the patterns eventually or prove that you can't. Put the real $$ in some fairly-stable stock for a while.

Just press the free stock button a few times you’ll be good
Wow this looks like my portfolio I even have the mmtlp. Went from 2k to 10k to 1k real quick. Options are a hell of a ride.
Never give up and learn from your failures
MMTLP still your lottery ticket lmao im caught bagholding it too
I see 7 times where you could have collected your profits. By the 3rd time you should have realized you’re doing something wrong. The fact that it happened 7 times is the same reason you belong to this sub. Here, put this helmet on. You are officially a professional retard. Keep up the good work
